^ ^ ^ Agree. Brother's printers, MFP's has maximum features at lowest possible price. @vijaymalhotra_2007 If you don't need ADF (Though i would say it's very convenient if scanning / copying requirement will be regular / large volume ) and Ethernet etc., consider these two MFP's, Samsung SCX - 3206W at Rs 10,199 >> http://www.flipkart....a0-4a9fcf38221e Small, Sleek and WiFi. Please suggest handset with Qwerty, Slider, Touch, Dual SIM, Camera & Flash
rajanmehta replied to city02's topic in Other handsets
I fear there is not a single handset from any of the branded manufacturer which can fulfill all your 7 requirements. You can either probe handsets like this >> http://www.ebay.in/itm/230738512233#ht_30769wt_1139 to check how much it's viable OR if you drop the slider QWERT keyboard part, can consider recently launched Samsung Galaxy Y Pro Duos >> http://www.flipkart.com/samsung-galaxy-y-pro-duos-b5512-mobile-phone/p/itmd6vvtcnt2wfkm?pid=MOBD6VVSUH6MYFXS&_l=hjGYWjnGJ+E4lIUIRL2THA--&_r=YT8yNV_31ZaFkwpxJCEaRg--&ref=1614baf0-42f4-4d1a-9c8e-e3541ab84101 -
Whatsapp workaround for using it on different handsets

^ ^ ^ He put the image for CDMA users only. In Geniusji's posts, 50% of communication happens through words, rest in images. Now i can appreciate "Monalisa" much better than any time in the past. -
I have noticed on many / most forums that View New Content / New Posts option is enabled for guest users too. Also noticed that at any given time on RIMweb, usually the ratio of guest users / registered users browsing is nearly 10 times higher in favour of guest users. Though we also have the Home Page but it contains only the last 15 posts. In order to increase our visibility / better, easier access to chronological content on the forum for guest users, can we consider enabling the option?

2G Scam: Supreme Court Quashes 122 Licences issued in 2008
rajanmehta replied to csmart's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
Etisalat To Shut Down its Operations in India Source Abu Dhabi-based Etisalat on Wednesday said it will shut down its operations in India following Supreme Court cancelling its telecom license. "As unanimously resolved by the Board this evening, Etisalat DB will be taking steps to reduce operating costs, including the suspension of its network and services, pursuant to the terms of its UAS licenses," the company said in an e-mailed statement. Etisalat is the second foreign company, after Bahrain Telecom, to exit India, following the apex court ruling of February 2. "The decision has been taken in order to protect the interests of all stakeholders and to avoid incurring further costs at this time of rapid change and continued uncertainty in the Indian telecommunications sector," Etisalat said. Etisalat had 1.67 million subscriber across 15 circles. On February 9, Emirates Telecommunications Corp (Etisalat) had written off about USD 820 million worth value of its Indian operations by way of an impairment charge as an after effect of Supreme Court order. Anil Ambani Group firm Reliance Infratel had sought Rs 1,200 crore from Etisalat DB in rental for telecom towers the company had used for its operations. "Further information, including the official cessation date will be communicated shortly to EDB's customers through the appropriate channels," the statement added. -

This is now available at a much lower price from the announced MRP of Rs 16,900. Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos i589 at Rs 13,490 >> http://www.koovs.com...les-accessories But there is a controversy. Apparently GSM Arena suggest that it's not actually a phone having two SIM slots but will only support either GSM or CDMA SIM. GSM Arena >> http://www.gsmarena....0-news-3824.php Called up Samsung India to verify this but as usual they said they have no official info about this handset. That's a Week after Samsung India bosses launched the handset which is already available online

^ ^ ^ For a Droid Incredible 2 which is not MEID registered with Reliance or other carrier and is used through the chinese ROM via UIM Card in CDMA Mode, no updates can be applied as it may break the UIM card functionality. You'll have to wait for the updated chinese ROM. Same principle will apply for ICS update too as and when it becomes available. For a handset which is MEID registered and working on CDMA without the UIM card, RUU should work well. If one is using only for GSM, then too RUU should work. This is my educated guess. Some Incredible 2 owner will be in a better position to confirm authentically.

What an idea! Does it work actually? I mean do the tubelight or crt tv continue to work after facing the cursed pixi touchscreen?

Not suggesting anyone to use this for very high value phones, Do it at your own risk. But may be a viable option for some. Just sharing my experience. Recently i sent a phone through Speed Post. It was packed very well in a box with plastic and all. The guy at the counter did not bother to even ask what it contains. Just took it, made the slip. Only Rs 50 (Weight was approx 400 gms). Then you can track it Online. The parcel was delivered within 48 hours from Mumbai to a city in Gujarat. Funny part: Online tracking was still showing it's reached the delivery destination in the evening whereas it was actually delivered that day in morning.

Which phone it is? Have you installed the USB drivers for the phone on the system first? Is the phone showing in the Device Manager on COM port? Are you selecting that port in CDMA Workshop and then click on connect?

Your Memory Card To Blame For Sluggish Smartphone Performance: Shows Latest Study
rajanmehta replied to rajanmehta's topic in General Technical Discussion
@ami1 Probably yes if we are getting the same Transcend here in india as in the US market where they tested it. There are some apps in the Android Market which allows to change the Read Cache properties for rooted phones. Generally in most stock ROM's, the cache size is very less, sometimes few k only. However this will only improve the read performance. What we need better is random write speed as the study suggests. I think we should try to move atleast browsers to phone's inbuilt memory than SD Card if we can. Should give a better performance in browsing. Random thought. Will try it.
