Reliance Netconnect B+ (HSD) has significantly increased its presence by adding 16 more cities & thereby taking the tally to 56. It started with 35 & added 5 more: http://www.rcom.co.i...t_coverage.html

After which recently, they have added the below 16 cities: (Website not updated, they too can take info from here)

1. Bhiwadi, Rajasthan

2. Nasik, Maharashtra

3. Perundurai, TN

4. Halol, Gujarat

5. Anand, Gujarat

6. Daman, Gujarat

7. Silvassa, Gujarat

8. Ankleshwar, Gujarat

9. Pondicherry, TN

10. Vellore, TN

11. Hosur, TN

12. Mhow, MP

13. Palladum, Tamil Nadu

14. Bhilwara, Rajasthan

15. Mangalore, Karnataka

16. Manipal, Karnataka

Whereas, TATA has increased their HSD location to Approx. 65-70 towns now:

The argument is still wide open - who is better in terms of Network & Tariffs..

Else, all seems same.

^^ Just like to add something... I had visited a WW here in Rajkot, Gujarat, and the execs there told me, that Broadband+ is also started here... But they warned, speeds would not be actual upto 3.1mbps, and they also said, that it might reach that speeds within 2-3 months...

Most of area' are already covered either by TATA or MTS.

this will helfull only if they start giving more handse with EVDO(like corby)

Ya why not.. maybe Rajkot in next in the pipeline.. but they need to assure carpet coverage before committing.

The WWE guy however maybe just pushing his luck with Customers - technically he is correct even if 10 BTS sites are HSD enabled !

MTS uses same TATA Indicom Infrastructure so there is no meaning Comparing TATA vs Reliance vs MTS only Keep TATA and Reliance in Discussion

Well EVDO require atleast 45mbps Ethernet IPV4 Link as opposed to only one E1 Link of 1.5 mbps, now providing that much link from RING from Base Fiber is require so all Tower which have Sufficient Fiber back can only be upgraded for EVDO or else it will kill 1x due to Bandwidth Problem

Which will be better EVDo or 3G.

I know difference in technology, but which will have more speed?

:previous: huh??? Technically EVDO is considered as "3G" itself, for CDMA. You seem to be confusing it with "HSDPA" which is 3G for GSM.

Dear Friends,

I need to know whether EVDO(hsd) will be available pan India? i.e in near future?

this HSD service has changed the way we surf on the go..

That seems to be the plan for all CDMA operators who have PAN India license... we should see it available in all urban areas at least in the future.

In one other forum I was told that MTS doesnt use Tata network in roaming.

Could you please clarify as if what kind of tie-up exists between the two?

I was in Chandigarh, when I tried to connect to Internet, it was not catching any signals whereas my Tata phone was working perfect!

last month I visited my native place which is about 10 to 12 km away from HSD coverage(MANIPAL, Karnataka)

but i was able to surf using HSD from Manipal. EVen on 1x the speed is good in rural areas.

Friends i was wondering why RELIANCE is not starting voice/sms service on HSD DATA Cards.. When it is easily possible. Yes we can open dialers and sms options in their netconnect software provided with hsd but need to have service activated.

Also is it possible to activate call/sms services on HSD data cards from backend ???
