I got a new MSI Laptop one week back... Its features are It has 12.1" LED screen Core2Duo @ 2.4GHz, 4MB L2 Cache DVD-RW drive Finger print scanner HDMI port 2GB RAM 500GB HDD @ 7200rpm card reader slot GigaBit LAN phone jack VGA port 2 x USB port >3 hours battery life (I experienced, but mentioned as 2 there) all @ JUST 1.8Kg I bought for Rs18.5k (received via BlueDart) after applying Rs1500 OFF coupon from eBay Link is HERE It is working SOLID (with Win7 Ultimate 64bit from seller side) and anyone want review or photos, I am ready to post... It looks somewhat cheap with plastic all around and a bit fatty, but it is more than a LOOT LO offer for a Core2Duo laptop, imho... ----------- Other Electronic things, I bought (via GEB) are PantechBurst (LOCKED) @ Rs7427 (after 10% OFF coupon) and 2 batteries for ZTE FiveSpot (Verizon CDMA/GSM RUIM 3G/EVDO WiFi hotspot) and one battery for AT&T MiFi (3G WiFi hotspot)...

Hitesh ji... How about a Core2Duo laptop for 20k??? But its NOT from the brands you mentioned... Its from MSI and eBay link is here.. I bought it for Rs18.5k after applying Rs1500 off coupon code... Ya... I also feel, radiation norms has nothing to do with this problem, imho... If that is the case, then we may never get EVDO/1x signals at all in most places.. But most problems mentioned here are about less than 1x speed in EVDO..

My friend, for you, me, and few customers with good knowledge about Android ---> the 299$ NO contract Nexus_4 with unlockable (with single command) bootloader >> 199$ Contract Optimus G with LOCKED Encrypted Bootloader... But for the rest of world, 199$ Optimus-G >>> 299$-off-contract Nexus4.. Further reasons like, the lack of SD slot or LTE will make them avoid Nexus 4.. Those people will select Optimus G with hope that since now LG is a Nexus phone maker, they may bring update to their current phones faster.. By that way, LG will make more money.. Earlier, people who prefer LTE + cardslot + Faster Android update, choose Sammy or HTC and NOT LG.. Now they will surely look the options from LG, all due to its recent NexusParty participation. This is what happened to ASUS.. LINK HERE.. They have record sales of Nexus 7 and also much better than expected sales for PadFone series and Transformer series (MORE Profit than Nexus 7) This is the case for developed countries.. See now, LG India is eager to launch Nexus 4 in India.. Till now in India, LG has very very little sales for higher end phones when comparing Sammy, SONY, even NOKIA ;p With the NOT so profitable Nexus-4, LG can atleast gain a small/respectable market share in price-conscious Indian market. {See, Sammy avoided GNexus to reach India, since it will cannibalize its S3 sales and Sammy already has a great market share in India wrt very high end handsets} So even though LG get almost NIL margin in sale of one product, they get BOOSTED brand image + good sales for their higher-end NON-NEXUS phones (with good profit margins) in developed countries, gaining market share in price conscious markets.. So its a Win-Win Game for them, imho...

The main positive point for LG here is people will get some new hope for LG reg Android updates for its phones and as a result ---> More sale of LG Android phones... So a small sacrifice of profit in making LG Nexus-4, brings more and more sweet fruit for them in the long run... Seems like a great business sense, imho - Since LG has very bad reputation reg Android upgrades for their old phones...

Ok.. I forgot to mention, toy phones are also excluded... The phones should either be sooo serious with battery life like RazrMAXX/HD or just should be a play thing like one below to have non-removable battery imho...

Specs are good, but I will skip Nexus4 this year... Not because of LG, NOT because of Storage Capacity, but due to its NON-removable battery.. The only phone in this world, who has the right to have non-removable battery is RazrMAXX/HD and no one else, imho...

This wont work, because the app will only block SMS from particular numbers The spam I am receiving is from 'LMxxxxxx" or "DMxxxxxx" or similar. They dont have any number and we cant even reply SMS to these senders. Sorry, I didnt understand this part. This app, afaik sends the COMPLAINT SMS to your operator (it has SMS format and number to send for all Indian operators of all circles and gets updated for changes made in any one's system) instead of you in the format specified by SUJIT KUMAR specified above.. After that, the sender will be blocked under SPAM by all operators especially to DND customers... I have done for 2 such cases..

You can report them using "India against SPAM" FREE app from PlayStore... It will be blocked for all DND customers later... Link HERE

The main reason to check this combination (Tab + dumbphone) is the relatively SMALL battery life of modern smartphones... With my RazrMAXX, that issue is also gone... I can NEVER go back to dumbphones...

Chennai has Ford Mfg unit also.. So why are you worrying about service (even RARE parts availability is NOT going to be an issue) ? Even here in Madurai, Ford service is good..

Yes... I agree, though looking fancy and having many new features, ICS lags like hel1, even in my RazrMAXX, let alone Sony Walkman Live... But JB ROCKS simply... My GNexus is jet fast comparing MAXX, though both are using almost same CPU/GPU/RAM combination... I will proclaim that "JB is just ICS in Steroids"... Infact JB is the reason, I bought GNexus... In short, wrt features/performance, JB > GB >> ICS...

I expect Motorola giving LAME excuses for NOT updating OG Razr, RazrMAXX, Bionic, Droid4 to JB in 2013, just like they did for ICS update of Photon and Atrix... BTW Atrix2 was missing already in this list...

But Videocon licenses are also in dispute right.. Whether Videocon is participating in 2G auction???

^^^^^ Rajan ji... That rumored Galaxy_Nexus2 I9260 turned out to be just Galaxy_Premier and NOT a Nexus one... Samsung is said to be releasing 10.1" NexusTab in 2013 and I think that will be the ONLY part of Samsung in this Nexi program, imho.. The 5" 1080p screened HTC DLX also turned out to be Verizon one and may NOT be a Nexus one or simply there is not much infos to support it as Nexus device (except the on screen keys or it may be only LTE_Nexus as LG has just HSPA+ and NO LTE)... Still now only LG Nexus4 is confirmed to be a new Nexus device... But it has small/non-removable battery (my GNexus battery su(ks, but its atleast removable) and said to be coming with ONLY 8GB memory and NO SD slot (Final version may have 16GB as GNexus -- Hope and nothing else).. SONY ODIN may come as Nexus, but still rumors are NOT strong enough (only one photo released and that may be a Photoshop fake by an EXPERT)... So for CDMA its GNote2 vs HTC DLX (5" 1080p)... Difference between 440ppi and 330dpi are NOT much for most human eyes, imho (GNote2 has 270 something ppi, but still better than 300+ppi Pentile of S3/GNexus)... Further it will strain the non-removable battery by HTC... So selecting 3100mAh removable battery equipped Note2 is NOT a bad choice for now, imho... Ofcourse its anyway better to wait and watch... Chances are also there Google is much more successful in limiting the Nexus leak this time and comes with more devices and cater Nexus to every budget... But still then, GNote2 (with JB now) will never become a bad choice, imho...

Joshm, are you sure about the screen quality??? It is that PentileLCD (1000times more horrible than LCD or Pentile AMOLED, imho) that made me switch from Photon to CapGlide in two months... Even though its a well known fact that almost all Moto phones' camera are cr@ppy, the screen makes the pics captured by camera WORSE than say a pic taken by NokiaC2-00 VGA camera... (Yes, the Photon camera pics looks OK on computer screen though).. If you watch video of 720p song on both Photon and Fascinate side by side, you will then agree my complaints...

This is the first time I have seen both coolpad and quality both coming in a single sentence...
