  1. Will Reliance shut down CDMA voice services?

I don't hope so, the present cdma base is there niche market, when they try to move them in gsm, most probably they will lose customer as the competition in gsm is more. They are still offering good voice based plan, like unlimited onnet , in contrary they are not offering attractive voice based plan Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk
  2. This is wonderful plan for prepaid considering that we are paying 60 paisa per minute. This was the need of the hour. Thanks Amit ji for information of this plan.
  3. I have tried by installing updates from Market, the video quality is superb and like PC. Far better than g talk video quality what we get in ginger bred leak for Samsung Epic. Best thing is it is official release and root is not necessary.. For more info-- We promised to add support for additional handsets when we launched our new Skype for Android app with video a couple of weeks ago. Today we are pleased to announce that with the release of Skype 2.1 for Android, we are rolling out video support for an additional 17 of the most popular Android devices. Download the updated Skype for Android app from the Android Market or Skype.com/m using your Android phone's browser or just scan the QR code below. The list of Android devices we've added Skype video support for include:http://blogs.skype.com/en/2011/08/skype_21_for_android.html

  6. Dial With Prefix +91 issue with Palm Pixi

I don't have any problem in sending sms to +91 numbers. You can try Call Settings, International Dialing and replace it with 00. It may work as it is working in my epic.
  7. If rcom wants to reverse the trend they have to introduce all north American cdma handsets at attractive price. Most of customer does not have knowledge on imported handsets. The data plan of cdma should be at par with gsm counterpart. Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk
  8. reliance should come with 200 plans with 2 GB or 1 GB data limit...it will atrract huge customer base.

  11. Sprint Samsung Epic 4G - The Beast Is Here!

Samsung Epic 4G Be Receiving Gingerbread This Month? Read more: Could the Samsung Epic 4G Be Receiving Gingerbread This Month? - on Drippler Samsung Epic Updates http://drippler.com/samsung-epic-4g/could-the-samsung-epic-4g-be-receiving-gingerbread-this-month/#ixzz1RtMmNFTn Drippler - Get in sync with your gadgets Still more rumors hitting the net regarding the perpetually impending Android 2.3 Gingerbread update for Sprint’s Samsung Epic 4G. An apparent leak picked up by Sprintfeed has set the date of the update for some time this month. Pretty exciting news- if it’s true. According to SprintFeed’s sources, the Gingerbread update will be rolling out to Sprint users by July 24 at the earliest. Again, this is something we need to take with a grain of salt- SprintFeed hasn’t been the most reliable news site as of late. A lot of their recent leaks and rumors have ended up falling flat, meaning either one of their sources is inaccurate, or they’re performing a lot of creative extrapolation and fabrication. Not sure which, but either way, be cautious about believing this one. The Gingerbread release for the Epic 4G has been rife with delays, and this isn’t the first leak we’ve seen for the Samsung Epic 4G. In June, there was an apparent Gingerbread build leak; which was later discounted as not even being the right build for the Epic. No one’s really sure why the release has been delayed for so long, but the website Techwiz believes it to be a result of lengthy preparations in getting the release ready for the public. The update had best arrive soon-with the Samsung Epic 2 said to be coming in just a few months’ time; the Epic’s days are most assuredly numbered. 12. Sprint Samsung Epic 4G - The Beast Is Here!

I have also have experienced deterioration in signal bar when data connected on epic, but the speed of EVDO is not affected due to signal bar fluctuation. I am getting speed of around 120-150 KBps
  13. Official Offline Google Map

“Download map area” added to Labs in Google Maps for Android 7/07/2011 06:00:00 AM (Cross-posted from the Mobile and Lat Long Blogs) One way we bring you new product features is through Google Labs—a collection of fun, experimental features you can turn on if you’re interested in the functionality. In fact, Google Maps itself started as a lab. In addition to our desktop Maps Labs, Google Maps for Android has a few tricks you can try out right from your phone. We’d like to introduce you to one new experimental feature, “Download map area," but also remind you of two other ones we already have: “Scale bar” and “Measure.” Download map area When you’re visiting an unfamiliar location, Google Maps for mobile is great for getting an idea of how close you are to your destination, where streets and landmarks are in relation to each other, or just for getting “un-lost.” But what if you don’t have a data signal, or you’re abroad and don’t have a data plan? We say that if you use Google Maps for mobile, you’ll never need to carry a paper map again. The “Download map area” lab in Google Maps 5.7 for Android is a step in making that statement true even when you’re offline. Let’s say later you’re visiting Bordeaux during a trip to France. If you were to open Google Maps for mobile and zoom into Bordeaux without data coverage or wifi, you’d see the image on the left: For more http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2011/07/download-map-area-added-to-labs-in.html

Hi, the services are launched commercially, I am using it. Tariff is some what costly as I use mobile internet only for time pass as have broadband connection also. The services are okay, the web browsing not that much fast in comparison to broadband, but you tube vedios comes without any buffering.....

  24. Reliance HSD / EVDO / Netconnect Broadband+ coverage update

It is amazing to see that bigger cities of UTTAR PRADESH namely Allahabad, Varanasi etc doesn't have EVDO coverage while small towns like Azamgarh, Akbarpur etc got. Hope they will cover big cities very soon, or there is other logic.
  25. Superiority of CDMA over GSM

I think CDMA is less secure as it is very easy to make clone phones on CDMA in comparison to GSM.
