  1. Its nowhere. You can only see in Rcom website's 4G page under Mumbai circle's Prepaid Voice >> Minute Packs. Check the post below for details: http://www.rimweb.in/forums/topic/37711-reliance-cdma-network-upgrade-to-4g-lte/?do=findComment&comment=329885 You can recharge using FreeCharge, PayTM etc.
  2. Smartphones that will work on Reliance 4G

Yes they are both perfect Redmi Note 3 comes with VoLTE whereas LeEco L2 promised that VoLTE feature will be provided through OTA.
  3. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

"₹20,000/- just for SIgnal boost !! If you were previously getting good CDMA signal strengh I would suggest to wait for 4G signal, which will be as strong as CDMA was. Further you can opt for RJio connection ( LYF flame for ₹2999.00 offer!! ) because it is 4G and you will not be depending on 2G signal for voice unlike Rcom since it uses VoLTE and will be using Reliance shared 850 MHz band (Same band was CDMA). Forget about 2G - think of VoLTE (Jio). Coverage will be same as CDMA but voice quality will be better than CDMA. Compare all options thoroughly before deciding.
  4. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

I noticed that 4G access or 4G data started automatically in postpaid connections (Mobile as well as Data cards) - because Reliance can RIP them with unjust monthly plans for next 90 days. Prepaid users faced 4G connectivity issue as well as no 4G data without 4G recharge - because Reliance cannot RIP them unless they recharge and continue. I am having prepaid connections and have received several courtesy calls from Reliance as why am I not making any recharge - am I facing any problem or not ? etc. In reply I told them that Vodafone is giving me 1GB 4G data/28days for ₹147.00 only (using since May June onward) so why should I buy 1GB for ₹297.00. They are not even able to tell me which Operator should I select Reliance CDMA or GSM while recharging - instead insisted me to use MyServices to recharge at the moment. The Torture we (CDMA users) had been since last three months Reliance should have given some incentive/concession for a few months at least. Since last three months I think some of the prepaid users like me are using other/alternate operators (Airtel, Vodafone etc,) to meet their requirements and Reliance is loosing revenue. If Reliance does not take things seriously they will not only loose revenue but also loose customers too. Let's see what happens after 16th August - still some days.
  5. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

Data will work even if it shows no balance. Try *111*1*3# or send SMS MBAL to 55333 to check Net Balance even if it is now shown in InstaCare App.
  6. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

It will only work on 2G.
  7. Smartphones that will work on Reliance 4G

Before buying any 4G (LTE) Smartphone please Check for at least Band 3, 5, 40 which is essential bands operating in India. Further look for VoLTE also since all 4G operators will try to use this technology in the coming years so as to get rid of extra licensing burden for 2G and 3G spectrum and may totally stop those services in future if not in all but few circles for cost reduction.
  8. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

Please note that VoLTE is a new futuristic technology for better voice and video calls. My brother is using Jio and believe me voice is crystal clear and he is making smooth video calls too. Once VoLTE becomes popular old protocols CS (circuit switching) used for 2G and 3G will not sustain. Technology is improving by leaps and bounds. Everyone wants to board onto better technology. Reason We switched from Dial-up Modem network 56Kbps to 128Kbps Leased lines to 256Kbps broadband etc. and in cellular from GPRS to EDGE to 3G to HSDPA to HSDPA+ to LTE etc. and in CDMA 1x to EVDO rev.A to EVDO rev.B etc. If you remember that in old times carbon transducers (Mic) were used in landline telephony with analog DC circuit which changed to digital for better voice quality. So the GAME is ON - who ever is clever in presenting Better Technology, Reliable Service as well as Moderate/Economical Pricing will be the ruler in telecom sector in India.
  9. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

SMS has nothing to do with the validity - All prepaid users in Mumbai have 8-8-16 as expiry date whether they sent SMS or not. SMS was ONLY required for some users who were not able to access data services. As per TRAI all Data services are switched OFF by default and one can START or STOP data services by sending SMS to 1925 (Universal to all operators - MTNL, Vodafone, Reliance etc.). So those users who were not using DATA in CDMA mode had to send SMS to invoke Data services - whereas users who were already using DATA were able to access Data without sending SMS. I was able to use data 1GB wihtout sending SMS and after consuming 1GB, data stopped - but restarted once I sent SMS to 1925. Check my post for details regarding irrelevance to SMSdate expiry is 8-8-16 : http://www.rimweb.in/forums/topic/37711-reliance-cdma-network-upgrade-to-4g-lte/?do=findComment&comment=330175
  10. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

Balance 9GB data gets activated aftet sending sms to 1925 - but the validity remains same irrespective of date of activation. I have 2 connections and I activated one on 7-7-16 and another on 16-7-16 but the expiry date is 8-8-16 for both of them. Expiry date of all Mumbai prepaid users is 8-8-16 AFAIK. Further some people received 2G and some 3G data balance and this cannot be utilised through 4G usage viz. can be used against 2G or 3G only. You will have to buy extra 4G pack separately if you want to connect in 4G mode. I noticed that you get 2G or 3G data depending upon the handset you are using for 4G SIM activation. I got 3G and although I can latch to 4G and mobile data network state shows connected too but data doesn't work in 4G mode and got confirmed from CC that I need to buy 4G pack to be able to use 4G data. check this: http://www.rimweb.in/forums/topic/37711-reliance-cdma-network-upgrade-to-4g-lte/?do=findComment&comment=330123
  11. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

I asked the same question to CC and he said core balance will work with 3G Data ONLY. Reliance is forcing users to recharge in order to enjoy 4G data benefits. He further said that 3G data balance and 4G data balance can work side by side - depends on the mode we use to connect H+ or LTE. So if we use H+ mode the data will be deducted from 3G balance and if we use LTE mode it wiill be deducted from 4G balance. Don't know how correct is it unless I check myself. My Vodafone 3G/4G Data balance works in either mode with common balance, means it can be used with any mode. Why Reliance is treating 3G/4G separately especially for Upgraded customers since no 3G pack is listed for Reliance 4G users?
  12. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

I think to improve services Reliance should consider VoLTE option for voice as LTE signal strength is very GOOD - just like CDMA
  13. I partially agree with you as far as APN is concerned - VoLTE is not internet data but uses same protocol PS (Packet Switched) which is used for Data services to connect to internet. VoLTE calls are not initiated through internet like Skype (IP based) etc. although they use same protocol. I want to only clarify that it will not get added to our net usage which is for internet as some are thinking it as data consumption..
  14. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

LTE data is not working for prepaid users - not for me too. Reliance cc told that it will only work if you recharge with any 4G pack.
  15. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

I can latch to 4G and Data shows connected but no internet & during incoming or outgoing calls switches automatically to 3G and then back to 4G (LTE). I have to switch to 3G/H+ mode to use data - Speed in 3G is fine though 1.1- 2.8 Mbps during day and 2.4 - 3.8 Mbps during night. Mira - Bhayandar Area. 4G Signal is very strong even indoors - Full Bars.
  16. voLTE is basically voice over LTE network and is not internet data. If your Data is off still you can make voLTE calls as it will use LTE network. LTE network is different compared to 2G / 3G which had 2 separate networks called CS (Circuit Switched) used for voice and PS (Packet Switched) for data. But LTE is Data Only network so normal CS method doesn't work here and voice is carried in form of data over LTE network (PS Switched). So making voLTE calls does not require Internet which is IP based but uses LTE network though the format is PS (Packet switched). So it does not consume your Data/Net balance.
  17. You can recharge with ₹97 in Mumbai circle using RGSM as operator. Check My post here for details of the Pack. It will give you "150 Minutes for Local & STD calls+1GB 3G/2G+43200 Minutes of Local & STD onnet Calls+10GB 4G data for 30 days" .
  18. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

I also got 9216.00MB but it is 3G. Seems later they will deduct my 3G usage which was available since 7-7-2016. No 4G data. Seems Mukesh refused free data for Anil's clients so he his giving 2G or 3G instead. Though latching to LTE but no data flow. Data working on 2G & 3G (H+) only.
  19. Reliance CDMA Shutting down

₹97 recharge value is only listed under Mumbai circle. So it will not work in any other circle. In Mumbai they have stiff competition with Vodafone, Airtel and also Jio - and seems they want to retain their CDMA Prepaid customers.
  20. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

Yes I have tested in Mobile Handset - it works. It also works in H+ mode. Its also mentioned on the Reliance website's FAQs clearly. Your device should support Band 3/5/40. If you have old lot SIM then you require SIM upgrade software patch from the nearest Reliance store.
  21. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

What operator did you use Reliance CDMA or Reliance GSM ? I recharge through net banking so I need to select correct operator.
  22. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

Yes ! I also received the same message. Unfortunately, though LTE signal strength is very good but data services are still not working (though Data gets connected) for me. I have to change to WCDMA to use data in H+ mode only.
  23. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

Yes ! its there on rcom.co.in - 4G page. Reason why I asked - "Should I wait for 10GB 4G data credit OR Try this ₹97 recharge instead." Seems it will be there ONLY till commercial launch of rcom 4G.
  24. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

I just checked its only in Mumbai circle and under Prepaid voice >> Minutes Packs >> Local ₹148 > Local ₹399 > All calls ₹97 ... Coming soon.. is under Postpaid Voice sub menus only. Try force refresh webpage or clear cache - it should show since day before yesterday it was comjng soon for me also but now Prepaid is full of plans under all sub menus.
  25. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

I have been closely observing this forum since last few months regularly and finally decided to join to share my experience of "A journey from CDMA to LTE". I am using RIM CDMA right from 2003 (Dhirubhai Ambani Offer). I had two Mobile (Prepaid) and one Netconnect+ Data Card (Prepaid) connection and was quite happy because of good connectivity, decent speed and coverage while roaming - till I came to know that reliance is UPGRADING CDMA/EVDO to 4G. Reliance started informing me through SMS regarding all the development and finally on 11th & 12th May I was asked to collect my SIM from the Reliance Web World. On 12th May I went and collected two SIMs one for Mobile and one for Data Card for FREE - Recharged my prepaid mobile with ₹97 (LTEMIG) and got Pre Migration benefit of 150 mins. Promo Talktime + R2R free + 1GB data for 30 days along with Post migration benefit too. Registered my SIM through 1299. I had 50p/min Lifetime plan which changed to 2p/sec valid for 180 days (So let's hope my base plan may revive after 180 days) Two days later I went and collected another SIM for my other Mobile too but had to Recharge with ₹1 Only and NO Pre-Migration benefit - (Only Post Migration benefit of 150 mins. Promo Talktime + R2R free + 1GB 2G/3G Data + 10GB 4G DATA for 30 days) Later registered my data card SIM online when it stopped working. (Didn't buy Wi-pod) On 24th May received SMS that please insert your New 4G SIM when there is no network on both mobiles. My both mobiles became inactive and I was much worried since the New SIM also didn't work. When I dialed my numbers from another mobile it said "please check the number..". At Last finally my numbers became active after 6 hours and 8 hours respectively. Core balance was carried forward & also enjoyed Post Migration benefit of 150 mins. Promo Talktime + R2R free + 1GB 2G/3G Data for 30 days on both prepaid mobiles. But after 3-4 days I was shocked as one of my SIM stopped registering on Reliance network and became in-active but again resumed after approx. 4-5 Hours by itself. Didn't face any other CLI or SMS sending problem only USSD kept on giving weird results. If you activate international roaming by mistake SIM will fail to register even on Reliance 2G/3G network too. My SIM's were from 4/16 lot but never had any problem with data. Though it showed "you don't have any data balance" I could use data in 3G mode. After consuming 1GB - Data stopped in one of my mobile which had 0 balance and in other mobile it wiped my core balance too and then stopped. Later on I bought LAVA X11 Dual SIM 4G (supports Band 3/5/40 & voLTE too - in case I want to opt for Jio after commercial launch) Unfortunate I could not latch/register on Reliance 4G (LTE) though it was always available in manual scan list. Kept calling customer care and they kept assuring that it will be solved.. Later sent SMS to 1925 and again 3G data started though I have 0 balance (Seems will be adjusted against 10GB credit). Over chat online one Customer care executive told me that my SIM requires software upgrade & only then I will be able to latch to 4G network. I told him that I am not facing any issue with 3G data but he said it is marked in their system against my SIM. So I took all my three SIMs and got software upgrade patch. Still no luck. So called Customer care (again over chat since 198 was not giving option to talk to customer care executive) and finally a Ticket was generated against my complain to be solved in three days on 10th July. To My surprise on 11th July night I just tried to again manually select Reliance 4G and got registered with full bars inside my bedroom too. WOW! and though data was working but It only opened rcom.co.in homepage no matter what you type. While this was undergoing my number again became unreachable for some time. But since 12th July afternoon though it is connected to 4G (LTE) - data is also connected but net is not working any more. But if I switch to 3G network my data starts working normally and also Shows "Data used 0.00 bytes. Avail Bal Main Rs.0.00, it is valid till 28-06-2030. Data Usage balance:0.00 bytes." while switching. When dialing or receiving call/sms/ussd 4G switches to 3G/H/H+ temporarily for voice. I have disabled voLTE as it was enabled by default and afaik rcom does not use voLTE at present. Looking at the signal strength indoors I can say it is Band 5 (850Mhz). While connected to 4G if the data is switched off or mode is changed to WCDMA (3G/H+) - it shows a message "Data used 0.00 bytes. Avail Bal Main Rs.0.00, it is valid till 28-06-2030. Data Usage balance:0.00 bytes." and while connected to 3G (H+) if I dial *367# or *111# to check balance it shows "Your main account balance is Rs.0.01. it is valid till 20-07-2021" - so I believe that still our connections are in HYBRID mode (RGSM + LTE) & not totally shifted to LTE4G independent core system. And once it is totally shifted to LTE4G, we can expect 10GB 4G data after deducting our 3G usage. Likely to be on 16th August 2016 IMHO. Finally My Data card SIM got activated today (13th July) though it was showing under migration in their system since 24th May. Data Card latches to 4G but no internet data transfer. It gets connected to WCDMA (3G/H+) too and internets also works but amount gets deducted from core balance. (I am using Data SIM in Handset) No sign of 10GB 4G yet. So the data connection fall backs on 2G/3G confirmed. Again here the message while switching network mode shows "Data used 0.00 bytes. Avail Bal Main Rs.0.00, it is valid till 27-09-2028. Data Usage balance:0.00 bytes." and if I check balance by dialing *111*1*3# or *367# it shows different messages - interestingly it also shows the promo R2R free 0 mins. free loc 0 mins valid Data 0 bytes for 30 days though SMS and Calls are barred. To be continued..... Mumbai Circle (Mira-Bhayandar East) Though still waiting for 10GB 4G data..... ......Should I go for Reliance's blessing in disguise for loyal CDMA users: RCOM WEBSITE UNDER 4G PREPAID MUMBAI CIRCLE PLAN & PACKS CHECK THIS :- PREPAID VOICE >> MINUTES PACK >> "ALL CALLS ₹97.00 VALIDITY 30 DAYS PLAN" View DETAILS it gives "150 Minutes for Local & STD calls+1GB 3G/2G+43200 Minutes of Local & STD onnet Calls+10GB 4G data" Looks lucrative - Better than JIO.
