One of my greatest fears is dropping and breaking my handset. Guess this is a common theme among smartphone users which have ushered in a whole lot of businesses making cases, covers and screens to minimize the impact. I know an Otterbox Defender can help, but I somehow don't want my smartphone to end up looking like its on a year-long daily dose of two teaspoons of ghee. And now there is good news for Motorola fans!! Google's Moto X has been crowned the king of durability with test scrores much better than Samsung and Apple. The latest "breakability" score by protection plan company SquareTrade claims Moto X is the best surviving smartphone when it comes to drops, slides, and water dunks. Coming in second place is Apple's iPhone 5S, then Apple's iPhone 5C, and lastly Samsung's Galaxy S4. 8. Hardware Purchase Suggestion Requests

Dear Krishin Rajani, The Canon 600D suggested to you is a very good DSLR and a fantastic camera to start with. See, Nikon and Canon are like Coke and Pepsi with dedicated fanboys from both side. Each of them will have favorites and you will be inundated with finer tech specs which you may never need. Buying a camera is like buying a cell phone. You gotta have the next best model!! I suggest start with the 600D, put it to good use and you will be able to answer your own questions as your expertise grows with the DSLR to your next camera.
  9. Never used a screen guard on my photon but only a back cover purchased from Ankit. The screen, touch wood, is still holding good without any scratches till date. (I travel quite a lot across Northern and Western India as a trainer).

  12. The word "Micromax" used with the word "Service Center" is a paradoxical oxymoron and should not be used together in a sentence !!!
  13. Handset Launches - News Snippets

Rajan, this Ubuntu Mobile OS thing is real cool. Would do good for the Indian mobile re-sellers like Micromax/Karbonn/Xolo/... to start talking to their Chinese OEMs to start offering this to us.
