Broadband + On Samsung Corby Speed Cdma

I want to know what is the process of subscribing braodband+ plans on my samsung corby speed handset. Relaince customer care Reliance web world, all are confused, they all give different versions.

Also does any one knows if it supports high speed interent on the in-phone browser or will it work as a modem only

Go to the place where you purchased the phone, and ask for 2 months free internet offer which is going on Corby Handset for Reliance.

I purchased it from a samsung dealer. The ysaid reliance will tell you about the plans.

yesterday i spoke to reliance people on CC on phone, they said they will give two months rental waiver but taxes shall be borne by the subscriber. for subscribing I need to visit the R mobile store and fill up form and choose a plan.

Today R mobile store people say they don't know the specifics, like what are the plans, how to activate. They told me that call up samsung CC, then they said they are still to receive the details pf plan as this is a new launch specific to handset and that the plan can be activated over the phone.

Eventually the worst part about RIM there CC makes u suffer

Totally Wrong,

Its seller mistake, why dont they do there full work. They just know how to make money out of it thats it.

Has anybody been able to get the broadband + plans activated on samsung corby.

I applied for activation of evdo service on my handset from by visiting web world.

within 24 hrs I receive the message that requested plan is for HSD product and cannot be activated on RIM MDN.

now CC people on *355 says that please visit web world again and call us from there. :wacko:

Worst part about the plans are that no night usage plans are applicable for samsung corby users :'(

Did you got your new R-UIM sim. You need another SIM to get the broadband access on your phone.

yes I got the OMH sim one day one. It seems to be a technical issue. I called up CC and they confirmed that today they had activated the plan for BB+ for samsung corby but I am still getting 1X speeds. EVO mode is just not connecting. They even told me to create a new profile in browser settings but no help. they have taken a request for the technical problem. let see. How abt you. are u getting BB+ speeds on your phone.

i have activated my OMH sim card yesreday

4hrs is passed, but no sms for activation of EVDO/HSIA services.

My handset is shwing EV and 1X signal,

then when try to connect

First it tried to connect with EV, and fails

and immediately start connecting thru 1X mode.

I have also created new profile with username and password as MDN, dial number #777.

how u r getting connect?

after loosing RS60

I was able to surf at 1MBPS

and download at2 mbps today :SI: :SI: :SI: :SI: :SI: :SI:

so CC heard my voice and activated EVDO services on my number.

BUT :'( :'( :'(

If i use this sim card in other cdma handset (1x)

neconnect geting disconnectd after every 30seconds :rofl_200: :rofl_200: :rofl_200:

And

Reliance people are still trying to fool me(including service assuraance cell)

that i already got benifit of 10GB

which Neconnect people says-not true.

So iam being charged for RS1/mb -EV mode

60paise/min-1x plan

really disappointing response from CC, WW and service assurance cell

I m curious..... What happens if you use this RUIM on HTC or other EV supporting handsets. Do you get 1mbps speeds as well ??

I think so someone should try this on BB 8830 as some of them work on RUIM. Should be interesting to see if it works. If anyone has tried this plz give your feedback.

you need to activate a plan specially for corby handset by visiting web world or mobile store. then u will receive a sms. if you are not able to connect still then call up CC and repeatedly followup. i got it resolved after 4 complaints but experience is awesome even on handset you can feel the speed difference.

but still not got FREE usage.

Speed on handset- is better than 1x

laptop is really good, Feel like connected thru broadband data card :signthankspin:

^^^ What's the point really.. he says still not got Free usage of 15GB for 2 months..

More papads then.. Anyways good that atleast EVDO got activated..

but @saket be very cautious as usage & bill both will gallop in default plan..

my number is prepaid,

SO i shud get 10GB for 30days

I have called to *355- they registed my complint says 4days to resolve.

After 4days, call came says u have to upgrade to OMH sim card.(which i had already done)

I made them talk with WW guys- then also told "he is having OMH card"

After all this they closed my complint saying-upgrade sim card.

again called to CC launched same complint again(poor speedm issue)

This time,

I was sending email to netconnect.broadband and service assurance cell

Both all are hopele$$,

non of them were working on my complint for 3days.

on 4th day call came- told issue.

Also forwarded complint to nodal officer,

Visited Rcom head office in city.

And mean time i was trying to connect and my phone balance was geting reduce day by day.

on 5th day call came-saying complint resolved,

I said let me check don't close complint

I just recharged my card, try connecting

Tried on phone-worked fine(cherged 0.5/mb-mobile internet)

tried to connect thru laptop( gor 1.5mbps spped- chrged Rs1/mb)

then i Gave reply that "SUCCESFULLY CONNECT with EV mode".

and finally complaint resolved.(aur allah merban ho gaya)

From yesresday new problem as jayanth is facing.

Getting disconnected with EV as well as 1x mode

so launched complint- again waiting for 4days.

For 10 GB free usage PAPAD

WW guys launched complint 2 times

1. promotional balance not credited

2. Scheme not activated

For both complints

Resolution by backend was "offer already credited, hence no offer is pending".

WW says- can't do anythnig

Email says-either solving or offer credited

*355 CC- neconnect account balance is ZERO

And i was being chrged for all neconnect or internet usage.

When visited head office says-plz give ur handset ESN will update u shortly

Till now LONG time has passed - no reply from head office.

And finally nodal officer registed my free data usage complaint - wiat for 2days.

Today is 2nd day.

Hope today i will get free usage.

Finally

U have to activate default EVDO service by calling to CC.(*355)

Free usage- Make complint to nodal officer.

Ek baat batao is there any way to manually select which svc to use 1X or EVDO at our choice ???

visited office today,

so they open same complaint 5th time.,

No way to select 1x or evdo mode,

it comes automatically

"Bonus Talk time could not be credited as there was no such scheme". :cursing:

Now rcom started to become :Diablo:.

Will try once again 2maro, then will stop buying any reliance product in future..
