HTC One on Sprint - World phone

Recommended Posts

Need some information:

1. The digital clock with weather is showing HORA BANGAR as the location and the weather from there. I have tried GPS to locate and also put in Kanpur as a location. Does not help. If I select any other clock it says insufficient space. How to fix it?

2. The first screen has the Digital Clock with weather (as above) and a couple of blue panels for news and connect/ share. How do I get rid of them?

3. It is superb on WiFi but seems to be erratic on Mobile Network - keeps oscillating between nothing, 1X and eVDO. How do I make this better?

So we can use sprint HTC one over GSM or not ? if yes then how...

Dont know it is posted or not, but here it is....

I don't take any credit just posting,,,All credit goes to hotaru2k3 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=4572661)

and Rimidal (http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=1468774) for writing step by step and video

1. You should be rooted

2. Download https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...al.androidterm

3. Run Terminal Emulator

4. Type "su" (excluding quotation marks) and grant it superuser permission

5. Type "am start com.redbend.vdmc/com.htc.omadm.test.TestMainActivity" (excluding quotation marks)

6. You will get menu on your HTC

7. In that menu, select "API", then scroll down 'till almost end and select "simlock"

8. Reboot the phone and hopefully it would accept GSM SIM

9. Enter *#*#4636#*#* in your dialer

10.In the phone information section(the first one) set preferred network type to something that is GSM specific: "WCDMA Preferred", for example. The phone will switch to GSM mode

here's a video also if you get stuck

Good news for all the HTC ONE owners, the HTC flagship of this year will have its 4.3 update served as early as this month(for all versions). This is conveyed by HTC America's president Jason Mackenzie on Twitter responding to queries on the update.

I'm on stock rooted 4.3 with updated radio and latest firmware

here's what i did

1) RUU'd 1.29
2) unlocked bootloader, flashed twrp recovery and flashed su
3)updated TWRP to 2.6.3
4) relocked bootloader
5) copied the stock rooted 3.04.651.2 ROM to sdcard
6) fastboot flashed latest firmware w/o hboot, boot recovery (on reboot at this stage, touch won't work as rom is still 1.29)
7) adb reboot bootloader, and from recovery flashed the new 4.3 stock rooted rom

you need stock recovery to get the OTA. so use the 1.29 RUU from xda, and then take the OTA to get to 4.3 ..don't think you wil loose gsm unlock by doing this, but you need to relock bootloader before RUU'ing

^ You can instead flash rooted stock ROM. Much easier as compared to returning to stock, then flashing RUU, then OTA, then unlock bootloader and then again root!

Saurabh ji, so I should just update twrp to 2.6.3 and download this s-off version and use cmd commands to flash it from fastboot?

What all I know that you need to flash the firmware first(mentioned in the first post) and then you can flash the ROM(mentioned in the second post).

I may be wrong so please read, read and read.....

I am on Software version 1.29.651.7 and unlocked bootloader with s-off hboot 1.44.0000 and radio is 4.00.20.0315

How do i go about upgrading to this> I upgraded the twrp and firmware and then rebooted, Touch stopped working. Now ruu'd back!

before upgrading twrp and flashing firmware copy the 3.04 stock rooted Rom to your phone. after flashing new twrp and firmware, reboot to boot loader ,and select recovery and flash the stock rooted Rom, and you would be good to go
