ssr, How is your signal strength ? (I am in Bangalore too) I get 75% bars, but sometimes it drops to 50%, keeps fluctuating. Also, what basedband are you using Lollipop / Kitkat / JellyBean ?

^ Can you please elaborate on the "RGE series won't work on LS980" statement ? Is this confirmed ? I have a RGERU series sim, I have completed all the steps, but my device is not detecting the network. (I had used a RCDMA sim earlier, and it used to work fine)

I did not mean to offend.....the G2 I saw had only 1/4 bar for the GSM H+ signal, where as my tab had all bars just beside on Airtel in the same location. So just wanted to know if you encountered any such issues.

^ Have you tested LS980 with 3G of a GSM network ? I found that LS980 supports only the 2100 band for WCDMA - meaning 3G signal will be very low if not zero most of the time. Can you please confirm ?

Hey...anybody here having signal drop issues on their LS980s ? Signal continuously fluctuates on G2s I saw with a guy. Happens on both GSM and CDMA and on two separate devices. So I guess its not a hardware issue..... Tried 2 different networks, Reliance & Airtel, happening on both.

@VA Name of the seller and some proof please....That would be great news. But as far as I know...there is no known method to get the Sprint iPhone 5(c/S) working with any network other than Sprint.

^ What you said has been true I agree....but the newer 4G networks coming up in US, requires GSM bands to work, so from now on most mid ragne phones of even CDMA networks will support GSM bands. Eg: S4, G2, One, Note 3 etc Any chance of import duty reducing in this budget ? There policy on used items is quite vague...some people say they have no problems, others say their packages have been detained. -

My logic was based on the idea - now that unlocking is not illegal, lot more people will buy them within the US, this may drive up the price of bad esn devices. Earlier - Sprint & Verizon devices used to be CDMA exclusive, but now that they are trying to adopt 4G - they need to support sim slots and gsm networks - making them compatiable with TMobile and AT&T - this has also led to increase in prices... -
