I agree with VA.

No point buying a Used phone when you can get a brand new one,

And the price difference will not be much upon completion of this auction.

hey all,

today i went to CARGO COMPLEX(Customs),Mumbai for my packages detained in Customs by DHL,

they told me not to import USED phones as its banned by customs, the reason for that is:

INDIA IS NOT A DUMPING GROUND

Question :- which Moto G to purchase,

1) USC

2) boost

3) Verizon

Answer :- buy which ever is cheaper!

But I prefer boost version, only due to ability to Unlock bootloader, custom recover etc

tapatalking.....

Yes, if you want root then go for boost version

Will I be able to put vanilla KitKat in boost Moto g and still use in rcdma? So its like the Google play edition of Moto g. I read though that there isn't much changes done by Motorola on the ui front.

Kapil,

Note: hey buddy nothing against you but against double standard policies. pls dont take it personally.

you should have told that custom officer

"then why not charge Ewaste triple custom duty if he is really concern about the India as Dumping ground", as per my understanding they might be loosing revenue on used items import (i am not sure i am not expert on custom duty).

why Iphone 4 is relaunched in India again i think there were reports of those being refurbished and send to asian region.

India is already suffering from Ewaste trade. just look @ the following links

these links might be old but ground reality is same

Sorry friends for taking it out of thread back to awsome moto g :P who will want used when you get new at few rupees more.

regards

vaibhav

Seems Moto G is already started to have issues many complaints of sim not recognized or camera error after kitkat upgrade.Any of our members who got Moto G facing this issue. If this is an issue with all Moto G mobiles i am sure they will rectify it but sure does create doubts of prospective buyers about Motorola for sure.

Koramangala area signals are ok, around 80% , data upto 1 mbps.

Mejestic area is pathetic 30-40% Max, data upto 256 kbps

And inside city railway station, 10-25% network , data mostly on 1x.

I have not visited other area so can't say much, but average 60-70% signal and 200 to 700 kbps data

But it's not related with Moto g ,with htc or any other handset it is same.

tapatalking.....

USB tethering always possible using PdaNet+, but WiFi tethering not possible on KitKat without root afaik. For 4.3 Wifi tethering may be possible, I guess using FoxFi...
