It's really nice to see slowly OMH Rev. A handsets are entering Indian Market.

Way to Go....

Hope Samsung wakes up and start delivering Rev. A handsets instead of still sticking to Rev. 0 handsets.

Looks quite good!!!!!!

But what about the battery specifications??????

If my information is right, Rev A refers to higher sppeds for data transfers. But this phone shows that the max speed is 3.1 Mbps.

What exactly does rev a mean???

Theoretically, EVDO Rev.A supports download speeds up to 3.1Mb/s and upload up to 1.8Mb/s :) actual speed that we get varies on many factors like time of days, simultaneous users on network, etc :)

Have listed basics about EVDO here if you are interested.

No info about the battery other than that it is Standard Li-ion, quite surprising as this phone was launched way back in July, 2009.

I think the maximum speed offered by the 3G Private players is 21.7MBPS. So if CDMA EVDO auctions become a reality, what can be the expected speed for EVDO combined with a) Rev0 and B ) Rev A?????

EVDO Rev.B has 4.9 Mbps Per Carrier. So if 3 Carriers are adopted peak rate will be 14.7 Mbps.

One more doubt that came to my mind.

How many of our CDMA operators Tata, Reliance and MTS have a Rev A and Rev B ready network?????

EVDO Rev.A, which offers download speeds upto 3.1 mbps, is already being offered by all the mentioned CDMA players in select locations across the country. It is being implemented in the starved 800 Mhz spectrum they are holding.

EVDO Rev.B? What is that? :P

On a serious note, it is currenting being tested in collaboration with ZTE and other leading techies. Commercial launch is still far away.

Hope this clears the picture :)

I am not able to find this handset in delhi.

i checked with three tata indicom showrooms and none of them even knew about it.

later i wrote to their customer care to tell me from where can i buy this phone

and they sent me a list of all of their dealers in india.

I wrote them back to tell me addresses of only one or two dealers who have this handset available

and the customer care haven't replied yet.

someone please tell me from where can i buy this handset in delhi.

thanks,
