If I recharge JIO with two plans i.e 509 plan and 999 plans and use 5 GB data per day, will it first use 2 GB high speed data of 509 plan and then high speed data of 999 plan or vice versa?

I asked this question with JIO support, and they say "it will be combined" but could not explain what is meant by "combined" and kept saying "bus dono plan add ho jayenge" and that does answer my question. Needless to say, JIO customer support is stupid and untrained

Whichever plan is activated first or which ever plan's data expires first (daily expiry) shall get activated first imho.

I am in a similar situation

So I had a Jio number during the initial days and that was the primary number of my Jio account with my email address. Subsequent Jio connections I just linked to this account. Now that first number has been disconnected for inactivity and has already been issued to another customer.

When I login to the Jio account with email address, it says unable to process the request. I am not able to switch to another linked number as well. I went it to the profile and gave a dummy email and verified it as well, but the first email remains linked to that account.

I contacted Jio but they don't seem to understand. I have sent another email with screenshots and things, let's see what they say, but meanwhile is there anything else I can do to fix this?

I need to access my Jio account with my original email address itself.

Is your old email ID visible when you login to your new numbers account through MyJio app using "sign in using sim"?

as per PDF, in details of Prepaid PV 449 following indicated. Similar details also present under other plans.

Charges while roaming- National Roaming :

    Local outgoing : Free

    STD outgoing  : Free

    Incoming : Free

    SMS (Local/STD/ISD) : 25p/38p/Rs5

The PDF has been removed but If you read under sr.no. 2, you will see that SMS is FREE and the rates mentioned below are Base rates for the sake of monetary value.

Rechecked. There is some confusion if we go by the PDF

It is clearly mentioned on the plan page as "Unlimited" with explanation under Terms & conditions point 9. Unlimited SMS referred in the plan benefits will be capped at 100 free SMS per day in compliance with TRAI Regulations.

Also in the old 399 recharge it is mentioned as 100 sms/day.

  5. 22 minutes ago, commonman said:

Most people have already recharged 399 voucher 3-4 times to avail cash back from different apps so need not recharge for a long time.

Those who have done multiple recharges will be benefited with the throttle speed of 128 Mbps instead of 64 Mbps after daily limit.

    23 minutes ago, commonman said:

Also, all SMS are paid in 399 plan as well as new plans. So now people will need separate balance topups to send sms.

No it is Unlimited (subject to daily limit as per TRAI rules).

    revised plans

    https://www.jio.com/en-in/jio-4g-plans

    149 - 28 days - 0.15 GB/day

    399 - 70 days - 1 GB/day

    459 - 84 days - 1 GB/day

    509 - 49 days - 2 GB/day

149 plan is now decent with daily limit of 0.15 GB and thereafter unlimited at 64Kbps. Now the total data is 4.2 GB for 28 days.

399 plan will now cost ₹349 (₹399 - ₹50 voucher). So instead of 56 validity we will get 70 days now by paying ₹40 extra in place of 309 plan.

459 plan will now cost ₹409 (₹459 - ₹50 voucher). So basically 399 will now cost ₹409 overall with validity of 84 days.

But the biggest draw back is that now the speed after 1GB /day will be 64 Kbps Only.:unexp:

All my calculations are for those who have at least purchased one 399 plan to get 8*₹50 vouchers. So for them eight recharges can be availed at discounted prices using vouchers. So nothing to worry about.:clap1:

  7. Latest Update :

Jio has modified its terms and uploaded a new updated Plan Vouchers PDF which states that ₹399 can be recharged any number of times to avail the 84 days benefit in future.

excerpts from the Plan Vouchers PDF:

"For all subscribers opting this plan, tariff benefits will be available for 84 days on all recharge vouchers purchased till the plan is available for subscription, thereafter customer has to recharge with Rs. 399 every 28 days. On all recharges with this PV from 12thOctober 2017 onwards, the subscribers will be provided with 8 vouchers of Rs.50/- each, each voucher will be redeemable at face value on subsequent Jio recharges of MRP Rs. 300/- or above with effect from 15th November2017. Only one voucher can be redeemed on a single recharge."

So Hurry !! today is the last day. :jumpy::clap1:

There are rumors that Jio is going to hike tariffs on 19 Oct ???

You never know - Mr. Mukesh Ambani is very much unpredictable but there are several speculations since Jio has already achieved an ARPU of ₹156.4 (September quarter) as compared to ₹154 (April - June) of Market leader Bharti Airtel (Airtel will report its September quarter results on 31st October). Source

So it's really like a gambling situation while waiting for Jio's New Tariff announcement as anything could happen.

Today I talked to Jio customer care who assured me that anyone who buys a second ₹399 plan voucher after 11th July will also get 84 days validity.

Anyway investing in ₹399 is still fine as we are getting 8*₹50 = ₹400 as refunds too. Those who have not used Amazon pay or Phone pe for recharge can earn additional ₹101 / ₹100 on their first Jio recharge of ₹399 as Cashback.

Anxiously waiting for Mr. Mukesh Ambani's Diwali Dhamaka on 19th October. (At least one thing is clear that he will never announce price Hike on the auspicious day of Diwali - rest assured imho):clap1:

Have 2 4G handsets and 1 Airtel 4G (corporate plan) and 1 Jio 4G connection.

Need the least cost plan to keep the SIM active as it is linked to banks. Have to visit regularly to NE so postpaid may be better. what is the cheapest Voda postpaid plan?

    I think Vodafone has minimum ₹149 & ₹199 Plan.

As per experience of some users, 1st & 2nd 399 recharge gives 84 days validity.

After recharge it shows 84 days validity for the 2nd upcoming plan also as experienced by some users, but has anyone confirmed that once the 2nd plan gets activated does the expiry date is after 84 days?

    Update :

Ok ! finally I got the details from the PDF from Jio website wherein the following is mentioned under terms. So only existing customers who recharged with ₹399 before 14th September 2017 will get 84 days on second recharge too. Read below:

    i. For all new subscribers opting this plan on or after 14thSeptember 2017, tariff benefits will be available for 84 days on first recharge with this plan thereafter customer has to recharge with Rs. 399 every 28 days.
ii.  All  existing  subscribers  of  this  plan  voucher,  who  recharged  with  this  PV before 14thSeptember 2017 will continue to get committed tariff benefits of 84 days  and  on  one  more  recharge  with  this  plan  will get  tariff  benefits  for  84 days. Thereafter customer has to recharge with Rs. 399 every 28 days.
iii. All existing subscribers, enrolled with Jio under any other plan Voucher and migrating  to  this  PV  or after 14th September 2017  will  also  get  84  days  on recharge  with  this  plan.  Thereafter  customer  has  to  recharge  with  Rs.  399 every 28 days.

@LTE4G If I now do 2nd recharge of Rs. 399 ( my 1st recharge of Rs.399 is going to expiry on 23rd October) will I be getting 28 days or 84 days as per the new diwali DDD ?

It is not yet clear - Jio has not confirmed for second recharge yet. May be this is why they are giving 100% cashback as it will be then totally free even if for 28 days. It is better to buy ₹399 as Voucher under My Vouchers so that it can be used with any other number in future to avail 84 days validity (& 100% refund too as ₹50 *8 cashback vouchers) in case benefit is not provided for 2nd recharge.

    1 minute ago, vishalmcp said:

@LTE4G Also, are the cashback vouchers transferable or can be used to recharge other jio numbers ?

    Thank you in advance.

No The cashback cannot be gifted in isolation. It is not transferable so it may not be available for redemption while recharging other numbers.

But the cashback will automatically get gifted when you gift the Rs 399 voucher to someone as the cashback will only be credited once this voucher of Rs.399 is redeemed and will be credited to the MyJio account of person redeeming the recharge voucher of 399.

    where to purchase from?

The cashback is applicable on recharge of Rs. 399 done between 12th Oct. to 18th Oct. from all available recharge channels viz Jio stores, MyJio, Jio.com, Reliance Digital, Partner Retail stores, JioMoney, Paytm, AmazonPay, PhonePe and Mobikwik.

    1 hour ago, commonman said:

where to use the vouchers for future recharge? My Jio  site only?

You can redeem the cashback vouchers of Rs. 50 each after 15th Nov. 2017 from MyJio app. These vouchers can be redeemed, one at a time, against recharges of Rs 309 & above plans and against Rs 91 & above data add-ons.

When will I get the 100% cashback?

You will get 8 vouchers of Rs. 50 as cashback on recharge of Rs. 399 immediately. These vouchers will be credited in your account and visible in MyJio app under My Vouchers.
In case you have purchased Rs. 399 as a voucher during the offer period, then the cashback will only be credited once this voucher of Rs.399 is redeemed.

How can I gift 100% cashback offer?

You can buy Rs. 399 voucher using MyJio by going to My Voucher section. This voucher of Rs. 399 can then be transferred to your dear ones. The cashback vouchers will be credited to the MyJio account of person redeeming the recharge voucher of 399.

@LTE4G my 399 plan expires on 20th October. Also I had not availed summer surprise plan as my connection got activated when DDD offer was running.

As mentioned earlier by you, is Jio coming with any new offers during Diwali ?

Also please suggest on the recharge plan.

    Thank you.

New offers will be announced on 19th October 2017.

Further there is a new offer (₹50 Cashback) for those who are planning to buy ₹399. The offer is available from 12th to 18th October.

    jiodhan-mobiv1.thumb.jpg.a42b0576cd3798af6f7031b66d1f34d9.jpg

Under the new Diwali Dhan Dhana Dhan offer, Jio Prime customers who purchase the Rs. 399 recharge pack between October 12 and October 18 will get eight vouchers of Rs. 50, totalling Rs. 400. The vouchers can be redeemed against future recharges of Rs. 309 or above for plans, and Rs. 91 or above data add-ons. Only one voucher can be redeemed at a time, and customers can redeem the vouchers after November 15 only. So, for example, after you get a Rs. 50 voucher, you can use it to buy a recharge of Rs. 309, and you will only need to pay Rs. 259 via debit card, credit card, netbanking, or other payment means.

    Hi All,

My current plan is JDDD for 399 (84 days) which is about to expiry in few days.

If I again recharge with JDDD for 399, will I be getting 28 days validity or 84 days validity ?

If your ₹399 plan is expiring before Diwali then you may opt for ₹309 plan as it will give you 56 GB for 56 days on the first recharge (assuming that you had recharged with ₹303 to avail summer surprise). Second time recharging with ₹399 will only give 28 days.

  15. News from India Today regarding Jio limiting voice calls for some of its subscribers.

    Quote

Reliance Jio is seemingly limiting the calls that its users can make using VoLTE on its network 300 minutes per day for some users who are apparently misusing the "unlimited calls" feature. This limit, according to reports, will not be available to all users, but only for those who are found misusing the network.

The Jio Priority team has confirmed to Telecomtalk that they're limiting the voice calls to 300 minutes per day for some users. Reason for this is that some users are allegedly misusing the Jio voice calling benefit. The report notes that these users misuse the "unlimited calls" feature by making calls for over 10 hours per day, including promotional calls. Therefore, to ensure that these Jio users don't overuse or exploit the Jio calling feature, the company is limiting the voice calls. Also, for now the limit on the voice calls is seemingly going to be applied daily. There is still no weekly limit it seems.

The limit on voice calls seems similar to how Jio limited the 4G data use earlier on its network. When it launched in September 2016, Jio offered consumers free unlimited 4G data. But soon users apparently started to misuse the unlimited data feature and apparently downloaded gigabits and gigabits of data per day. This led to Jio limiting the 4G data use to 1GB per day for consumers. Unlimited data was still available but once a user had consumed 1GB data, the speed was reduced to less than 100 kbps.

However, one big difference between the data limit and the 300-minute voice limit is that the earlier move affected all users whereas the latest limit is only for select users. However, for now there don't seem to be any exact guidelines that can tell you whether your calls on Jio will be limited or not. For now the limit is only for users misusing the Jio network but what is misuse is something that has not been made clear. Coming to the question of who all fall under this limited voice calling benefit, the report states that users who make more than 10 hours of voice calls in a day come under the category. The maximum limit for this category still remains a mystery.
