  1. Jio4GVoice App (JioJoin)

Are you connected through JioFi Hotspot? If so - is data working? Were you able to configure the app using Otp?
  2. Yes ! My main number for internet & outgoing is now Jio whereas my primary number is still Vodafone (mostly for incoming & few outgoing too). I mostly use my number in Mumbai western suburb (in between Bhayandar to Church gate) & didn't face any connectivity or speed problem. Further Jio's roaming coverage was great with signal present everywhere while traveling from Mumbai to Delhi and up to Haridwar. People in my circle are using Jio in Mumbai, New Delhi, Ranchi (Jharkhand), Kolkata (West Bengal) and Patna (Bihar) without any issue and are happy. I have been using Jio since September last year and observed that Jio is constantly improving over time (Network, Speed & as well as apps) & not downgrading, so I feel that Jio will emerge as a robust network in coming years. The only drawback at present is that Jio's customer service is poor and back-end system software is not up to mark.
  3. Weird logic. The number of porting into a network means that the customers are satisfied (before using the network? ) - so according to you in the past few months highest number of people have ported their numbers to Airtel / Vodafone / Idea and not Jio. Is it so? How can you decide that the user is satisfied prior to using a network? Just because he decided to port his primary number to a particular network. No! Not at all. And there is no survey report of how many people have ported to Jio - so your statement is not justified either. According to me if existing users (using services for more than 3 months) on a network decides to opt for paid services (or continue using services) means they are satisfied and want to continue. As per survey in March more than 72 million Jio users out of 100 million opted for paid services & some even did multiple recharges like me, itself proves the ratio of satisfied users. Let me tell you that a operator whether Jio or any other cannot satisfy its100% customers so the ratings depends on majority basis. Simply if you are not satisfied doesn't mean that majority of the users are not satisfied. As per March surveys approx. 72% of Jio customers seems satisfied & you fall in the 28% unsatisfied category. Further I already have a Jio number so why should I port my primary number. I have never ever ported any of my numbers - all are on their original networks. To conclude I should mention that all networks in India have their pros and cons (non is perfect) and one excels another in services from region to region. So the service of one network can be better in one region or area whereas other can be better in another area. So if a network is good in my area as well as My roaming areas then it is good network for me. Service is more important & pricing is secondary because if I am not able to use the services I am paying for, it's of no use even if it is cheap.
  4. Source of information?? Because I have approx. 15 - 20 Jio connections among my family & close circle in different cities & non of them/us is dissatisfied.

  6. Reliance JioFiber High Speed Broadband Internet

Reliance Jio to launch JioFibre broadband by Diwali this year. http://indianexpress.com/article/technology/tech-news-technology/reliance-jio-jiofiber-home-broadband-launch-diwali-100gb-data-at-rs-500-report-4680340/lite/
  7. True!! Mobile is essential & has become our identity. OTP / alerts for bank services or IMPS or UPI or any other online registration - buying e-ticket or what not - even Aadhaar without mobile registration is incomplete. PAN is still not mandatory for bank account (bank account without PAN has some restrictions) but existing PAN holder's need to attach their Aadhaar to be able to file returns from 1st July this year or their PAN will become invalid till Aadhaar is not furnished & new PAN can only be obtained if you have Aadhaar card as well (petition filled against this is pending under Supreme Court). Finally it may become mandatory for all as seems by Govt's approach. In fact it should be mandatory for fighting elections also. The only issue worries me is the security of biometric data of individuals which can be disastrous if leaked or stolen. Recently there was a news about such an event & different entities were blaming each other.
  8. This is a contradictory statement by Supreme Court itself as on one side it is saying that Aadhaar is optional and cannot be made mandatory where as on the other side it is making eKYC compulsory for Mobile. From this year Govt has made Aadhaar mandatory for PAN / Income tax filing also and the case is still pending in Supreme Court. Though making Aadhaar based eKYC mandatory for mobile may help prevent misuse of mobile for criminal activities but how will it benefit in case of PAN. In some places Govt has also forcefully implemented Aadhaar for new born babies wherein Birth Certificate is being issued only after issue of Aadhaar. Since the passing of Aadhaar Bill the Govt is trying to make it mandatory. Aadhaar data leakage / theft can be disastrous. We can just wait and see.
  9. Supreme Court passed order on 6th February 2017 that Aadhaar-based eKYC verification should be done for all mobile phone numbers (Pre-paid & Post paid existing or new) in the country by 6th February 2018.
  10. AIRCOM ?

They could have come up with reasonable data offers if they really wanted to survive. Anil Ambani thought that they are merging with Aircel so why not take the opportunity to transfer few customers to elder brother (Some backdoor settlement). Otherwise when all the operators (Airtel, Vodafone, Idea etc.) are coming up with new schemes to lure customers Rcom remained stagnant with its 3G/4G pricing as if it does not bother to hold customers. So Rcom is basically on suicide mission by not offering anything new and neither he wants to hold even its loyal CDMA customers who were upgraded to 4G.
  11. But why? Did they give any specific reason? By when it will be enabled? I wonder how can Jio expect people to opt for MNP and switch to their network if they keep such important things disabled even after commercial launch. Oh! I forgot that their software is still not properly configured to identify / filter the chargeable SMS.
  12. Is it TOP SECRET ? Process or steps cannot be posted here ?
  13. Yes ! And same stands for calling premium numbers (reverse billing numbers) too, as well as ISD will also be charged from the main balance unless you subscribe any ISD pack.
  14. Tax on sale of ancestral land in telangana

Yes you are right - I just missed "agricultural". @ramtech Read this
  15. Tax on sale of ancestral land in telangana

May be - you don't have to pay any Capital Gain Tax. Read the full article here Get in touch with some IT Lawyer & quote the above reference.
  16. Tax on sale of ancestral land in telangana

No. (It is Capital gain tax and is calculated on the basis of years - you get the benefit of "Cost Inflation Index" abbreviated as CII ) You can see the chart from 1981 to today from the following links ( Official PDF for capital gain is available at Income Tax site). https://cadiary.org/cost-inflation-index-capital-gain/ http://wealth18.com/cost-inflation-index-chart-table-1981-to-2014-for-income-tax-capital-gain-purpose/ Suppose you don't have the actual Cost of Acquisition of the land then you can calculate on the basis of fair market value as on 1st April 1981 (Get the property valuation done by a Approved Registered Valuer as on 1st April 1981 and use it as COA). So COA (Cost of Acquisition) = Fair Market Value as on 1st April 1981 + any other cost incurred thereafter for development etc. Thereafter you can calculate by the formula : Capital Gain = Sale Price - Indexed Cost of the Property (Further any expense occurred while selling can also be deducted such as brokerage & other expenses) Indexed Cost of the Property = Actual COA x (Index in the year of Sale which is 2017 / Index in the Year of Purchase which is 1981 in your case) So suppose the COA was ₹4 Lakh (as on 1-04-1981) & you sold the property for ₹50 Lakh ( Since the CII value is not yet announced for 2017-2018 we will consider that the property was sold in 2016-2017 i.e. Last year for our calculations) Now the Indexed Cost of the Property = COA x (CII of 2016-17 / CII of 1981-82) = ₹4 Lakh x (1125 / 100) = ₹45 Lakh So the Capital Gain = Sale Price - Indexed Cost of the Property = ₹50 Lakh - ₹45 Lakh = ₹5 Lakh If the Seller of the property are more than one person then this gain would divide among them according to the share in the property. So it has nothing to do with the Government value. The Government value is the minimum value fixed for the collection of Stamp Duty etc. If you sell your property this year then you should use the CII of 2017-2018. Hope this helps.
  17. Tax on sale of ancestral land in telangana

You mean that you don't have the legal documents (Registration deed) of the land? If so then you can approach the required authority to get the duplicate documents from the records. Because AFAIK you just can't sell any property without showing ownership papers. Because capital gains is calculated selling price - original price x index of today / index of the year of purchase. If the period is less than 36 years then short-term capital gain otherwise long-term capital gain. I think this year (2017-2018) there was a proposal for changing the years to 24 instead of 36. You can refer to the article below. http://www.financialexpress.com/industry/banking-finance/capital-gains-tax-when-a-jointly-inherited-property-is-sold/279504/
