I did change to EVDO only mode, in ## DATA # settings & few ither options in Other settings, as per suggestions on one fourm there is no change so, revert back the settings againg i have tried searching for solution but - regarding S3 i didnt find any that could really work. for customers with similar issues in US & UK - there are hardware signal boosters available which they get for free from network provider incase of complaints, thats what i read in on one fourm while searching these hardware signal boosters will increase signal reception in surrounding areas. are there any suggestions for improving the signal strength by tweaking internal settings ....any suggestions ???

I am using Sprint Galaxy S3 ( Stock ROM ) since 10 months & but i am having a strange problem now-a-days, when i am at my Office & Even at my Factory or any other places in & around city : I am getting Excellent Voice & Evdo data service , even some time data is more than 1.6 mbps, & Voice is Flawless & clear - But I have irritating tower problem at my residence Office actually, i spend morning time here & issue is, i am missing half of my calls & even if i receive calls the quality is crippled & Data is connected to only 1-x data ( no Evdo at my residence ), I have compained to Reliance customer care stating that i dont have this problem else where in city, till now I complained to Customer care around 6-7 times every time they say its a tower Problem & will be rectified. but i have got no solution from them & it is increasingly difficult to miss important calls. What i want to know is if I Root my Phone can we tweek the innersettings to increase signal strength ( or) is there any other way to my issue. Please some one reply, this is important to me.

I have updated to OTA 1 week back , had no issues so far , but wanted it to root so , first i did a 1.Hard rest - wipe dats & 2.then also clear / wipe Cache partition 3. reboot after it showed software update again in a notification box (Phone is already updated to EI22 & the notification was again searching so i cancelled ) Now the issue is there on the notification bar , it keeps popping "USB connected" , constantly popping on notification bar, i remove the SD card , then the notification disappeared, so i formated the SD card & reinserted , again it keeps popping & dancing on the Notification bar, Though, I am able to connect to USB Storage - transfer data - even Teether data to PC without any probs, but this notification is very irritating, I google , & tried unchecking Debugging option , and USB option , check on ask options, still this prob stands, only after the hard reset it happened , so i hardreset again still this prob is there Pls help

my HTC touch screen is not responding, it was raining & i got wet, i had tried to protect it from rain when i checked it back at home , the Phone is working properly , but on the screen I see a small area some sought of liquid inside the screen, earlier there use to be a small area where some liquid on touch screen use to appear , however ity never creted any problem in touch sensitivity, but now I think some water has entered the screen area, & the Touch screen is not responding, The Phoen is working all well except for the touch screen I had opened the Back cover & battery & blowed a lttle Hot air with hair blower on the back & fron of the screen..but in vain i had not re[peated it again, doing so may damage the Circuit because of over heationg Any suggestions on how to make it right or shall i take it to service center Pls Respond Regards Satish Dave

I have 3 Queries here Please Clarify.....Pls Excuse my Ignorance.... 1. I had followed the "Generic R world Password method" posted on our fourm to activate data back on my Epic just 1 week before Now, How do I know whether i am using MDN as User name. Pls enlighten me here ( as in the Post you said to be cautious regarding the Apropraite Data Plan for MDN as username, for the EC05 to work with out rebooting, can I proceed with EC05 update. 2. Next I have asked the CC guys & they said I was on "Default - Data Plan" & "Default - Mobile Internet Plan" i am confused with this point. should i be with default plan (or) any type of Data Plan (or) mobile Internet Plan i am really sick of thses plans, as i just came to know that there are two different plance that can ba active for data on our phones 1st one is for browsing on laptop using phone as modem & the next one is for browsing on Mobile.. which should i take dont know waht to do !! - Can I proceed with EC05 Update.. i dont wish to have phone radio resets because of these data plans issues.. Pls 3. I have one click rooted my epic. so I shall Unroot by ODIN to Stoc DI18 again to get he EC05 update notification. BUT HOW TO I GO FOR mdn AS USERNAME for R world - data plane .. or what should i do prior to updating the, so as not to have radio resets. Dheeraj Bhai...as you observed rightly, resets are is only because of data, I had also seen it when i updated to EB13 last month. but wast is clear for me..

^^^ Removed Systemupdater.apk using stock app remover & went to recovery Mode & selected the Option Clear Cache Partition & Rebooted bingo.. the update notification donsent popup now thanks for the help +1

Even I am getting a " System Update" Notification for past 2-3 days. earlier this month.I had actually rollback to DI 18 using ODIN on my Epic from Froyo & so once i was back on DI18, Rooted my Epic I am happy with this Now. But why i am getting this Notification when i am on Eclair ( when i click the Details on the update notification it says MR4 EC05 System Update Downloaded & verified - 91.5 MB "This Update includes an update to Android 2.2 Froyo, Sprint ID & several miinor system enhancements ......" & so on as you all know I am fedup hitting..."Install later" key, again & again.. but it keeps popping up.. now & then and i also hope it has already eaten up my 91MB out of 324 MB system Memory HOW TO GET RID OF THIS UPDATE & Notification and that 91MB of system Memory also freed up. Pls help!!!! I am afraid, that i might hit the "install update" button accidentally, I dont want to install this crap again & Repeat All that Process of ODIN to Restore back to DI18

No, the reboot Issues still persists, just now when i was calling from call history, at once message poped up- it said that the "Signal Faded" then a big Triangle with Exclamation Mark Appeared on the Screen, then it started to make few beeps & vibrates, i was trying to make the lost call from call history which was on screen then .. but the phone seemed to be irresponsive and then it rebooted.. it is majorly a Radio related Issue only, for sure. nothing else.. otherwise Epic with Froyo is fantastic except for this issue, i cant wait any more.. I am porting back to Eclair Stock Rom for Peace of mind. @ ALL Gurus Please look into this Issue of Froyo - Radio related issue & give us some solution..

^^^ Same with mee too I have just formated my SD Card & a Hard reset, just did nothing else, its been approx 1 day no reeboots yet but for sure there are few call drops ( radio Issues may be) will update again if theres any thing different

Please update how is your Epic now..any reeboots & stability issues, in Last 24 hrs however i have not yet updated the PRL or have not done any thing to the Update yet but the phone has not rebooted nearly since last 24hrs but there has been around 4 call drops.

I'd rather roll back to DI18 Now, as i have waited for quite few days since update & this horrid issue of Reboot. So,once you are on the Stock Rom you can wait till a perfect Solution appears & also be happy , expecting an update from Samsung or Sprint might be a big NO, as of now!

EXACTLY SAME things happens with my epic too after update froyo. &when this happen while i am on call .. it is very irritating. Other than this issuue Every thing else is simply fine in comparision to Eclair..infact i am waiting for some solution (or) shall roll back to Eclair Stock Rom which was also Splindid...& will think & take it for granted that Samsung has never ever released this froyo update....Old is Gold
