Not really exicting about Nexus 5. Considering that my n4 is still going good and the price i paid for it was half the n5 indian price
  2. MNP Retention Offer You Received

Got my 1st bill. Rates confirmed 1p/s outgoing local/STD/Roaming Outgoing Roaming incoming free Discount or Rs 200 SMS charges Rs0.50
  3. Check for country like Australia... It clearly supports Band 40 (TD 2300). Same is in India
  4. Google Nexus 5 is Official Finally!

First test result waited - cdma SIM !! Checked with rcdma but its not working out of the box... Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 2 It wont unless its a North America version. was sure on that
  5. Motorola Announces Moto G

http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/11/13/motorola-announces-the-moto-g-a-competitive-mid-range-phone-for-179-off-contract-coming-to-the-us-in-january/ Best Part is it is coming in CDMA as well Should be a hot seller on this forum on coming days considering that it is priced 199$ and 179$ off contract US It will also come to India hope they bring the CDMA version as well to India
  6. Average VLR% for reliance in month of April13 was around 87, Idea 98, Airtel 95, Vodafone 95 This should give an indicaion of how many more subscribers RCOM might clean up...
  7. my 2.5 year old prepaid number from Hyderabad seems to be deactivated. (Not used since April 2011) Earlier when called it used to say switch off. Now its just beep once or twice and call is disconnected
  8. List of CDMA + GSM Handsets

They must be reusing parts acorss different handsets and hence such discripency
  9. Source? If controlling stake was in name of mother she would have listed in rich list of world... But Mukesh and Anil do have their in that name Change in legal owner is what i am doubting, what ever the people say in this forum i wont believe unless officially announce Rjio can operate on RCOM same as what T24 does on TATA
  10. Google Nexus 5 is Official Finally!

DId you get hold of it?
  11. you can... All the amount is blocked on credit card...No refund from RCOM side so RCOM have got money for 2 years upfront from the CC bank... it is upto you to use it or not. But yes. You will have to clear your CC bill else your credit score gets impacted
  12. even if the news of Rjio taking over RCOM is true...is it worth it... 30K Crore of Debt + market price for all the spectrum that RCOM holds(almost 6-10MHz in all circles) + open offer in the market total cost will be anywhere close to $10+ Billion I think Rjio will just use RCOM network to give Voice service. Something similar to T24, Vergin.. and when license of RCOM comes for renew RJIO will apply and take over everything at a lesser cost
  13. Google Nexus 5 is Official Finally!

Nexus 5 does have two different versions D820 and D821 D821 does not support CDMA http://www.phonearena.com/news/Differences-between-the-two-Nexus-5-models-D820-and-D821_id48985 even they have got two different certifications for Nexus 5 http://www.androidauthority.com/lg-nexus-5-lg-d820-wi-fi-certification-270186/ If someone is able to source Nexus 5 D820....should be a world phone and will support RCDMA OHM But will not support LTE in India
  14. News Snippets

The best part of Nexus 5 is that it is confirmed for CDMA band 0/1/10 Should work in India... unfortunately it will not support LTE band in India Hopping to see that soon on this forum
  15. With M&A policy coming in. Spectrum trading allowed what is going to stop Reliance jio from offering full services for Voice? As per my understanding Reliance jio is more interested in FTH services rather than Mobile Voice services. One fiber will bring in host of services like Landline Phone(VOIP), Cable TV, on top of that Voice service which can be given via using spectrum of RCOM. In future Reliance jio will bring in devices capable of VOIP/FAX/answering machine/Wifi Router. Charges around Rs1000-1500 for all the service.(landline+ cable+ High speed Internet+Wifi Router)
  16. Is it possible to use Nexus 4 on reliance cdma?
  17. MNP Retention Offer You Received

on PPS199 plan from last 3 years or so. was getting Rs100 discount from last year or so... This time instead of discount opted for a different plan My Roam 200 (DSSEPPS200) As per retention team details are as Rs200 talktime All outgoing 1p/s SMS 1Rs Incoming free on roaming any one else also using this plan??
  18. Vodafone have it, No info about others
  19. Is EVDO Rev.A good enough?

As per my view currently EVDO A should be sufficient to meet requirements of most of the subscriber. 500-600Kbps is good enough for video chats and occasional downloads. For regular download one cant depend on mobile internet due to the cost factor involved. Just off topic... Tata plans to expand Photon Max network http://www.indiatvnews.com/business/india/tata-docomo-plans-to-expand-high-speed-mobile-broadband-service-7875.html Down 2-3 years I think TCDMA/RCDMA will close business for voice only service and will upgrade most of their Metro/mini metro network to have EVDO.B capabilities
  20. Do check if any of your friend is coming from Australia. Recently I purchased 8gb and 16 gb version got it from playstore Aus at around 15K and 18.5K
