    Nexus One, though old, is an excellent phone. I am using one for last couple of years and am super happy with it. It is WAY batter than other 12K phones you get in India. I'll say go for it, if budget is the constraint. If your friend/you are the techie kind, and can unlock phones for yourself, then it may open a lot of other options. But, if nothing else, he won't regret getting a nexus one,

    If you have got an invite, but are still unable to signup, install the android app. It'll sync automatically every few mins, and will get you the signup for as soon as google starts accepting few registrations. Until then you'll see and error message every few mins, but I guess it's worth the pain, if you're so keen in getting in. Please PM me if you need an invite.

  12. I've used atlona convertors in the past. Their quality is very good. No issues with sync etc. Just do a little research on the web for Atlona converters, and you'll find lots of happy users. Other cheap converters.... yes, you'll regret spending money on them. Very good quality voltage converter is 500Rs. No issues at all. I've been using it with my LCD that I bought from US for years now. If the TV is shipped under your usual baggage allowance, there is nothing extra that you have to pay for shipping. A 37" TV will be well under size and weight dimensions that airlines accept for free. So, if your parents don't have other baggage, I'll encourage you to explore the options.

    After doing some research, ordered Optimum Nutrition's Strawberry flavored Whey protein from ebay. As far as the taste and consitency of the shake are concerned, I mix it with milk and it tastes good. As far as the results are concerned, time will tell.... I take caesin (not regularly). More sustained release. Seems to work for me. Besides that, soya and soya milk.

    I have the same projector. Awesome machine. Touch-wood, no problems so far... [mine is a bit less than a year old]. I suspect it is either an issue with your cable/connector or because of overheating. You should check the following: - Did you remove the sticker (kind of transparent film) that cover the projector ? this blocks all the ventilation holes, and must be removed before the projector is used. Otherwise it will overheat and can cause such problems. - Did you check for other signs of overheating? - Do the dots still appear when you have the on-screen-menu open ? Or when you play video from USB drive? If no, then maybe you have a faulty cable/connector. hope that helps.
