Hi Everybody, I was very reluctant to start this new thread as i see huge piles of information and users' experiences are available here. Still I would like to tell you all briefly about my experience with Nokia CC executive. I was looking to update my Nokia 6275 phone software, I needed to know "how can i?" after i exhausted every available option such as posts in forum visited NOkia Web Site, etc finally i contacted Nokia CC two times. Firstly I was told to download updated latest version of PC Suit through which i can update my phone software(firmware). I tried that but it didn't work. Today for the second time i contacted again and upon asking them clearearly that if there was any update for my Nokia?? i was put on hold for almost 4 to 5 mins and to my surprise NOkia CC executive told me honestly that they (Nokia CC guys) themselves doesn't know what is current version and if there was any new update released. How Ridiculous??? I questioned him why is it so? Answer is "Nokia stopped manufacturing this model" with this pathetic situation You will get to hear with iVRS upon connecting that Nokia recommends strongly to take short survey about customer's satisfaction moreover Nokia CC guys will also remind you to take Customer's satifaction survey at the end of the call. I thought Nokia Users Forum might of help and i posted there too; while browsing the forum i saw that there 1 and half to 2 yrs old topics lying unanswered with zero hits / zero replies. Thanks for taking the time to read

Really very nice, fantastic, mind-blowing offer, if it was introduced in 2006 But now, it is a nice joke.. Atleast they should have give the validity to the end of the year 2010 and 2010 more FREE Local/STD minutes to TataIndicom/Docomo/Virgin also... I wonder how many people will go for this offer For this value, BSNL offers HyperTalktime and 49p/min all India calls (for all@49 plan) including roaming... Long long ago, Once upon a time, Tata Indicom offered nice offers (FREE T2T, 1 year validity when Validity recharge of Rs250-Rs350 per month was mandatory)... Where those people have gone??? May be they have joined to RCom and so Tata hired people, who once worked for Airtel

Here is little more clarity on OMH. There are 2 entities which has to be complaint with OMH for to utilize the OMH advantage to the fullest. 1) OMH handset 2) OMH SIM Normally GSM's n/w settings are completely stored in SIM, so its very easy to switch between operators. In case of CDMA RUIM, part of the n/w settings are stored in RUIM and other part stored in Handset. Part which has information about the subscriber and the operator is stored in RUIM but the information about data exchange is stored in handset. This is the reason why Samsung used to say that their handsets can support R-World, TATA-Zone and V-bytes. Since they pre-program these data settings in their handsets. If you observe clearly some Samsung handsets although RUIM based will support either R-World or TATA-Zone but not both. All these handsets will not support MTS-World(if it exists) or BSNL-Zone(if it exists) In OMH SIM all the settings are moved to SIM similar to GSM. With OMH, Manufacturer need not worry about pre-configuring these data settings in their handsets. That is the reason why Samsung didn't speak about TATA-Zone or R-World in relation to Mpower 699. Simply put Mpower 699 can support any CDMA operator's data zone just by inserting respective operator's OMH SIM. These OMH handsets can work with even Airtel world(if Airtel starts CDMA operations) just by inserting Airtel's OMH SIM. To cut the long story short, RUIM only ensures the voice and SMS interoperability but OMH ensures interoperability even in data (including MMS). To ensure downward compatibility, all OMH handsets will work with normal RUIMs although for data usage you've to program the handset with particular operator's data settings. To ensure downward compatibility, all OMH SIMs will work with normal handsets although for data usage the data settings present in the handset will be taken against the one present in OMH SIM.
