  1. That happens many times. I started raising complain on twitter. They will respond there. I had the same problem and complain was closed without any feedback. I again raised the issue and got a call. The problem was solved within a month as site required an upgrade.
  2. Which shop you are talking about? because reliance Digital stores and express stores say they don't have bar codes.
  3. I go my wife RGSM to Jio without any issue. Executive at Jio stored asked me to be specific about LTE and regular SIM. I showed him the SIM and chose accordingly. Even one of my colleagues also ported from Reliance (not sure was LTE) to Jio without any issue.

    ^^^ Vodafone offer is for prepaid users only and it says for first time activation. I don't know whether it means new customers only. Nobody from AVOID has announced any plans for post paid customers as of now.

    I think ₹ 149/- & ₹ 303/- would be sufficient for the most users. However quality of service is more important than anything else.

    Jio is working on it since long. I heard from many that Jio is working on All-in-One device for STB, internet/wifi router and DVR.

    I wasn't aware of all these details about Jio carrying so much traffic. Also it is clear that AVoId is mischievous by not providing required connectivity. TRAI has suggested whopping fine of ₹ 3,050 crores on these telcos as per TOI. TRAI is also in favor of Jio plan of free calling for life time.

    I am saying this since long. Either their network is not capable or they are testing it to see how far they can push. Since it is free service, nobody is complaining. For 3 days, I was in Ahmedabad and surrounidng towns. The speed issue is same. The calling was better compare to Mumbai. But other issue I faced for no connection on highway and also frequent loss of signals. I had to either enable/disable Airplane mode or restart.

    True. experienced this yesterday at Reliance Digital express. I had generated code on Friday and tried to use it only to be told that already used by someone else. The store had many such complain and executive asked me to write down my details on piece of papers where others have also mention the same. He told me to wait for 4-5 days it will be cleared. @LTE4GI don't think 2 crore subscribers, across the country is huge base. If their network gets chocked up with such user base then there is really issue with network.

    Today complain about the speed on twitter and got the call asking the details. Executive assured me that they will look into the the matter. According to him, there shouldn't have been any problems. FYI, now Jio SIM cards are easily available on black market for about Rs. 200-300, in South Mumbai.

  14. @KanagaDeepanare calls and SMS going through? In Mumbai, I have given up calling and messages. I used for data only and even speed of data is now very low compare to what it was earlier.

    Can't connect to Jio network since morning. I am in Khetwadi Area of South Mumbai and don't know what is the problem. I tried calling CC, but no answer.
  16. @vabs Yes there is serious issue with Jio network. I've mentioned in other threads that SMSs and calls are not going through easily. Even data speed has reduced a lot. Last night, I tried Jio TV and the connection was pathetic. Earlier it was very smooth as if watching recorded video but now it keeps on buffering. From various reports, I think they do not have proper system in place. Other reason could be they want competition to spend more on spectrum in up coming auction.

  18. @sanjay0501 I know there are lot of pending activation and also they are not giving new SIM. Somebody sent me a video where a store gave SIM once the executive realised that it was being recorded otherwise you need to get a token and then you get SIM.
  19. For MNP or new connection, there should be SIM. The most stores across South Mumbai (SoBo), don't have SIM and they provide token.

  21. I just got curious .. Since it is IP Telephony based, will data balance will be used for even voice call? For preview offer SIM, there are different balances for voice and data. But then you never know

  23. ^^^ I doubt about ₹ 299 as validity is only 21 days. This is different as the most packs is valid for 28 days. However, I don't see the monthly outgoing will reduce that much. Currently you pay about 400-500 (general public not high voice users) for voice and ~1GB data. I feel ₹ 499 is the most viable option. For 299, you pay 897 for 2 months and with 499 you will pay 998 with double the data. So as I said, monthly out going will be almost same as now. 149 is the best for limited data users. EDIT: After posting the message, I got below forward on WhatsApp and it is pretty much the same that I mentioned.

    Yesterday tried to get one SIM for wife. But couldn't get it. In fact, they have started token system that is distributed every Wednesday.
  25. There should have been some plan for 1GB or 2Gb. 300MB and then directly 4GB, nothing in between. But if you calculate for voice & data from other cos then its almost same but less data.
