Samsung Corby Speed CDMA Launched

The reason I asked for clarification is because I read 2-3 articles about the launch of the phone but not even in one article was it mentioned that it was a CDMA phomne. And also the link given in one of the websites was the link to the samsung GSM phones. Was a little confused

by more cellphones do you mean other corby models, like corby pro or corby plus ?

u would get these handset available in all stores in Mumbai

the information till now is Samsung gonna launch all handsets in OMH only and same for these but still check with the dealer

and about more launches still not confirmed but in all next month 20 handsets are to be launched by samsung out of which 3 to 5 would be in CDMA versions....no confirmations which one..

Camera is average but i am not right person who can check it.

Music is Fantastic, FM Radio is too.

Even Basic Ear buds are good. Any 3.5 inch Ear Phones can be used with Samsung MIC connector so Music

whoa!! at last a phone with call recording. I am going for this one!!!

Hetal, could you please confirm whether all incoming and outgoing calls are recorded automatically without any beeps. and how is the recorded voice clarity, which format etc?

By report of Hetel i think corby rocks on CDMA, all feature included.

can any one give good report about Camera quality.

Or any one can send me photo taken by it and i will give details technical report on it.

Tata Indicom Launches Samsung Corby CDMA Mobile Phone :clap: :clap:

Tata Indicom, the CDMA mobile service brand of Tata Teleservices today announced ground breaking CDMA handset with the launch of its 1st high speed data enabled CDMA mobile device Samsung Corby. The new CDMA device Samsung Corby,is the first high end open market handset that will be available to all Tata Indicom customers across India .The Samsung Corby CDMA will allow both prepaid and postpaid subscribers to access high speed data on the fly.Announcing the Samsung Corby CDMA with Photon + – High speed broadband services platform for Tata Indicom, Mr. Lloyd Mathias, Chief Marketing Officer, Tata Teleservices Limited, said “these are good and exciting times for Tata Indicom subscribers where they enjoy the status of having a high end phone. Earlier this year when we announced our Open market handset initiative, we had promised that we will soon offer high end mobile devices that supports both voice and data and our partnership with Samsung is the first step in this direction.

This new year Tata Indicom subscribers will have a reason to smile! Both prepaid and postpaid users can now access their personal mail accounts, social networking sites, download various chat accounts and do much more with the phone. Using prepaid recharge vouchers subscribers can now access internet anytime anywhere with recharge option of as low as Rs 28. There are 3 different recharge denominations Rs 28 will allow customers to access internet at flat 50 paise per MB throughout the day. While RCV 152 offers price point of 50 paise per MB from 7.00 AM to 11.00 PM and a special night surfing plan of 25 paise per MB from 11.00 PM to 7.00 AM. A very aggressive RCV of 351 will offer data surfing flat at just 25 paisa per MB throughout the day. The recharge validity is 30 days from the day of recharge.

Tata Indicom Postpaid subscribers can also avail free trial usage of 10GB each for the first 2 months. Post consumption of the free trial period postpaid customers will be charged 50 paise per MB for any additional data usage.

On a rental plan of Samsung Corby 450 plan, customers will get bundled usage of 512 MB post which the customers will be charged 50 paise per MB. What’s more postpaid customers will also get aggressive voice plan where all local calls to any network will be charged at 30 paisa per minute, whereas all STD and roaming calls will be charged at only 50 paise per minute. All local and National SMS will be charged at just 50 paise per SMS.

Tata Indicoms existing CDMA prepaid subscribers also have an option to upgrade to Samsung Corby without using any recharge vouchers. Even without using the data Recharges, prepaid subscribers will be charged Rs 1 for every MB data usage

This Corby Speed is an OMH, which means the CDMA phone can work with any of existing CDMA operators who support OMH SIM cards. The handset has a 2.8-inch touchscreen display, SNS support, 2MP camera, 80MB internal memory, microSD card slot, music player, FM Radio and comes in three color options – White, Black and Yellow. It will sell for Rs. 10,400.

Is OMH RUIM easily available for Reliance?

And what data access is it getting on Reliance with the OMH RUIM?

1x or EVDO (seems some particular BB handset is getting EVDO data access)
