hello friends

We (consumers) often complain of being supplied substandard goods and services. dont we have right to get full value of our money spent for the goods and services we want to avail of.

I am opening this topic to discuss how to fight (and get SADA HAQ) with these substandard goods and service providers.

let me start it with my problem.

I bought a sony LCD 26S550A in feb 2010.

In june 2011 it started showing a weird screen colours, what the service center guys called "Ghost screen".

ok, I paid for service charge and spare as it was out of warranty.

but again in sep 2011, it started showing same problem. Went to service center and told the guy abt it. had a small verbal fight with him regarding the same problem within 3-4 months. but I had to pay Again for service charge and spare.

Now again it sometime shows the same problem (not continuously).

what should I do if this problem occur continuously ?

do I have a strong case to drag them to consumer court ?

if yes, is it really feasible moneywise ?

please suggest.

Amit Bhai, I don't think that comsumer court could be helpful in this regard now. As your LCD is not covered under warranty now....Agar warranty mein hota toh aap company ki WAAT laga sakte thhe. :P

Once the warranty period is over then there are very less chances of winning the case in consumer court.....But you can still try your luck. :)

The person can fight for the quality of service being provided instead of warranty.

kamal ji,

out of warranty doesnt mean that I will pay them 800 rs. every 3-4 months.

if a product is showing the same problem again and again it means there is fault in manufacturing.

waiting for the tv to show this ghost screen permanently & I will go to court.

friends I need some email id of any senior person/official.

could nt find on website although I have sent a feedback through their website.
