A MINI REVIEW FOR HTC HERO OK fellows i got my hero few days back , decided to write a small review for people who want to know a bit about this handset 1) Built the built quality of this handset is amazing its light weight , as compared to touch pro , touchpro 2 and palm pre its solid candybar form factor and matt finish on back cover give it a solid grip no creaks or squeaks the trackball is slightly raised but nonetheless is bigger in size and very comfortable to use the 4 keys ( menu. back. home .search ) are flushed with surface , though tactile enough but still i have my concerns over long term use There is an ambient light sensor and an led indicator for notifications 2) Screen the screen is gorgeous 3.2 inch 320x480 resolution its sharp and looks awesome its capacitance which means using it is much easier and smooth as compared to ur windows devices which needed stylus every now and then 3) ANDROID This phone runs android 1.5 cupcake , but soon in few days eclair is gonna be out there are 7 homecsreens loaded with beautiful widgets all goodies of android is there full google services ( gmail, gtalk,google voice ) One plus point in sprint hero is that there is support for yahoo mail ( free ) on non sprint networks which wasnt there on other handsets 4) Battery the phone comes with 1500mah battery even with heavy usage ( data on ) shud go for 1.5/2 days and without data will last for 2 3 days overall a satisfied battery life 5) Performance performance wise hero is fast its faster than gsm version of hero call quality is good Also the irritating area notifications occur less frequently than in other phones no network issues 6) Data connectivity there is a full 1x capability of hero on reliance u get push gmail ,gtalk there is wifi on board though i have always seen that wifi sensitivity of android devices is less 7) Multimedia & Camera htc hero comes with 3.5mm adapter which means u can plug in ur favourite headsets the audio quality is good enough CAMERA IS 5MP lol , did we think we wud be using 5mp device on reliance ....hell ya the camera lacks flash , so that means night time its a no no but overall the camera clearity is good in day light or in proeprly lit places pretty satisfactory pics in daytime 8) GPS it comes with agps support , quick satellite locks in 1-5 mins u have got google maps to use with it if u need offline navigation u can use the s/ws NDRIVE &SYGIC which i have posted on this forum 9) Hacks since its android so its open to lot of hacks u can install lot of cracked apps watch for my new posts in next few days i will be posting lot of cracked apps also u can load custom roms without any hassles ON A NOTE I WOULD LIKE TO WRITE ABOUT THE ONSCREEN KEYBAORD FOR TYPING since its complete touch device yping would be an issue but not in hero u have smooth typing experince on hero u can use the keyboard in both protrait and landscape mode SOME COMPARISON SHOTS WITH OTHER PHONES

Dear friend may be its not new for most of memeber,but might be useful for lots of.today when i was searching for my PNR status i saw on i site the cheapest way to know our PNT status... Send PNR to 09773300000 and get immediate reply of full detail... it will charged for a simple sms(which is almostly free for reliance User) just try and enjoy fast ,cheap and trusty way..

Some good and some BAD reports - 1. Found very good option for editing my txt files (thats my alternative to notes for wm) - called simply textedit; download from Market... Also has a full fledge notes application inbuilt... 2. Very good File manager (explorer) - Linda (what a sexy name) File manger.... Now the bad parts- 1. There is some issue with bluetooth transfer of files aka iphone... I have searched a solution; will test it and post soon... it shud be solved; wireless hansfree etc. is perfect... 2. The default IM is not signing into yahoo and windows live messenger due to blockage issues with those respective companies... (LOL - They hate Google)... There are however lots of 3rd party softwares which enable you to log in... will post some good ones soon... And there are 20000+ applications available in market.... main to dhoondte dhhondte thak gaya hoon... lol...

Box containes: 1 Handset 1 Battery 1 2GB micro sd card free (inserted inside the handset) 1 Charger 1 Mic 1 Headphone 1 USB Cable 2 extra fashion jackets 1 leather pouch 1 Manual 2 Samsung PC suite CD (usb driver and manuals in first, and pc suite in second disk) 1) I hated the thing that there is only one connector in this mobile which is used to connect USB cable, Charger and Headphone... So only one thing can be used at time i suppose.. 2) Sound quality is so-so... i m comparing it with my x-phone nokia 6110 Navigator 3) Ringtone quality (when phone rings) is worst.. It feels like a cheap 3K-4K mobile is ringing 4) Camera quality is good (compared to 2MP camera of 6110 Navigator) even it is not having flash.. 5) Mic and headset are supplied as two attachments.. I didnt liked this. Mic should be inbuilt in the headset cable. Whats the point of having a cable which carries only mic, and another cable carrying only headphone.. and then connect them both together... 6) Touch screen is fast and responsive... But overall phone speed is ok-ok... Music player takes time to load.. 7) It is java enabled, and i installed few applications on it. But the problem is the application should be touch screen compatible. I loaded few apps in which no virtual keypad popped out, and i was not able to type anything and finally have to quite the app and uninstall it... 8) Contact managment (phonebook) is awsome... Can create groups, can send a single message to whole group (group sending). can also deselect few contacts from group to which u dont want to send sms ... 9) Hinglish dictionary is available when writing messages, also keypad can be either standard, qwerty or handwriting recognition.. But i personally liked the standard keypad coz qwerty keypad takes lot of space and thus the size of individual key is reduced. and it gets very hard to press the correct key 10) Calendar is having all the hindu festivals pre-marked.. (can see on which diwali falls next year...) 11) other things like, memo, calculator, convertor, alarm, schedular etc are just the normal ones we see on many mobile phones... This was the first time i wrote such a long review about a mobile, so did many foolish mistakes. i apologise for the same.. Will send more notes very soon as i get some more time to explore the mobile... Thanx a lot....
