4 pointsIndian Railways Launches New Online Reservation Website Railways have launched the new online reservation website here >> https://www.indianra...lIndexPage.seam From Passenger Services, Select E Ticketing.. Register As A NEW User.. It takes time to receive Validation E Mail & Security Code on Mobile.. It took me 2 Hours.. Be Patient.. Reasons Why this is launched.. Website run by IRCTC at www.irctc.co.in was heavily overloaded particularly in the morning when TATKAL windows opens. Normal user could not never buy Tatkal tickets as within minutes all will be sold out. There were huge complaints from passengers regarding this. Railways found out that agents had multiple accounts on that site and used to corner tickets and later sell it for a higher premium. Last month, in two clean up exercises, nearly a million accounts were blocked from IRCTC reservation site. So What's Different on New Reservation Website: Both this new site & IRCTC Site will function in parallel. On this new site, Railway booking agents are banned from registering. A user can book 8 times in a month. Registration process more stringent with Email & Mobile Verification. The Service Charges on this new site is lower compared to IRCTC. Only Rs 5 for normal sleeper class tickets. Even on AC Class it is Half compared to existing. There is a proposed new facility where your booked tickets will be SMS'ed on your registered mobile. You don't need to take print out. The ticket on Mobile with carried Identity proof will be valid.

1 point<< This service is not active anymore, so requests will NOT be accepted now. Please check: >> Ok guys... Now we are available here on RIMweb.in to provide the EVDO activation to Aam Admi who are unable to get it through the Reliance Contact Centre and/or Reliance Outlets. Following are the rules and regulations:- 1. EVDO Activation Request will be processed only for RIMweb.in Registered members having more than 10 posts. 2. Members need to send an email from the email address registered with your RIMweb.in profile with the following details to: evdo@rimweb.com or evdo@rimweb.in (please send to either one only and not both!!) RIMweb.in member username (this is the forum registration member profile username so that we can check your post count and NOT your full name) MDN - 10 Digit Number RSN - RSN Number of the handset/OMH Sim Card Handset - with model # Alternate Contact Number - Any Alternate Mobile Number to which a confirmatory call shall come from Mumbai Reliance Headquarters for EVDO Confirmation. 3. After sending the email the member will receive a confirmation email within the next 7 days. Members cannot make any irate demands for the activation of EVDO. We shall pick up the numbers once in a week for activation and the member should understand that it may take upto 10 days; though we will be trying to activate in 2-3 working days normally. 4. This activation procedure is meant for members who have purchased an EVDO handset along with OMH Sim Card (like Samsumg Galaxy POP, Corby, SCH 369, SCH 239, LG 510 Cookie, LG 235 etc.) from Reliance for which the EVDO parameters are already registered in OMH Sim Card with Reliance. The number/connection of the member should be on either an OMH SIM Card or a Non Sim handset which is having EVDO Facility and whose EVDO Parameters are also registered with Reliance. 5. An SMS will arrive on the member's handset regarding a request being registered at a Reliance Outlet and asking for overall experience. Member needs to either reply with "YES" or leave it. Please DO NOT reply with "NO". If we get a "NO" SMS from any member, then this project for EVDO Activation shall be closed immediately. And after getting EVDO Activated, Memeber may confirm us by posting here in this thread. Regards Amit Jain -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please Read This: How is EVDO activated on Reliance CDMA? There are two steps for EVDO Activation First, the parameters of EVDO should be registered for the handset in Reliance Server. In case of OMH SIM Card and Official Reliance BlackBerry having EVDO (BlackBerry 9630, 9650, 9230, Style etc.) and Official Reliance Non SIM EVDO Handsets (Like - Samsung Atlas, Coolpad N900), the parameters are already registered with Reliance. And in case of Imported handsets, you need to check whether your EVDO parameters are registered with Reliance or not. We are NOT here for REGISTERING THE EVDO PARAMATERS of imported handsets. Second step is after your EVDO Paramters are available in Reliance Server, EVDO won't start automatically. We have to submit request for EVDO; WE ARE HERE DOING THIS WORK ONLY in this thread. We have seen many members asking for help to do this as Customer Care is clueless about it and that is why we are helping here. Additional Notes: * Making EVDO work on imported handset requires programming the handset with necessary HSD PRL's, HSD username and password in addition to the handset parameters being registered in Reliance Servers. That is outside the scope of this initiative. You may contact your handset seller for necessary assistance to register EVDO parameters at Reliance and configure in your handset if your handset's MEID/ESN is registered with Reliance. * We can activate EVDO on BlackBerry handsets only if you have active BIS Service (CDMA) on the handset. In Case of BlackBerry handsets, member will not get any Service Request SMS. We will get EVDO activated on BlackBerry handsets directly from AAA Phongen Team. * To configure handset like Samsung Galaxy POP CDMA: Go to Setting > Wireless > Mobile Network > APN > Add new APN > Username = MDN (10 digit number) Password = MDN (10 digit number) Homepage – www.google.com Save it and then select it as default. You can use now as per your NetConnect Traiff plan You can change NetConnect plans by calling: 180030005555 All data plans available for Reliance Mobile CDMA can be found in this topic plan details.doc plan details_smaller_file.pdf

1 pointNice Info.. +1 Lamington Road in Mumbai alongwith Nehru Place in Delhi are India's best Computer bazaars. Haven't been to Nehru Place.. But whenever i visited Sim Lim Square in Singapore & Computer Market in Hongkong, always wondered how the hell they cram so much at one place. Variety, price, choices, latest gizmos at single place simply takes your breath away. And both are Single City Countries with population in only millions!! When will we have such places in India for a 1 Billion country?

I created an account and did a recharge of Tata Sky for 450/- and paid 382/-. It worked. Then tried it again with same account, same phone number and same DTH id. It said "Sorry promo code already consumed." Tried it again with different account, different phone number and same DTH id and "it worked" So, I paid 764/- and got a recharge of 900/-.

1 pointhttp://www.google.com/mobile/default/sync.html With Inputs from my dear friend Hetal, who has guided me, I started using Google Sync to synchronise my Mogul's contacts and calendar to Gmail Contacts and Calendar and surprisingly found it to be quite simple, superfast and now it seems I will be tension free in the future. This guide can be used with all Windows Mobile 6.1 devices. So I would like to share with you its detailed procedure- A) First of all backup all your data by PIM Backup to your memory card (method and program download already detailed in my Sprint original rom post; click link in my signature) including all your contacts, tasks, messages, emails, custom files, call records etc. as they might get deleted when you delete your existing activesync partnerships. B ) Next, open activesync from Start-Programs, in your phone, and check whether you have any existing partnerships with any PC's; Click Menu-Options- and Delete any existing settings on your PC/PC's; NOTE- at this stage your contacts, calendar enteries and tasks may get deleted hence DONT PANIC as you have already taken their backup through PIMBackup; if you have never used activesync, go straight to point D) C) Next, check whether your contacts/calendar/tasks are intact or deleted; if deleted, RESTORE them by running PIMBackup; After restore RECHECK all your contacts and calendar etc. to ensure that they have been restored back successfully; now wait for 5 minutes to let any running processes complete and then reset your phone; On successful reboot, recheck whether your contacts etc, are all OK; D) Now open your Gmail a/c on PC, Click on Contacts; click select all; and then Click on Group; Click on New Group; Type Gmail (or any other name) in that; Again Select All and Remove those from My Contact Group, so they should be only in Gmail Group; Now if you Click My Contacts nothing should be shown but if u click Gmail every thing old should be shown; YOU CAN SKIP THIS STEP if you wish as you may have to recreate Gtalk relationships, if you remove them from; however it worked for me; E) Next, run activesync from phone once again; Now you will see a different login page and you will see an option with a link saying - Set up your device to sync with it. Click it; Next it will ask for your email address - enter your gmail address; Uncheck - Attempt to detect exchange server settings automatically; F) Next it will ask server address; enter - m.google.com and SSL should be ticked; Next it will ask username, password, domain; youremailaddress@gmail.com, Password = password, Domain = BLANK nothing, Save Password = Ticked, Edit Server Setting = Only Contacts and Calendar; On advanced, there are some options like replace item on device etc.; dont change it and keep it on that; Next Click-Finish (Remember - Replace ITEM On Device should be Selected; Gmail should be kept prime) G) Next It will be trying to connect by netconnect, let it connect; It will say, synchronising... let it synchronise fully; In the end you may get error that sync failed, DONT PANIC; close active sync fully and reset your phone and after reboot sync again; it will be successful next time, surely... H) After successful sync; change settings to manual by opening activesync in phone, click Menu-Schedule- and change Sync During to Manually in both Peak times and Off-peak times; Now you will manually be able to control when you want to sync; and VOILA like magic all your contacts and calendar will be on the net for free and that too in your Gmail Account for ever without fearing of any crashes on your PC; also always take PIMBackup for extra security; Now forth there is no need to backup anymore to your PC through Activesync and Outlook and through any cables as it can be done anytime, anywhere, over the air, without the need of any PC... Enjoy....
