Hi friends I bought a phone from sadik and wanted to configure my Mts number with evdo on it. Sadik seems to be very busy and do not wish to comment further on that. I was just thinking if anybody could help me out with some settings etc. My phone is an evo 4g. I mailed the mts cc and requested to reset my EVdo and got a call from them confirming it is done and all. Sadik had told me to use internet@inter.mtsindia.in as username and MTS as password. At times i get evdo speed but sadik in QPst removed use simple ip and put in the simple back..... to be honest cannot remember the exact wording. I keep getting a 67 error stating "error code 67. unable to establish wireless data connection if the problem persists please contact your mobile phone company " on my screen when the phone is idle for some time. However if i put it to simple id i do not get the error but my 3G keeps fading If anybody could help me would be great. Hi Farookh Thanks for your help but as u know i am not good at all these settings and stuff However my request to members if anybody could help me program my phone would be great even if it is on a chargeable basis

Let me say in this case i have been a little luck i mailed the cc to re provision my settings etc and recieved a call from them saying that it has beef refreshed not too sure if it means the same but atleas i got a response hwever i was getting the 67 error all the time so was wondering if a sprint issue could reflect if a phone is programmed to MTS. I have also noticed that when i click on hotspot i get a note saying u have not paid for the services or something like that in nature. Was hoping to know if anybody using Mts data does face similar issues. Anybody on mts pls let me know if your EVDO works or not on imp handsets

Aslo forgot to mention in my earlier post i am not getting charged for my EVdo services. The 67 error when appears manages to disconnect the internet and happens mostly when the phone is in idle mode

thanks for your response. I was just checking the net for the 67 error in that i found forums of people complaining about the 67 error in sprint mostly bcos they have started charging for hotspot service. My question would be If this is a sprint issue should it show up with my MTS

my suggestion would be do not go for MTS u do not get proper support and stuff. go for reliance where even if u have problems there are very knowledgeable people on this forum who can help u

May be Google will buy them out to and start hardware software and provide services too that way they will beat apple to it

okay as they cross the finish line i guess we need to focus more on moto devices. I guess all their devices will be like the nexus series instant updates and i guess in today's day that is something we all would like

you bet i did so then if it would work they would have mentioned na 3g in xyz frequency. They mention 3g only in cdma. Have u tried it in gsm

just reading the spec. you cannot use 3g on gsm correct. So if u need the full experience u will need the cdma. There should be something in which u can use the 3g in cdma and gsm

Bcos of the 3g many companies have been forced to work together if they want to provide 3g services pan India. so i guess they are getting smart and have realized why not work together uniformly increase prices and increase profit shares 20% increase in call rates just adds 20% to their profits. I am sure getting new numbers also does not give them that much profit in one instance.

The Xt883 would be a much better bet as it will be CDMA and GSM and the best part is it will support 3G as well as EVDO. Atlest we wont need to carry different phones for places where we face diff with evdo coverage or 3g coverage for a matter of fact.

Hey anybody from pune who has used the evdo services on the Epic. I got an epic and have evdo services activated on it but get really poor speeds. tried taking the phones to diff places like Dp road camp but nowhere do i get anything close to even 500kbps. Seen people claim they get real good speeds

Why not try it online very easy and clear to understand. Doubt u ca make a mistake online

Just a suggestion install Google maps and let it lock your location. I had this problem when i was using a Samsung phone on map my India and it would not find any gps bars. I installed Google maps it took some time in the open to locate my current location but after that everything else started working you could give it a shot no harm

actually i am using it just that bsnl 3g speed is not good enough that is the only problem i see. I know for a fact that reliance would be much faster. Only advantage i see is if the evo connects to the bsnl wimax that would be the best thing

if you see the country i wanna call is saudi arabia and the calling rate is 0.0938/euro/min would still add up to aprox 6rs that like a rs a min cheaper that is why i prefer skype the skp to skp is free only pay for the data
