  1. OMG... Using RGSM 2G is more dangerous to RJio than having NO 2G network for fallback, imho...
  2. Reliance Jio launched on September 5

That means they have started throttling the unlimited data users (after 4GB usage), which is NOT done for earlier JPO users. So the real unlimited free data without FUP has come to an end.. But the good thing is, we will get more great and consistent speeds in coming days, even if more and more number of new users gets added continuously each day...
  3. Idea is good, but only problem is not everyone has 4g handset [am not even talking about volte here] and jio gives sim for one 4g handset's primary IMEI. Not everyone will rush to buy a new / old volte phone for the free calls [data is different] sent from my Lenovo vibe P1 using Tapatalk
  4. Reliance Jio launched on September 5

No. If volte is not present in that 4g phone, then only jio join is the way to make a call in jio network. In 3g, when call arrives, the data/internet will not stop. Data and call both work simultaneously in 3g as well as in volte. sent from my Lenovo vibe P1 using Tapatalk
  5. Reliance 4G Data Pack Offers

The infrastructure was build mostly during Mukesh period. What is the use of being loyal, if ChoRCom has this attitude. That choosing the otherwise [from your own words] is called as suicide mode... sent from my Lenovo vibe P1 using Tapatalk
  6. Reliance 4G Data Pack Offers

It's actually your fault for still having faith in ChoRCom. They are in suicide mode from April onwards and they will kill others who believe them too. So close the connection if it's postpaid. Sell the useless wipod on olx for throwaway price and get new data connection, preferably jio with welcome offer... The reason why I say rjio is preferred is, it will work in all places where ChoRCom 4g works for sure.. sent from my Lenovo vibe P1 using Tapatalk
  7. A better question will be, any calls from Jio to AVoId going through in first attempt (even though AVoId is the culprit)??? The answers for both the questions will be same...
  8. Reliance Jio launched on September 5

People were expecting Data revolution.. But all we got is Voice-call revolution, which is NOT the need of the hour for most people, imho..
  9. Reliance Jio launched on September 5

Actually we both are wrong wrt overages... @bigbyte is correct (as below).. For 4G data, the charges after allowed usage is 0.25p / 10KB == 25p / MB == 256Rs per GB.. That 5p / MB is applicable for the WiFi data overages -->> 0.05p / 10KB == 5p / MB == 51Rs per GB.. At least till Dec2016, every one must go for Jio or at least act like going to Jio, as its a great single life time opportunity.. For example, I can't move all of my corporate connections (incl my primary number) to Jio for various reasons.. But I will definitely scare the sh!t out of Airtel using MNP to get better tariff plans.. These AVoId guys without playing fair till now by forming a cartel, deserve these beatings.. Its pay-back time, my dear Airtel..
  10. JIO SIM without LYF handset

No confusion. Jio join needs your phone [whether 2g or 3g or 4g phone] connected to jio network. So a phone connected to jio network via jioFi [using Wi-Fi tech] qualifies as well. Similarly for jio sim in 4g non volte phone. Yes. This is a much more important issue. Not everyone jumps to buy volte phone. For example in my family everyone has 4g phone, but none of them is volte capable. So jio must concentrate on launching good quality LYF phones with great battery life. These LYF phones never last long and so the name LYF is not at all suitable for them, imho. According to me $EX would have been a better brand name for those short lived phones. So I recommend the following names for their phone series.. LYF == $EX Flame == Hand [better than Nothing] Wind == 0ral [now we are talking -- may be not] Water == $traight [upTo the point] Earth == 3sum [more features and price] sent from my Lenovo vibe P1 using Tapatalk
  11. JIO SIM without LYF handset

Exactly... Jio Join can never be used for primary calling purposes in most phones (even with 2GB RAM).. The only phone I have tried with decent Jio-Join experience was OnePlus2.. Even my Vibe P1 struggled a lot.. One more thing, enable GPS to get decent call experience using Jio-Join.. A weird fact, from my experiments..
  12. Reliance Jio launched on September 5

TRAI is now issuing the consultation papers for changing the IUC from (current) 14 p to "BILL AND KEEP" system or simply 0p.. COAI is opposing it. Actually just few months back TRAI has reduced the IUC from (previous) 20p to (current) 14p --->> for that also AVoId group has already filed a case against the 6p reduction. So ZERO p IUC implementation is not going to be a simple task. But Jio banks on the fact that IUC may become zero within Dec2016. Even if IUC is reduced to 5p from current 14p, the 149Rs plan allows 2980 calls + number of incoming calls from offline numbers.. So NOT a big deal, imho... The overages charge is 0.5p / 10KB == 50p/MB approx. == 512Rs/GB.. Sorry, my mistake.. Overage charges for data pack is 0.25p / 10KB == 25p / MB == 256Rs / GB Overage charges for WiFi data is 0.05p / 10KB == 5p / MB == 51Rs / GB To be honest, both the NIGHT UNLIMITED and WiFi data are just for the name sake for vast number of people... On a lighter note, While Airtel's Night cheaper data (timing from 12 to 6AM) is for watchmen, JIO's night unlimited (2 to 5 AM) is for thieves.
  13. JIO SIM without LYF handset

After Sep 05, all JPO customers will be migrated to Welcome offer automatically... Yes after Sep 05...
  14. Reliance Jio launched on September 5

I think, Volte calls will not be using the data balance.... You can even use volte calls when data switched off. Volte calls are not metered by even Android system afaik... sent from my Lenovo vibe P1 using Tapatalk
  15. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

Port out to jio... sent from my Lenovo vibe P1 using Tapatalk
  16. JIO SIM without LYF handset

Not necessary, afaik. If you are using Jio sim on non volte 4g phone, use can use jio join app to make calls using the jio 4g data on the phone. sent from my Lenovo vibe P1 using Tapatalk
  17. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

DO NOT worry about tariff plans till Dec2016.. These tariffs are for TRAI & competitors' eyes. More useful plans will come during the real commercial launch on 1-Jan-2017 or end of Dec2016 ...
  18. JIO SIM without LYF handset

You will get the free validity extended... sent from my Lenovo vibe P1 using Tapatalk
  19. But with 3 months jpo , Rs1500 difference is not a big amount. That unlimited 4g is surely much worth than Rs500 per month. sent from my Lenovo vibe P1 using Tapatalk
  20. No issues. You need not do anything. You can continue to use unlimited data/calls till their commercial launch. That's just a formal message. sent from my Lenovo vibe P1 using Tapatalk
  21. Yes, theoretically it will not increase the in building coverage. But practically in building coverage issue can be sorted out by VoWiFi and / or jio join, using the wifi from the connected router. sent from my Lenovo vibe P1 using Tapatalk
  22. JIO SIM without LYF handset

That's due to very small amount of poi given by avoid group. It's a deliberate and desperate move by avoid group to give bad impression about jio services. sent from my Lenovo vibe P1 using Tapatalk
  23. Reliance 4G Data Pack Offers

The weed they were smoking was very powerful one...
  24. JIO SIM without LYF handset

That's mainly to avoid misuse, afaik. Suppose you have a Samsung phone, eligible for jpo. Before you going to dx mini, suppose your friend got the code and get sim with jpo without showing the phone [with or without you knowing]. A day later, you the original owner of phone will go and show the code with the phone and ask for sim. But database refuses activation saying code already used. Then who will be blamed? To avoid those confusions / circumstances they will ask for the phone which generated the code. sent from my Lenovo vibe P1 using Tapatalk
  25. JIO SIM without LYF handset

The important point to note here is that most of the phones in the list doesn't support VoLTE. Earlier Samsung and LG (obviously LYF as well) phones mostly with VoLTE support are given JPO. But after this Asus offer, I expect them to give JPO gradually to all 4G phones (even without VoLTE) officially. Motorola, Lenovo and Xiaomi phone users are not allowed till now as mostly those phones are purchased online and those customers know well about JPO and hence there will be a heavy rush to the store once announced for them. Say if for the number of Samsung phones, the number of JPO claimed is less than 50% (yes, I have myself informed 5 of my relatives to use the JPO, about which they have NO idea till I inform them), then for Moto / Lenovo / Xiaomi it will be more than 90% for sure. Giving JPO to all 4G phones is the sure shot way to beat the team AVoId, where it hurts them the most...
