Recommended Posts

Tata Teleservices Limited , India’s fastest-growing pan-India dual-technology telecom service provider, today announced that it has emerged as the Number One telecom operator in the country for the forth consecutive month in November, in terms of new subscriber additions, adding more than 3.3 million subscribers in the month. The achievement is all the more noteworthy as the nearest competitor managed to add just over 2.8 million subscribers in the same period, a gap of nearly half a million subscribers.Tata Teleservices Limited has added 3,329,215 new subscribers in November 2009 from its CDMA (Tata Indicom) and GSM operations (TATA DOCOMO), put together. In October 2009 too, TTSL had showed a healthy growth in new additions, with 3,867,725 new subscribers being added.

Expressing his delight over the achievement, Mr Anil Sardana , Managing Director of Tata Teleservices Limited, said: “It is extremely gratifying to emerge as the top grosser in the industry in terms of new subscriber additions, for the fourth consecutive month. We thank and appreciate every subscriber’s faith on us as an efficient service provider—this achievement further affirms our goal to constantly improve and provide world-class products and offering to our subscribers. We have added close to 15 million new subscribers over the last four months—this figure itself is a testimony to the efforts that have been put into making our network and services the best in the industry.

now that's real good feat by DoCoMo... every one was expecting their additions to slow down since per-sec offers are available with all operators.. but Tata's have proved them wrong..

DoCoMo is emerging as a very strong mobile brand.

That is because of its 1p/2sec local call charges for a reasonable rent AND 1p/sec roaming also...

Tata Docomo has become synonymous with transparency. It will take a long time for other operators to match Docomo on this front.

^^+1.

Frankly, Tata Docomo is Simpler than Simply Reliance!

Docomo only has per sec plan with everything pre built!

For many Tata Docomo is the synonym for per sec billing!

At least Tatas made a sound decision by partnering NTT DoCoMo for gsm roll out. Its where they have beaten Rcomm handsdown. No wonder it has been leading in subscriber addition.

I heard that they (Indicom) are going to reduce roaming rates for even the basic tariffs also... (Also 1p/sec roaming coming for 1p/sec upcoming plan)... I am talking about postpaid...

Tatas should launch that FullOnBOL offer to all circles (5Lakh on-net seconds FREE for Rs99/year) and the FREE seconds should also be made applicable for Tata Indicom & Virgin customers too, so that they can continuously hold the First Place in net additions for coming months too..
