  1. The opening post and the title presents only half the information and creates the wrong impression that Reliance have turned a new leaf. Rs. 98 gives 1Gb 3G data usage for 2 Days only. The same 1Gb data for Rs. 153 comes with 7 days validity and If you shell out Rs. 255, it will hold good for 30 Days.
  2. Saurav, shift to Chrome or Firefox for a faster and overall better user experience. The ads you mentioned appearing in web pages can be blocked by add-ons and extension features offered by these browsers. In Google Chrome, install AdBlock With Firefox you would need Adblock Plus add-on. There are other alternatives like Adsweep and Flashblock but I found the above to do a more effective job.
  3. Samsung Galaxy Y CDMA

    ^ ^ ^ It was sold out earlier -
  4. Android Serves Up Its Ice Cream Sandwich

HTC has updated information on which devices are receiving Ice Cream Sandwich and when. The HTC Rezound, HTC EVO 3D, HTC Rhyme and HTC Desire S will be updated by July. Other models such as the HTC ThunderBolt and HTC DROID Incredible 2 will be updated to Android 4.0 in the last days of August. Interestingly HTC says that handsets with 512MB or less of RAM will not be getting updated which means no ICS goodness for the HTC ChaCha, HTC Salsa, HTC Wildfire S, HTC Explorer and others.
  5. Samsung Galaxy S III

    Thanks for clarifying.
  6. Samsung Galaxy S III

This in all likelihood is a hoax, so use your own discretion. As per a listing on ebay, a seller has put up the Samsung Galaxy S 3 for pre-order sporting a wicked price tag of Rs.44,770. Delivery after June 1st. Link: http://www.ebay.in/itm/Samsung-Galaxy-S-III-S3-White-And-Blue-/180887785968?pt=IN_Mobile_Phones&hash=item2a1dc091f0
  7. Karbonn A9 Dual SIM Android With 1 Ghz Processor

I see they mimicked the Motorola 's Droid Eye boot animantion?
  8. Samsung Galaxy S III

Quad-Core Exynos processor will adorn our S3. The US version will come with the equally compelling S4 Dual-Core processor which is compatible with the LTE network there.
  9. Google had to agree to keep Android free and available for anyone to use for at least the next five years in order to gain China's approval to purchase Motorola Mobility. Funny, I least expected China to be believers in openness and freedom.
  10. Samsung Galaxy S III

Samsung has received some 9 million pre-orders for its third-generation Galaxy S smartphone from more than 100 global carriers, the Korea Economic Daily reported on Friday. This should put the apprehensions to rest. S3 is a success.
  11. Samsung Galaxy Y CDMA

Display: 3″ 256K-color TFT LCD with 240 x 320 pixels CPU: 600MHz ARMv6 processor Memory: 256MB RAM, 164MB internal storage. OS: Android 2.3.3 Poor specs even for a low range phone. And launching a device in mid 2012 with Gingerbread is just unforgivable.
  12. The point of this article is that the recently conjured Windows Phone 7.5 cannot even stand up to the original OS of nokia - Symbian and even infant Meego when it comes to the usability of the phone. In any part of the world usability is more important than its applications. And I doubt that the next version of WP is going to address all these listed issues.
  13. Please suggest EVDO Handset for Tata Indicom

You can go in for Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos I589. It will set you back by Rs.13,500.
  14. Android Serves Up Its Ice Cream Sandwich

Sony Xperia S While there is no official word yet, one of the members of Sony support staff commented on their forum that the official ICS update for the Xperia S will start rolling out by late May/early June.
  15. Aircel Launches New 3G Plans

Should give Aircel a try now. Hope these fares won't be revised after garnering enough subscribers.
  16. Best GSM Android Phones in India

Anyone in the forum using the Motorola Atrix 2?
  17. Samsung Galaxy S III

Peek into what is now going through the mind of a SG S2 user The screen gets bumped from 4.3 inch to 4.8 inch but it beats me why Samsung will opt for a cheap PenTile display in such a long awaited, flagship phone. HD Super Amoled display of the SG S3 uses the Pentile RGBG pixel arrangement which have lower overall subpixel density, which translates to reduced sharpness and degraded color accuracy. Samsung is obviously relying on the high resolution of the display (306 ppi) and good contrasts of the amoled technology to hide this shame (like with the Galaxy Nexus). Going from Super Amoled Plus to Super Amoled will be like taking one step backward. I may be wrong, we have to wait for actual reviews to confirm these fears. The quad core exynos processor will trounce competition! I'm not sold on S Voice and Smart Stay eye tracking just yet. Time to seriously consider the HTC One X.
  18. This topic explores the best replacement for stock apps on your Android phone. Web Browsers A smartphone’s usefulness is very much dependent upon its web browser and is undoubtedly, one of the most used apps. In the prehistoric ages (all of five years ago ), you were lucky if your smartphone could render images on a webpage, but now it’s possible to use your phone to view the internet in all of its glory – well, most of its glory. In the case of Android devices, there are a lot of browsers to choose from and each one has its own strengths and weaknesses, making it better suited for some tasks but less suited for others. Which browser you’ll want to use depends on what you want to do with it. Who says you can’t install two (or more) browsers anyway? In choosing a browser for your phone, you have to judge it by the rendering performance, web compatibility, viewing performance, features, and general ease of use. Also you have to take into account the more tenuous data connection, the smaller screen and the kind of tasks that you need or want to do on your handset. The beauty of Android is that you have options, and you’re not stuck with just one browser. Though third-party browsers are available for iOS as well, Apple doesn't allow such tools to replace the built-in Safari browser altogether. I have rounded up some of the most popular Android browsers here, Vote for the one you feel deserves the crown. If I have omitted any, please post here so that it may be added. Video Players Most of you will probably agree if I say that the stock video player for Android is a pretty solid application that caters to our needs of playing videos on our beloved phone. For those who find the stock video player a little short in features, well, the Android Market hosts several third-party apps that will cater to your requirements for seamless and almost skip-free video playing and also provide many additional features. Vote for the video player that you will vouch for. Did we miss out your favourite player for Android? If so, please post below so that it may be listed. Launchers Android's greatest, platform-defining feature is customizability. Other mobile OSes provide little room for home screen customization, but Android has several choices for you and your inner creativity. Called “launchers” or “home screen replacements”, these apps allow you to customize the way the screen looks when you press the Home button on your phone. The best part is that anyone can do it and there is absolutely no hacking or trickery involved; just download, install and begin customizing. But which launcher replacement is the best? 19. Movies That You Loved (Or Hated) - Part II

The Avengers 5 / 5 Not to be missed at any cost I have been waiting to see this movie ever since Nick Fury turned up in the closing scene of Iron Man (2008) and uttered those words - "I'm here to talk about the Avengers initiative." It really is the ultimate superhero mash up and it is executed perfectly. The heros come from diverse backgrounds and have lots of differences and egos flying around at first. The antagonist/bad guy is Loki. And Hulk is super awesome in the second half of the movie!
  20. Beat The Stock : Vote For The Best Alternatives On Android

The poll I had created in the opening post is missing now?
  21. No, it doesn't have a RUIM slot. Number needs to be programmed.
  22. Hope to clear a few things up. The loyalty offer was given to those who have had active SkyDrive accounts prior to MS's revision of storage. Having a Windows Live account does not mean that you’ve had an active SkyDrive all along.
  23. Parin post your Speedtest results in the topic 'Flaunt Your Internet Speed'. Link :
  24. News Snippets

Samsung has announced its next generation Exynos processor that will be powering its next Galaxy smartphone. The Exynos 4 Quad comes with four Cortex A9 cores that can go up to 1.4GHz individually and is based on Samsung's 32nm HKMG fabrication process.
  25. Updated mine to 25 GB. I'm not sure of what I am going to do with that much cloud space though. For now just backed up some important documents and random snaps from the local drive, utilizing about 100 MB.
