1X And Evdo In Cdma Curve

I am using Tata CDMA Curve and enabled EVDO on this handset.Is there any option to select between 1x and EVDO manually using some hidden menu??

you dont need that

your voice is happening over 1x

and data occuring over evdo

in absence of evdo it will go to 1x for data

in case you are in area where evdo coverage is bad then only think about it

^^^^ I think to get EVDO u need to have BIS as already said By Dr. Mufaddal, my cousin having same handset with EVDO active also he is on 299/- BIS plan i think thats why EVDO is active and moreover with tweak to run browser i also applied on official BB8330 and browser started working :)

for EVDO on 8330 one has to be very persistent with reliance. First activate BIS plan 299 and threat them to disconnect if EVDO not activated. If not done, go to higher plan and same tactics again. If lucky they will activate. Also contacts can do magic. But afterall no guarantee in reliance

well people at reliance have now understood the vulnerability of giving evdo on 8330 and 8830

and now they have stopped giving it openly

they wont give u unless u have a corporate connection or u have contacts

for evdo they made it very very strict

only on newer bbs and omh

both of which are secured as of now

At the moment when a BB is doing data transfer (evdo,1X,bes,bis) do callers get a busy tone like in our other phones ?

Or is BES/BIS able to do voice/data simultaneously - either on 1x or evdo ?

Gurus, thanks for your info, what happens if my MDN is already activated for broadband and shifts the handset to blackberry. My query do i still need to talk to them for EVDO activation.
