  1. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

See the contrast in information. http://rtn.asia/t-t/19768/reliance-communications-switch-off-cdma-june
  2. Reliance CDMA Shutting down

Large number of port outs happening everyday here in Gujarat. The numbers increasing after 4G sim activation. There is no 90 day binding but a few store guys have resorted to fraudulent tactics of not processing bill payments after port code is obtained. Sent from my K016 using Tapatalk
  3. Some handsets have perso SHA network lock. Tried XT1056 method of flashing the nv items but that didn't help. I am expecting help on this. Can try any NCK unlock code method. Will update shortly. Sent from my K016 using Tapatalk
  4. How to use BSNL CDMA RUIM on imported CDMA phones

Due to sudden high demand for BSNL CDMA sim cards, Karimabad branch lot gets exhausted every day. Varachha branch has CDMA cards. And if you can pick up from Navsari, then Fuwara CSC has regular supply of sim cards. Contact Parimal Prajapati at Fuwara CSC for a smooth experience. @Vijaybhai, they give lame excuses like there is no cdma in BSNL, ruims are for WLL, we don't know how to activate the sims, data entry to sancharsoft not happening due to server error, cdma system closing from India etc etc. Please get it from another CSC or exchange. When I bought my first BSNL CDMA, it was ESN type and a bit older, within a month of demand, new cards are now MEID based with evdo active by default. BSNL has very good coverage across Gujarat and it is worth the effort.
  5. TATA CDMA Shutting Down?

There are some circle outlets which do not give new prepaid/postpaid/MNP sim cards. If the Docomo store issues sim cards means service is going to continue in that respective circle. There are more than 800 new ports into Tata Docomo CDMA Gujarat per day. A variety of sim cards available to suit various US phones. Sent from my K016 using Tapatalk
  6. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

Web world UI has a feature of upgrading CDMA sim to 4G which is functional from early May 2016. This feature will continue even after CDMA signals are pulled off. Best is to submit documents by the 10th day from the day of port code issuance. Port transition is as smooth as it was earlier. Postpaid users need to remain extra careful. 7. Full flash xml firmware by fastboot if not showing global/GSM-wcdma. Firmware needs to be the same version as before flashing.
  8. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

Porting can be done after 4G sim sms is sent and also after the new 4G sim services are activated. Some users facing temporary errors from 1900 but eventually it is done successfully. Port code submitted on the last day of expiry is also successful.
  9. Reliance CDMA Shutting down

Information given by tower engineering personnel on 21/05/2016 for Gujarat: "No information given by infrastructure / MSC department to modify CDMA signal or shut down bts temporarily or permanent. No instructions for gain control or horn adjustments or aperture leveling. No messages from switching centre" But it is possible the entire changeover will happen at MSC and current CDMA bts not involved in the upgrade process. While the process of shifting MDN/MSID in msc has started, cdma will not close today or tomorrow. Also the rumors of 3 day blackout in the cdma network is not given by infrastructure department so it might not happen. Subscribers who have not taken 4G upgrade (more than 60% users in Gujarat still on RCDMA) will continue on Reliance for the next two weeks. Before Reliance shuts down it's own CDMA, it will/may/can silently transfer users to MTS for 1X connectivity only. EvDo Rev A/B is not likely post MTS shifting. MTS was using 1X Reliance for voice calls in GJ since many years so this technology usability is not difficult to achieve. Reliance has been changing it's policy quite often during this month. It is also likely RCDMA will continue and 4G will be provided using MTS spectrum. Major factor is the subscribers' willingness to switch over to 4G. Assuming there will be no CDMA within a week but users can still obtain mdn specific port code from Reliance store from their UI. The option to upgrade to 4G from their system is even after total close down. Users can still port out once their 4G sim is operational. Just as Hetal bhai mentioned about CSFB to be used in RCOM 4G, it would have been a wonderful technological breakthrough if it was 1XCSFB as upgrade. CDMA is not a legacy technology, Rcom did not want to invest more in CDMA, they wanted 4G for GSM and with minimal capital investment. The most viable solution given to them was to liberalize CDMA and use the same infrastructure for cheap 4G. Even after shutting down their own CDMA, they can still provide 1XCSFB in MTS states with LTE routed to the new Rcom 4G. Sent from my K016 using Tapatalk
  10. How to use BSNL CDMA RUIM on imported CDMA phones

BSNL CDMA works on any sim based or non-sim cdma handset. The attached prl works in non sim handsets with the below programming. Pri ch A= 279 B=320 (latest prl 7 works on any channels, other prls use 279 for 1x voice and 320 for evdo rev 0) Sec ch B= 384 NID/SID= 14499/65535 MIP type= Simple IP PPP user= cdma, ppp pass= cdma, AAA= cdma BSNL_evdo_1X_no_7.prl BSNL_6.prl BSNL_7_cdmaws.prl
  11. How to use BSNL CDMA RUIM on imported CDMA phones

Information collected from different sources. BSNL CDMA postpaid plans are same as GSM postpaid. It is there on bsnl website. In Gujarat, sim cards are currently available at Karimabad CSC Surat, Fuwara CSC Navsari, CSC Valsad-Vapi, Jail road CSC Vadodara and Satellite CSC Ahmedabad. Do not buy Evdo Sim, ensure it is general ruim. Sent from my K016 using Tapatalk
  12. TATA CDMA Shutting Down?

Reliance CDMA has saved me in time of heaviest floods. That was the last day I used GSM as a secondary number. CDMA may close someday but I am sure Tata Tele will inform us of any change in service or termination. I will be happy to be the last CDMA customer in India. Till then no GSM 4G. 13. TATA CDMA Shutting Down?

To finalize MNP process, went to circle office Tata Docomo today and clarified about it's CDMA closure. They have accepted my family's port applications from Reliance to Indicom. As you all have said, there are different policies for various circles.
  14. How to use BSNL CDMA RUIM on imported CDMA phones

You have perfectly described the exact scenario of a BSNL work-front. I bought my first BSNL cdma ruim and only the first experience was very discouraging. Things changed once I reached GMTD office and spoke to the marketing manager. He himself came to CSC BSNL district office and helped me. He entered sim meid, mapped the new MDN with it's corresponding ESN in Sancharsoft and within minutes of login, my work was done. Ruim value is determined as per their portal. He assured me of getting the service active within four hours from the time of entry in Sancharsoft. After two hours, I verified proof of ownership on 1507 and service was fully live by evening. Dedicated CDMA customer care 1502 is not that bad. Got a Rs 51 recharge to test NIC (1X data in BSNL terminology) from the CSC and data started without any oher FRC. It is unbelievable but a single cell site of BSNL cdma covers a distance of 10 kms. It is week with my first sim and have purchased more than 130 new sims for others and got them activated the same day. Recharge can be done thru Paytm, Freecharge and mobikwik. As I have said in another post, I offer to get new BSNL cdma ruims for anyone who sends documents and photo. We have even done a few MNP from Reliance last week, there is a shortage of blank sims and shall be resumed in a few days. You require to purchase from adjoining areas like Dahanu, Palghar, Karjat, Virar-Vasai etc and use as free incoming on MTNL. MTNL has closed down it's own cdma subscribers but it hosts BSNL customers. But no data it seems.
  15. Reliance CDMA Shutting down

They are still giving new CDMA prepaid and postpaid connections in Gujarat. Some store guys upgrade the new customers to 4G after 24 hours of activation on CDMA. Sent from my K016 using Tapatalk
  16. Reliance CDMA Shutting down

Tata Indicom cse called and said termination date of 15th May 2016 for it's own customers in Ahmedabad city service area. They asked to migrate to GSM Tata DoCoMo. Later I called up customer care and they said no such information given to us.
  17. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

In Gujarat we are getting pre-recorded voice call from RCOM that it is not shutting down CDMA service and do not port to any other carrier and do not follow any rumor. It also mentions that 4G upgrade is optional.
  18. Xt 1528 Vzw moto E might be the first entry level CDMA smartphone from US having fully unlocked band 3, band 5 and band 40 with UE=GSM LTE. It shows all 4G bands active on various websites. Users can test and let us know. Sent from my K016 using Tapatalk
  19. Reliance CDMA Shutting down

If Reliance does injustice to it's oldest loyal customers, that policy is not followed by everyone. I provided an option to those people who do not possess handsets having GSM capabilities and that they would have to bear equipment loss. Topic here is not about EvDo coverage and speed. It is about using them on a compatible CDMA network. A huge capital is involved in the former business and any ray of hope could be beneficial to end users to retailers to importers. The assumed deadline of 31st May 2016 followed by Reliance store personnel leaves the ever satisfied CDMA subscriber in confusion ultimately making a wrong decision in haste and due to lack of information. RCom's 4G fever may come down soon after the newly attracted 4G centric customer faces 2G fallback issues. It is premature to certify complete closure of RCDMA in MTS based circles. Btw a new BSNL CDMA ruim gets fully activated in four hours. We can always port back to RCDMA in a few months (subject to it's survival on another network). Sent from my K016 using Tapatalk
  20. Reliance CDMA Shutting down

For those who still want to hang on to CDMA based handsets can approach nearest BSNL CSC and collect new prepaid/new postpaid or CDMA MNP blank sim cards. BSNL RUIM work on most Sprint/USC/Verizon phones. BSNL has very cheap 1x and evdo plans beneficial for users owning handsets like Tribute, HTC 510, LG Volt2 etc. Tata Indicom also gives out all services and there has not been any public notice of it's closing down. If any Tata Indicom store person refuses to provide MNP sim or prepaid or postpaid, make a call to Tata cc and they will ask the store guys to give. I will provide some assistance to RCDMA subscribers from Gujarat willing to port to any of the above.
  21. Due to a large section of buyers now opting to purchase GSM enabled CDMA device, I add another device for CDMA data provisioning. There are no special requirements to enable CDMA data on VZW G3. Root is not required. This is applicable to those users whose manual APN of #777 does not enable data. 1. From the dialpad, ##PROGRAM985, go to port test, switch it on. Diag mode will be ON. 2. With data enabled SIM inside, using DFS, go to data section and select, evdo_MFPA 3. Enable all the six profiles with omhtest@omh.relianceinfo.com in the MIP section fields and write. 4. May sometimes need to make APN as #777 if data does not start.
  22. OMH CDMA phones available in India market

Because there is a share of QCOM on every CDMA device made by a manufacturer. The carrier has to share with manufacturer. US is the strongest CDMA market in the world with manufacturers abiding to highest quality standards. Other CDMA markets are dominated by Mediatek processors. A chipset architecture many ways inferior to Qualcomm's proprietary Snapdragon family. Also, MTK handsets are regarded as devices for the masses. Even as CDMA technology in India remains on top, people buying off counter are least bothered about the drawbacks of GSM and continue to buy Gionee, Micromax, Lava, Spice and companies I wouldn't know of. Almost all dual sim handsets carry MTK processor, MTK means no performance. You need to flash MTK flasher for upgrading or downgrading a firmware on Indian HTC, China Telecom Samsung handsets. So all those who wouldn't compromise on quality purchases a North American CDMA handset. Sent from my K016 using Tapatalk
  23. [HELP NEEDED] ZTE Speed RUIM Data

Your current SIM may not be activated on a LG basic keypad handset. Try making a new SIM and activate on LG handset only. Can use RGERUC or RECRUC068 series as final resort. Sent from my K016 using Tapatalk
  24. The new Nexus 6 is very easy to program. RGERUC and RECRUC068 work out of the box on this device. Data needs simple steps by DFS. Required:- Latest Motorola BP drivers, DFS Not required:- Root, bootloader unlock 1. Boot the phone into BP tools and select port "diag mdm" with no SIM inside and airplane mode turned on. 2. Make RTRE config to RUIM pref and reboot back to BP tools (can make it RUIM only after programming is complete) 3. Write omhxxx in ppp usr and S1912xxx in ppp password 4. Continue in data section in DFS, HDR SCP force AT config= RevA_MFPA HDR SCP force rel 0= Evdo_RevA Hybrid mode=enable Data MDR HSPD mode= MDR only 5. Insert RGERUC SIM and continue programming 5. Enable all six profiles in MIP section and write omhtestxx in all the six fields with MIP=Mobile IP 6. Reboot and enjoy.
  25. Sprint and Verizon both work. Verizon could be better. Both will support all LTE bands of !dea, Vodafone and Airtel including Jio. Sent from my K016 using Tapatalk
