Boot into bootloader mode and select BPTools, after phone boots, enable debugging 3. Map the comports correctly to QXDM 4. Airplane mode 5. In QXDM, open command prompt, type spc=000000 6. Open NV browser, look for item 441 and make it 0x383 or 0xFFF in band line, click write 7. Look further for NV item 946, write 0x0028 in band pref 8. Lastly item no 1877 and write 2622339 to rf_bc_config line 9. Reboot 10. Phone now boots in global mode, insert GSM SIM and use with EDGE data. CDMA section remains untouched. Part II:- 3G HSPA+ UMTS 2100 mhz unlock (part II only after getting Edge signal) 1. Select LTE from mobile networks settings. Remove SIM and switch off phone 2. Boot into bootloader mode and select BPTools, after phone boots, enable debugging 3. Map the comports correctly to QXDM 4. Airplane mode 5. In QXDM, open command prompt, type spc=000000 6. NV item 946, write 0x0EA8 in band pref 6. NV item 1877 and write 245891456 to rf_bc_config line 7. Full flash current firmware by fastboot with emphasis on fastboot erase modemst1, fastboot erase modemst2 8. Phone boots in global mode with HSPA+ Note:- Firmware flashing will remove unstable signal issue. All the changes will be permanent. CDMA/evdo remains as it was earlier.

This will bring GSM/UMTS selection option in mobile networks settings. Do not rename or delete any system files in Tribute 5. There are two variants of the same model in Verizon lineup. One is factory GSM unlocked and the other is NOT GSM unlocked. This method is based on the small box packing GSM/CDMA variant of Verizon. I seriously doubt on their intention to launch. Airtel has launched in 15 circles using same 2300 mhz spectrum. Infact reliance jio was the first company to start testing and adopt LTE. There were two options available wimax and LTE. Reliance jio opted for LTE. Started testing also. I think they would sell to an international telecom company like AT&T, America Movil or MTN. I guess they are taking clue from RGSM Launch. Whats the point of launching patchy network and ruining the brand name for once and all. Airtel use 2300 only for Data. Voice either switches back to 2g or 3g. it is difficult to get a pure VOLTE network. no other operator in the world gives that. I would rather wait for 6-9 more month to get a seamless VOLTE network on 2300/1800/850 Mhz instead of latching on it today

@nitink: If you don't give him the trouble buy the phone where CDMA specification are mentioned. RN3 India Version may support CDMA as per user reviews, but it is not official declaration. Now the choice is yours to buy which you may think.

on XT1528 i got the data like this. I put the phone bptools connected to pc enabled usb debugging on phone loaded moto diagnostic drivers in device manager for the last XT item of unknown devices. OPEND the DFS and selected the port, given sent spc gone to programming, ip section changed simple ip to pref mobile ip total profiles one and active profile one. reset the phone and restarted the phone. entered apn manually and saved that's all, phone works with RGE sim data also APN parameters name = any apn=net username=net password=net mcc is 404 and mNc is 00
