New Blackberry 8530 Curve In Cdma Evdo

Recommended Posts

There is a news that Blackberry 8530 is going to be

launched by these March end or by April first week

Rate would be in between 15,000 to 17,000.....

Please don't compare GSM & CDMA Handsets as it would start a new debate

Both the features are the same.....

I was also talking about 8530..

one of old rimweb guru told me its iden but looking at the specs it says normal CDMA handset..

even 8530 was known from last one year.

well 8350i is Iden handset which is also known as Curve.. but will work only with Nextel USA and KDDI Japan... (Rimwe guru mistaken it with 8350i) as both model number looks same..

8500 series is latest mid-end Curve.. with Trackpad and WIfi as a goodies in entry level business BB..

8520 and 8530 is launched all over the world on supported network... alas now coming to Tata and Reliance on CDMA..

as USA is ready for Essex aka Tour 2 now.. so all the 8530s going to get dumped in INDIA... IMHO..

Even if they dump their old models in India, it will sell well, because CDMA here in India, has very choices :GirandoOjos:

I am using 8520 which is GSM version of 8530. Bought it for Rs 13600 from Big Bazaar in Delhi and it is the best handset I have ever used. Built quality of all BB handsets is way ahead of a typical Nokia. Software is stable unlike the Nokia N95 which used to hang once or twice every week in the middle of calls. Moreover my home is in an area where Airtel doesn't have good coverage, so calls made by using Nokia N95 used to drop at any time. With BB 8520 I have not faced problem of dropped calls even once in 1 month. Moreover this series of BB works with wifi. Put it in simple words this series of BB handsets is worth every rupee of what they cost.

I guess BB 8530 is even better because it has 3G EV-DO, while GSM version (8520) lacks 3G.

Trust Sadikk bhai to get you the latest and greatest at an excellent price. Of course you can forget BIS and BES. My son bought an Android HTC from him and is pleased no end.

The thing about 8520 and 8530 is that they are priced to be entry level handsets. One can even buy the original boxed pack handset by paying a bit more and be certain that BIS will work without any problem.

What is the use of a BB if one is using it without BIS or Blackberry email?

all bbs cdma or gsm are operator locked

all cdma bbs are non ruim based , no has to be injected ( programmed)

BBs are best for messaging /email /im and awesome call clearity

apart from that its s**ks on other fronts like multimedia / browsing /etc

without BIS its a simple phone , just for calls n sms and not much fun to use

In that case i think i will go for corby speed. In my view paying full price for a product and not being able to use it independently is not fair. On one hand rcom is promoting OMH in a big way and still they are selling locked products on the other hand that too premium products which i dont think are even 1% subsidized.
