i would say 1-10 Windows. Unfortunately, we are stuck with it. Also, they charge your for the bug fixes calling them upgrades!

You can get many models of Samsung/ htc from our friends here. Also, look at the Samsung Galaxy Pop CDMA wich is under 10k and is an OMH handset.

As the OMH is not populr in the US (the main CDMA world!) I am afraid insistence on OMH reduces your choice dramatically. Else convince him to give up his obsession with UIM and go for a programmed handset from any of the friends on rimweb.

I have also downloaded 1.6 as an apk and will try it out. As reported by mt it was 22+ Mbps on wireless (IITK network) with the 4G and 8 Mbps on the Samsung Galaxy 551.

Given that CDMA service is probably the best, and the vendor handsets the worst. I wonder how the scenario will change if OMH based handsets become the rule. Already Samsung Galaxy Pop is there in the OMH universe.

Good post Rajan. Let me add a few points - I am all for the LED technology, since it saves quite a bit of power. Even the screen does not get as hot. In this regard the full matrix ones may be even better. White LEDs are deficient in certain colours, so the colour rendering may not be that good. You are creating a white back lighting and then blocking out some light to deliver the image. I have a somewhat old (1996) 32" LCD TV, and new LED laptop (you will never get 8+ hours otherwise).

I could not understand Arnab Goswami repeating time and again about voice samples. Nobody is questioning that the voice is not of Mr Shanti Bhushan. The issue is one of splicing together bits from multiple recordings. Also, if the bits are identical from some other recording, then the rest is academic. Not physically possible to make two identical statements with the same voice print. I wonder whether even Lata Mangeskar can do it. The crooks are obvious. Also, I think it is pretty obvious who is the Big Industrial house.Incidentally, if they are the ones I am thinking about, and have done it then all I can say is that it a pretty shabby splicing job.
