  1. At the same time I find bookmywish.com is really good, got some belts @Rs90 !! they ship it via DTDC and delivery happens within 5 days.
  2. Pepperfry s**ks! Never buy anything from them if the product is low cost or you put a coupon. - They will simply cancel your order. In my case, after the payment they sent me a mail saying shipping in 3 days. and note that '3' is in large font. But no update from them since. After 9 days they sent a mail to say order cancelled! Refund was done 2 days, and they also shared a coupon for discount of Rs 200. So I tried to buy another low cost watch to gift from them using that coupon. It is more than 7 days, still no update.
  3. Are you sure? after all Rcom is popular to break the promises!

  7. Discounts & Deals For Non Electronics/Gadget Stuff

Regarding pepperfry, I order some stuffs on March 14th, and they sent email with order confirmation saying it will be shipped in 3 (in large font) days. It is 22nd and still they did not ship. I asked their online agent regarding my order, they said there are some warehouse problem and so it is delayed. But they do not send any mail regarding this delayed shipping.
  8. Best Courier Services in India?

On Bluedart it is showing what does it mean ? does it reach city X to city Y or it is still on the roads ?
  9. Best Courier Services in India?

Trackon s**ks http://trackoncourier.com/ the local guy is a liar and they don't take responsibility. They say item has not been received, while online it is showing that they received it.
  10. When the new telecom policy will come, it will favor MVNO, in that way RIL can be a MVNO 2G operator on Rcom's network... and if call termination charge is withdrawn voice call rate will jump down to a new level... and for all these there will be only one gainer - RIL.
  11. as you are using or going to use R-CDMA Droid 1/2 will be best option as MEID registration can be done easily for R-CDMA.
  12. No one is de-honoring SRT. But fact is after a year 100th century came, and that's against Bangladesh !!! It is sad and not a matter of pride!
  13. Salute to Bangladesh as they allowed him to make a century and then won the match themselves !!
  14. thanks a lot for sharing this information !!!
  15. If this is a OMH device it is a good deal, but i do not think it is a unlocked tablet. But if they sell it as unlocked tablet, like rcom sold 3g data cards unlocked it would be best!
  16. I have a tight budget of 7K which can be extended upto 8K and looking for a smartphone running Android. I pointed out some handsets but I am completely confused to choose one... 1. Micromax A73 - dual sim, 650processor, front cam, Android 2.3 - Did anyone tried this ? 2. Spice Mi-350n - dual sim, 650 processor, front came, android 2.3, GPU 3. Samsung Galaxy Y - 832 processor, Androi 2.3, brand value 4. ZTE Blade (Idea) - official support frm CyanogenMod Please help me to choose a good device.
  17. ^^ Kapil That is really good offer! Is this - http://www.gsmarena.com/motorola_droid_2_global-3636.php but I am using MTS, and no one ever dared to offer MTS MEID registration. I will call someone on MTS tomorrow and let you know if they can do it! Because in Kolkata MTS EVDO plans are unbeatable and CDMA would be my first choice. It would be best if you can unlock GSM part.
  18. Recently I was going through the LTE deployments over the globe, and I found that a good number of LTE deployments are on 2.6GHz band. Compare this to Indian scenario - Pvt. players got spectrum on 2.3 GHz band and BSNL is shouting they are given spectrum on non-standardized 2600 MHz band. Compared to global scenario is it not the fact that pvt. players got non-standardized band while BSNL got standardized band if we think about roaming like conventional GSM spectrum is 900/1800MHz which enables global roaming in most of the countries? Secondly in US Verizon is offering LTE on 700 MHz band while Teliasonera in Scandinavia offers LTE on 2.6GHz band. So if we import a Verizon LTE smartphone it will not work with Indian LTE operators, not only for mismatch of frequency band but also for LTE technological differences. [in US Verizon launched LTE-FDD while Indian players are keen to go ahead with TD-LTE]. In Germany Vodafone is to launch LTE on 800 MHz band - So CDMA players in India can offer LTE on their existing spectrum, right ? At the same time some operators also plan to launch LTE on 1800 MHz band - So GSM players with much spectrum on 1800 MHz can roll out LTE on their existing spectrum, right ? Both are possible because LTE is compatible with many bands unlike GSM,W-CDMA & CDMA ranging from 700 t0 3500 MHz. We also do not know Indian LTE players will offer LTE on dongles via SIM (llike GSM) or no-SIM (like CDMA-EVDO dongles). So better we do not bring LTE devices from other countries to use it in India. I like to have some expert comments from RIMweb Gurus to clear my confusions!
  19. 4G - LTE in India - Some Confusions

Economics times ..... http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/news-by-industry/telecom/bharti-airtel-may-kick-start-4g-services-from-kolkata-on-march-20/articleshow/12203993.cms It says: I do not know the status of Zoosh Broadband - anyone from Madhya Pradesh?
  20. 4G - LTE in India - Some Confusions

Interestingly Kolkata was the first city to get mobile services! It would be great if Airtel starts offering 4G from Kolkata. But I think it might be just another announcement regarding vendor selection like they did for Maharastra. In Kolkata the LTE vendor for Airtel is rumored to be ZTE,
  21. 4G - LTE in India - Some Confusions

Actually I am asking that: is not 2.3GHz band a new band for LTE rollout as it is given to private operators of India? As still no operators worldwide did not roll out LTE on this 2.3GHz band we can not use imported LTE smartphone with Indian operators? I think it would better 2.3GHz band LTE deployment in urban areas where data demand is high, and 700 MHz is for rural connectivity due to this band's ability to offer 3 times more coverage.
  22. looking for cheapest deal on Samsung Galaxy Y... Used - no problem.. I also find that Wave Y is slightly cheaper than SGY. But can anyone confirm badaOS app list includes Sound Hound or not ? http://kolkata.olx.in/samsung-wave-y-one-month-used-condition-iid-316681070 >>@mod if you find this offtopic, plz PM me where to post this<<
  23. 4G Spectrum Auction

If you see Airtel is like to participate in upcoming 4G auction and they are very eager to get pan India 4G spectrum to compete with RIL Infotel. 3G is a failure, mostly due to costly data tariffs. But I do not think 4G at this stage can be offered on a phone, 4G services will be mostly on dongles and tablets with inbuilt support of LTE.
  24. ^^^ The price cut is done for all circles, letsbuy is also selling at that price !
