srini 1 Report post Posted June 19, 2006 Reliance, Orbit Launch RiTV Techtree News Staff Jun 17, 2006 Reliance Communications, in association with Bahrain-based Orbit Communications Company (OCC), has announced the launch of "RiTV", an interactive television, broadband, and media solution. The latest Hotel Interactive system, enhancing the customer value proposition for the hospitality industry, was unveiled at The Hotel Show in Dubai. The easy-to-use, multimedia solution delivers on-demand entertainment, Internet access, and information services through an instinctive interface. The RiTV system, through an interface with a hotel's Property Management System, has the ability to extract data relating to customer behaviour and preferences. The business intelligence capabilities of the system would enable hotels to design customized services, thereby improving customer retention and loyalty, leading to increased room occupancy. Announcing the launch, Fadi Ghazzaoui, business development manager, OCC, said that RiTV is a powerful interactive guest room solution, offering high quality experience for guests. The system can be customized as per the need of hoteliers, and has capabilities to be scaled-up to meet the future needs of hotels and their guests. Adding to it, Gurjeet Sandhu, chief executive officer, RiTV, stated that the cutting edge guest room media solution offers new incremental revenue streams for hoteliers. RiTV would be demonstrated at three-day The Hotel Show being held at World Trade Centre, Dubai. Demonstration system is also available at Movenpick Hotel, Dubai.
