Mobile Internet Ip Address

Recommended Posts

when i visited www.ip-adress.com using rworld browser and opera i got 2 different results

opera says

IP: 91.203.96.21

Location: Oslo in Norway

Rworld browser says

IP: 202.138.126.240

Location: Bombay

why the ip addresses are different ?

also is there any way to boost mobile internet speed ?

i guess opera is the fastest browser so far for mobiles. (i am using N6265)

Dude, in the 1st case you are seeing the IP address of Opera's server. And thats very much to be expected, as all your data goes thru Opera's servers. You aren't directly connected to the net.

Right, it i like a proxy service and you are browsing the pages through Opera's server. They do it like that so that the page will get formatted on their server which will help in better compression and hence better speed.

For WAP speed test: http://www.dslreports.com/mspeed

Settings > Connections > Connections > Add a new modem connection

Use the number: #777 for dialing

Enter your MDN (10 digit number) as the username and password.

Make sure that there is no proxy address configured in the Connections congiguration.

Then launch your broswer and it automatically dial the new dialer.
