@ Vishal,

Video calling cant be through till evdo is activated. Time to start dreaming about evdo on htc phones.

So the video calling is linked to network and wifi like iphone 4.

@ Vishal,

I suppose only network and not wifi as Skype for mobile doesnt allow you to share your videos.

Skype on my iphone 3G is ready with video. I don't have a camera so cannot test it.

@praful thanks man..im not sure whether this is india's first htc evo which i have but may be its first phone on rimweb..so im not sure so i just put the title of this topic as 1st htc evo 4g on rimweb...anyways it doesnt matter ..we are here to share everything related to phones so enjoy

skype with video will work on wifi on HTC EVO.

Even I know can will work, but only if Skype lets you access your front camera.

here is the video which shows that we can do video chat using qik application which is inbuilt application on the sprint htc evo on WIFI..im not sure whether we can video chat using skype on wifi but on QIK yes ofcourse..if 2 people have same phone (htc evo or incredible with qik applcation on them) then we cant

video chat using wifi connection...here is the video ..take a look at it...

scorpionking.9000 and Sumit, there are quite a few reports on the net of the glass separation on the HTC Evo. Have you by any chance noticed this on your phones ? Hoping that's not the case. Expecting my Evo hopefully by next week and it will be a real disappointment to find this defect.

i didnt see any sort of glass seperation

what i did notice was leaking of blue light from the micro usb and hdmi outs but that no has functionality defect

In my opinion, video conferencing can be said to be practical on a phone only if the service provider supports it; otherwise I dont see any sense doing that over wifi which is limited to within premises or very few hotspots, as better options exists... I would love to see the day when we would be video conferencing over Reliance network...
