I bought Kodak charger with 4 kodak batteries from ebay. It was of 575 less 10% discount coupon = Rs. 517.50. However, I found that the Kodak charger does not automatically cutoff after the complete charging. I think in future, if I find a good deal, I would go with some good charger.

I work with one of the biggest MNCs. It has more that 3Lac employees world wide. All the laptops given to employees across the world has Symantec pre-installed and nobody can install anything else as per the guideline. I am using this laptop for past 3.5 years without any problem. I dont know why Symantec is not in this discussion and poll. However, at home, in my PC I used AVG free for more than 8 yrs now without any problem. Have no experience of any other. So voted for AVG.

Thanks everybody for your suggestions. However, I was in little hurry. After some search I liked Spice Mi-310 very much. But then I got an advise that touch screen phones are not good when you have infants at home So I ordered Motorola X115. Thanks once again for all your help and suggestion.

The news is an eyewash. It is true that BSNL is not in its pink health. But certainly it is not in situation which it has reported or given by this news. BSNL has problems of plenty - marketing, dwindling market share, huge internal burdens like wages, inefficiencies etc.. but dont forget that it is still the largest telecom operator in India. Has widest reach even in rural area and some places it is still enjoying monopoly. Also dont forget that this is the same organization which is resisting its merger with MTNL and also resisting stake sell by Govt. Believe me, if they come up with an IPO, it will be able to raise may be the biggest money in the world. Then why this news ? Because, For nearly two years it is asking the Govt. to refund the money that it was "forced" to pay for 3G license. It has raised the issue at various levels. Now with this result they are once again asking the Govt. to bail them out. Having one of the largest employment generating companies in India, they know that Govt. will think hundred times before privatizing it. They know that even a comparatively small organization like Indian Airlines are not being sold off, Govt. has no option but to bail them out. This is just an arm twisting tactic.

RGSM in Pune is bad if not worst. Coverage is low and even if you get coverage the voice clarity is, I think, the worst I have ever experienced. In Gujarat, at least in Ahmedabad the the network and call quality is better than in Pune. Not sure about Mumbai. But I agree with your view that once on GSM, you have plenty choices on handsets and freedom from RCDMA's costly data prepositions. But for that matter you can switch to any operator. Vodafone is the best network in Pune. One question : When they contacted you, which plan they offered you ? Will/can you retain the plan that you have on CDMA ? I am stuck with RCDMA because of 440unlimited plan. I too have similar type of usage like you. In case, if the RGSM network improves in Pune (atleast there is some network inside my flat), and if they allow me to keep the same plan, then in future, I may think of switching to it.

^^^^ Changing plan is the problem with all the operators except Rcom. Rcom never changes the plan even after 6 months, unless you ask them to do so. There are customers will DAPO and 440unlimited offers. DAPO discontinued some 4/5 yrs back but they still have the plan. Its good that you fought with them and retained the plan by showing TRAI's rules. However, be sure that your plan will be changed after six months.

I tried to call them on 198 (toll free), but they kept me on redirecting to 12345 (tolled). Yes, I know, Idea has stronger network in Maharashtra and that was the reason, I was testing their service. But...

I was thinking of migrating to Idea. But before jumping into the deep see, I wanted to taste the water. I bought a new prepaid SIM. I did not use it regularly. Then I got this message - Charge with ₹32 and you will get tariff of 1p/2sec for next 60 days along with ₹20 balance ! I did it online. And that was a mistake. Neither it gave me the balance nor the scheme. Contacting CC (need to pay ₹0.50 to talk to them), they said that there is no such recharge denomination ! When I explained that I got the SMS, they said that they cannot repeat the given information (that there is no such recharge) and disconnected the line. After trying 3 times with CC, I went to Idea shop. They asked to send the screenshot of bank site showing deduction of ₹32. I was tired by now and didnt do anything. After 4 days, I saw that Idea claimed that ₹32 from my credit card. Checked the balance once again, it added ₹20. But the scheme is not available. Summary, I found Idea worst than Reliance, in terms of (1) rude Customer Care, (2) online recharge and (3) cheating by not giving me the scheme that was promised in the SMS (which I still hv preserved). So the proven !dea : Reliance is better than Idea.

Is that Windows Mobile tariff ₹95/200MB available on prepaid ? Can it be activated on Imported Blackberry 8330 by giving E*N to CC ?
