    @kanag, than used to give constant 26-30 KBps when they were introduced here in tn(I used it only for gprs)... din't use it for a long time as I stopped using it after BSNL 3G..now everybody seems to scold rgsm.. has it gone that bad?!!!!

    Even if it does, there's mts to fall back on. Mts seems to move in the right direction now. And future of cdma in india is in their hand.. They've reiterated time and again that they are concentrating only on cdma not like tata or reliance keeping one leg in each. Cheap tariffs, good network, very good customer service. Only thing missing is data plans. I hope they fix it soon. and btw, i'm a doctor. I'm in no way connected to mts. :-)
  13. MTS has been doing a pretty good job here in tamilnadu. Nw it has started a new feature called mbonus to give extra benefits for its valued customers . You can join it free by smsing "MBONUS" TO 52505 where by you'll get initially 50 min free talktime for joining. After that, you'll continue to get special talktime/vas offers and special tariffs offers based on your usage.. googled for mbonus.. Nothing came up in india.. Seems they have a similar plan in ukraine.. Anyway, dunno whether offer is pan india. Pls call up local cust care(probably 155) to get info. I don't think it is simply a marketing gimmick. I myself got an offer where i'll get 275 talktime with 200 rupees. :-)

  17. @rajan bhai, and btw, i've a winmo which i can give to them for using with skype. Its not a prob. But, they don even know how to reconnect if the connection drops. So, i thought if there is a phone which once programmed for a specific skype profile and connected to the net thru ethernet stays connected forever and can be used just like landline, it'll be best for them. So, kindly specify any such model so that i can atleast ask them to search for it in simlim. My gratitude...

  19. @Rajan bhai, i was looking for a skype phone(with or without sip) that doesn't require pc inbetween. It has to be connected directly to the router(any sort of connectivity method-ethernet/wifi). It need not have special features and all. I want the simplest and cheapest one.. I tried searching in google and ebay. Couldn't find one. All the products which came up in results, required a pc inbetween.. So, pls help.. I'm buying this for my relative's home in singapore. So, even if product location is not in india, its not a problem.. Thank you..
