10.6-inch Microsoft Surface Tablets Announced, Powered By Windows 8 Source Hands-on with Microsoft's new Surface tablet PC. >> http://www.theverge.com/2012/6/18/3095335/microsoft-surface-hands-on Microsoft Surface for Windows RT vs. Microsoft Surface for Windows 8 Pro >> http://www.theverge.com/products/compare/5799/5800 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AKFIG4c2U2A After days of speculation and rumors, Microsoft's major announcement has just been unveiled at a press event in Los Angeles: a Surface tablet. We suspected the company might be working on its own tablet, and Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer revealed the device on stage at Milk Studios in Los Angeles today. Discussing Microsoft's history with Windows, Xbox, and Kinect, Ballmer introduced a video of the company's hardware products over the years before unveiling Windows 8's companion, the Microsoft Surface. Microsoft's Steven Sinofsky took to the stage to describe the hardware of Microsoft's Surface tablet. There will be two options for Microsoft's Surface PC, one powered by Intel's 22nm Ivy Bridge chips running Windows 8, and another Surface powered by an ARM chipset and Windows RT. The Windows RT version is just 9.3mm thin, weighs 1.5lbs, includes a built-in kickstand, and is the first PC with a vapor-deposited (PVD) magnesium case, according to Microsoft. It will ship in 32GB or 64GB versions, complete with a 10.6-inch ClearType HD display (of unknown resolution). Microsoft's Intel-based Surface tablet will run Windows 8 Pro, with a thickness of 13.5mm, a weight of 1.9lbs, and USB 3.0 support. This particular version will also include magnesium casing and a built-in kickstand, but will ship with either 64GB or 128GB storage. Additionally, the Intel version will include additional digital ink support through a pen that magnetizes to the body of the tablet, and a 10.6-inch ClearType "Full HD" display. Both of Microsoft's Surface tablets feature optional Touch and Type keyboard covers. Microsoft says suggested retail pricing will be announced closer to availability and is expected to be competitive with a comparable ARM tablet or Intel Ultrabook-class PC.
  2. Motorola Droid Razr Maxx

If battery life is the primary issue for heavy users like you, then no smartphone on the planet currently matches Droid Razr Maxx atleast on that parameter. You'll have to also consider whether you would like to shift to GSM from CDMA because the version officially launching in india will be GSM. Another thing, Droid Razr Maxx is on Android 2.3 but ICS is promised. There were reports that Maxx shipping in Germany was already having ICS. Non-removable battery is a concern when android hangs but this tip on how one can power off maxx when it freezes may help >> Soft Reset - DROID RAZR / RAZR MAXX by MOTOROLA
  3. Motorola Droid Razr Maxx

In the first line of specs, it clearly mentions it as a GSM phone. If the topic OP would have read specs further, in connectivity it mentions HSDPA. This is infibeam link >> http://www.infibeam....x.html?id=Black Infibeam would have put put a verizon video only because they might not have landed their hand on anything else to describe the phone.

When HTC and Samsung came out with burst camera in their quad core devices we were all excited by one of the camera feature "Burst shot mode" But now thanks to Spritefish we can now have the same experience on our Android devices and you don't need to have the One X or Galaxy S3 Fast Burst Camera has made its way onto the Play Store and it does exactly what we were looking for. Simply hold down the button and you can snap up to 30 photos in a single second if your device allows it. On low-end devices, 5-10 photos per second is possible. Hold shoot button for continuous burst, or tap for fast single shots Installed on EVO 3D and worked . 13. Buying a new car? Discuss here!

Reva may look very attractive for running cost but not a very practical solution IMHO for overall usability compared to what total initial capital cost you incur. How much does it sell for now a days? Whatever one may say, once you have a car, there will be ocassion when it will run for more than 60-80 kms at a stretch and you'll end up with charging problem. Plus the battery replacement over a period of time. There are only about 4,000 Reva sold till date which says a lot. Other issues like low power at steep inclines may be there. Tata Nano may be a far better option for low capital + running cost.
  14. @digitalnirvana If you ask any doctor, they will tell you that there is nothing that can match good old manual BP monitors for accuracy. Atleast i have not seen any doctor, small or big till now using digital BP monitors for patients. Of course some learning curve & patience is required for using it which most don't have in today's age of instant nirvana. There are many digital ones available on Pepperfry. Can use discount code PEPUPTOK7 for Rs 400 Off on orders above Rs 1,000. Valid till 20th June. OR can use Rs 500 discount code on orders above Rs 1,500 which is given upon NEW account registration on Pepperfry. Omron HEM 4030 Semi Automatic Upper Arm Bp Monitor Rs 1,099 >> http://www.pepperfry...bp-monitor.html Omron HEM 7111 Fully Automatic Upper Arm BP Monitor Rs 1,349 >> http://www.pepperfry...bp-monitor.html Omron HEM-7112 Upper Arm BP Monitor Rs 1,389 >> http://www.pepperfry...m-hem-7112.html Omron HEM 7101 Upper Arm BP Monitor Rs 1,499 >> http://www.pepperfry...bp-monitor.html I guess few use standalone CD players today, so they are dead as a category from good brands. Ofcourse top audiophile HiFi brands sell standalone CD players but those are costly and should be above 20K. Either get the cheap chinsese stuff or things like this from Philips >> http://www.philips.c...N_CONSUMER=true
  15. Any modern LCD should accomodate 1 DTH + 1 DVD input comfortably through a combination of input ports. All DTH HD Set top boxes in India has HDMI output. It may have component output too. Non HD DTH Set top boxes has composite. Check what kind of output is there on your DVD player. It can be HDMI, Component or Composite. Some have all three. You can always accomodate these 2 devices on the models in question through using any combination of input ports. The difference between composite and component is that composite can't carry HD Video whereas component can carry Full HD video signal. Difference between Component and HDMI is that HDMI will carry audio signal in addition to Full HD Video signal in the same cable whereas component can't carry audio in the same cable. AFAIK, there will be no TRUE Backlit OR Local dimming Full HD LED TV within 32K budget through Official Retail Channel.
  16. Must Have Android Apps For Your Smartphone - Part II

Smart Screen ON Lite >> https://play.google....mVlbm9ubGl0ZSJd This is a great app. Using the Proximity Sensor, you can turn on / off the display screen of your android. No need to stress the hardware power button of your phone. Just wave your hand/finger over proximity sensor even without touching it and the display screen turns on. Though it mentions designed to work on galaxy nexus, i am able to use it on EVO 3D. Should work on other androids. Try.
  17. Compared to Xperio Neo V/Ray, Defy+ has more internal storage + water, dust & scratch proof. Nothing much to separate for other specs. >> http://www.gsmarena....2&idPhone2=4098 Neo V/Ray will get ICS update whereas Defy+ will stay on Android 2.3
  18. Please suggest Dual SIM CDMA+GSM handset

Funny thing happenned. Browsed seventymm with your link after logging in there. Updated my contact details and logged out. Just now received call from them. The lady asked, Sir you visited site and updated contact, what were you trying to buy? I said nothing. She was very insistent... "Nahi nahi aisa kaise ho sakta hai.. Aap ko kya kharidna hai, muje batao! Kuchh to lena hi hoga! Le hi lijiye!" These guys are looking desperate for sales.
  19. Digitalnirvana wanted with official warranty otherwise none of the suggestion stand a chance against grey market in terms of pricing. Grey market prices have always been very low compared to official with warranty.
  20. ^ ^ ^ Considered Karbonn A9? >> http://www.rimweb.in...-ghz-processor/ It also seems to have dev support for rooting on XDA >> http://forum.xda-dev...d.php?t=1670998 If Dual SIM is not must, either Xperia Neo V or Ray is good choice in 13K range.
  21. LED TV vs. LCD TV >> http://lcdtvbuyinggu...led-vs-lcd.html For increased budget of 32K for LED, If i was the buyer would have bought this as it's the best bang for buck to me. Philips Full HD LED 32PFL4556 >> http://www.philips.c...712.app102-drp3 Flipkart Description >> http://www.flipkart....d1-89fe6d57b294 It matches Samsung 32EH5000 on most features but has a better 120 Hz Perfectmotion compared to 50 Hz in Samsung. Samsung may have better audio quality. Philips Full HD LED 32PFL4556 is available for Rs 28,310 here after ICICI code >> http://www.buythepri...2pfl4556__11251 However please don't go by my recommendation alone. Do your own research / other inputs. Did you buy it from grey market import at that price or official retail channel?
  22. Good to know. I heard many horror stories for earlier Akai LCD models that's why cautioned. Yes 30% difference is substantial. Technology is not moving backwards but there has to be some difference between 50-75K and 20-30K TV. It seems more one pays, thinner it gets. But now there are so many options for lower price points to satify a vast consumer segment for whom BUDGET is the key. Real forward movement of technology is what impacts maximum mankind in a positive way. Basic technology for most products have matured so much and there are not many groundbreaking innovations, so manufacturers have to find some or the other USP to sell their products as the next big thing. I don't understand what great difference .5, 1 or 2 inch thickness will make for TV other than the visual aesthetics. Yes there will be power saving with LED, but one is not holding TV in hand always like a mobile. However our good doctor Genius may say that some amount of body fat is necessary for healthy functioning. Arrey bhai, you won't be bedridden forever. Get well soon. So wait if you can to visit stores. Else i find this Panasonic VIERA TH-L32U30D as the most feature rich, VFM Full HD LCD from a top brand. >> http://www.panasonic...useries/l32u30d Check the description in detail on Flipkart >> http://www.flipkart....01-f55dbc78522f It's available for Rs 26,362 (after ICICI coupon code) on buytheprice >> http://www.buythepri...d-32u30d__11242
  23. Help for selecting best HD DVR DTH service

You can access full number of channels from DTH Set top box on any TV provided it has a video input. TV Tuner channel capability is not relevant as your DTH video feed is not going there.
  24. I use this and find it a good product. Panasonic Cordless Phone KX-TG3611 Rs 1,565 >> http://www.ebay.in/i...#ht_5514wt_1139 May be available for 100-200 bucks less in your local market. The same phone costs Rs 1,999 on a reputed online shop >> http://www.flipkart....76-0af18bde81c5 Check this rough viewing distance/TV size calculator >> http://www.amazon.co...ocId=1000021501 Though now a days i see many people buying 40" even for small rooms. Bigger the better is mantra. It may be difficult to get a Full HD 32" in your budget of 20-25 from good TV brands online. If you want to take a risk, can try either of this Akai 32" Full HD at Rs 19,990 >> http://www.flipkart....03-e7917fdfafcb Onida 32 Inches Full HD at Rs 23,090 >> http://www.flipkart....45-5822096fda7e OR increase the budget for Full HD of topline brand. If you want to stick to budget, this HD Ready from Toshiba is true VFM and reasonable quality at Rs 17,470 (After discount code ICICI) >> http://www.buythepri...32hv10ze__11278 Though i would prefer this better model from Toshiba-32PB1E at Rs 19,410 >> http://www.flipkart....4f-bd55c4dae605 It has 10 Bit Video Processing, Ambient Light Sensor, Power Meta brain Picture engine etc. It's not available for your location from Flipkart, so may have to search in local market.
  25. Class 6 SanDisk 32GB Mobile Ultra microSDHC Card (Class 6) Rs 1,675 >> http://www.smartshop...c-card-class-6/ I have absolutely no idea about site reliability. Choose only Cash on delivery if ordering. Class 4 Either Sandisk at Rs 1,154 >> http://www.ebay.in/i...8#ht_4633wt_905 or Transcend at Rs 1,210 >> http://www.ebay.in/i...#ht_5192wt_1066 Use 5% Ebay Discount Codes for payment through various Credit Card/Netbanking NOTE: Personally i prefer Transcend Class 4. It gives better random read/write performance which is mostly relevant for mobile usage. It's said that technically higher the memory card class, random read/write performance may be lower (In Comparison). When we copy large amount of DATA on card, then higher class card will obviously finish the job in lower time but how many times we do that? It's generally copied only ocassionally OR mostly one time whereas random read/write is a daily occurrence. So savings of few minutes on some ocassion may not be much relevant compared to day to day good performance in mobile usage. These are my thoughts as taking every rupee out in Price/Performance/VFM type of user. May not apply to everyone.
