it seems one or some of their DNS servers are not working. check the trace-route results below

while the issue was there:

Which number did you call for CC and what did you explain them your problem as? When i try calling them they keep on saying Motorola is not a evdo enabled handset :-(

I think the issue solved now . FOr the past 48 hours I am using EVDO without any glitch. I think some server related issue with them. not with the luck of customer care person we choose. I have complained 4 times i got it solved just 1 hour after giving the last complaint. But they called me after a 24 hour later to confrim my issue solved or not. One rimweb member told their server is shfiting from ANdra to Mumbai thats the reason for this. any way now i am enjoying EVDO.

EVDO speeds can also be attributed to the modem that your phone is programmed with.. I decided to flash a Nexus modem on my Epic and found a speed boost of 10-15%

To all

Those who are facing issue related to evdo need to call customer care... its a problem from back end...

I was facing this issue since last 10-15 days.. when i shifted to another device and requested for evdo and i'm done...

Enjoying the same speed again

Check whether any setting in the phone is doing so for example to save battery as evdo is a charge guzzler..

Even the modem programmed on your device is responsible for Evdo speeds.. I flashed a Nexus modem on my Epic 4G and saw a surge of 15-20% in evdo speed from the same location..

Check xda for installable modems corresponding to your device.. I guess each official firmware has a new modem so even an old modem could give you better coverage and speed..

Seems like reliance data(1x & EVDO) services have stopped working since yesterday evening in North Delhi region. Don't know the reason why?

Anyone can confirm it?

I've filed a complaint with customer care. They asked me for my handset model (I said Samsung Galaxy i500) and it's RSN number and said that my complaint will be resolved within 2 days.

Hope they could help.

I all have to agree the data as well as voice services are pretty messed in north regeion of Delhi.

I am constantly losing data from 3g to 1x at home.

Already lodged a complaint and getting updates that the issue is being looked at by technical deptt.

They have accepted that there is some problem

Neither 1X nor 3G symbols are shown on the Notification Bar.
Voice calls and SMS are working perfectly fine. Its only the Internet it cannot connect to.
I use my MDN to connect, (not RWorld username/pswd). Yesterday I filed a complaint to Reliance CC and they said that they will solve my problem in 2 days.
But credibility of Reliance CC has always been in doubt.

My phone (Epic 4G) is on People's Rom V 2.22, (Gingerbread 2.3.6)
PRL: 10005
Modem/Baseband: FC09

Is there a problem from back end or with my handset?

I tried making a Dialup connection on my Windows 7 laptop.
Dial: #777
Username: (My phone number)
Password: (Same as above)

The error message shown is: "Error 678: The remote computer did not respond. To make sure that the server can be reached. ping the remote computer"

Update: I went to different locations in Delhi. Also went to Gurgaon. But my net still didn't work (neither 1x nor EVDO).
So problem seems to be with my handset. Don't know what could have gone wrong! At one moment it was working fine, next moment it stopped working. Should i visit reliance web world? Can they solve my problem?

Sir...From past 2-3 weeks I am also facing the same issue on my HTC! I got the recharge of Rs.94/- (MH Circle) which gives 1 GB Data + 100 Daily SMSs per month for 6 Months. I haven't used the data much and just for WhatsApp and GMail. It worked fine in the beginning but I never saw '1x' and only '3G'. After that it stopped working. I lodged several complaints but all in vain. Any suggestions?

Another issue now I see is when I checked my settings thru QPST Service programming...

Under PPP Config tab UM > User ID: (my phone number)

AN > User ID: (my phone number) .... previously i remember it used to be my HDR Username/Password.

But now there is only my Phone number.

Gurus of Rimweb! Kindly please help if you can!

Edit: Flashed my old PPP dump file. Now settings seems fine. Now my HDR username is displayed under PPP config>AN tab. But my 1x/EVDO is still not working. :(

Just now I came back from Reliance Web World. The guy who was sitting on the desk recognized the handset.

he checked about my number in his system, and showed me that Intenrnet is Active on my number.

He ruled out any problem at reliance's end. he said that the problem is basically in the handset and not with Reliance's Network.

:(

Got a phone from Reliance Technical dept.(Mumbai). First that person thought I had problem with GSM settings, when I told him that I am using Imported CDMA handset, then he said that there might be something wrong with the handset programming. :( Everything is okay at his end.

Settings>About Phone> Status> Mobile Network State ... "Disconnected" :(

I dont understand what could possibly be wrong in my handset settings. One moment it was working perfectly fine, other moment Internet is gone.

Now i officially need some help with it.

:(
