1 pointApart from raw specs comparision, I would like to point out few positive points of MediaTek-Quad SoC used in Canvas_HD 1) Like Snapdragon S4 series its made using 28nm process and said to be even power-efficient Snap_S4 DualKrait 2) It NOT only has integrated chip, but also 42Mbps HSPA+ modem inbuilt 3) Plus NATIVE DualSIM with Dual_ACTIVE support 4) Not only Supports FullHD 1080p playback and recording @ 30fps, but also can handle 1080p screens 5) Integrated 4-in-1 connectivity combo WiFi-n, BT 4.0, GPS and FM Radio 6) Also supports 13MPx and/or 3D camera Source: ENGADGET Though it slightly loses to all QuadCore mobile processors (Tegra3, S4_Pro, Exynos_Quad), it beats all in power effeciency and price. Further IMHO, the real life MAX performance mile-stone is playing 1080p videos without breaking sweat (imho we can't load the phone more than that in real life [exc ofcourse gaming] and benchmarks are just for bragging rights) and this does it easily... 5" IPS LCD screen will be good for viewing videos (FullHD) and browsing. DualSIM is a great plus. I do hope carrying this huge single phone is better than carrying two mid-size phones (GNexus + RazrMAXX in my case). So its a loot for Rs14999/- (even if you need to sacrifice about after sale service as its Micromax)... I will use it for 3 months and will give it to my mom (as 5" screen is good for her eyes).

1 pointAstalavista, I saw your PM and was going to suggest you to try changing NV item 39939 to all zeros like above. Sorry to hear that this didn't work with your LG Revolution. Does anyone else on here have EVDO working on the LG Revolution?

1 pointA Labrador is the best suited breed for 1st time dog keepers as it is the most sociable and family dog. Golden Retrievers have long hair and require lots of constant maintenance to keep it healthy. - Scourge the local newspapers for KCI registered pups for sale. Lots are available in Delhi though I have seen more and more people getting reluctant to get their dogs KCI registered. - There is no price for a good dog but by large a pure bred Labrador should be available in the price range of 6-10K. Same for a Golden Retriever (upto 15k) - The nose of a healthy dog should be cold and moist. This is the 1st sign of a healthy dog. Also check its playfulness and activity of the pup and its parents too. You can judge character of the pup by seeing how its parents behave. - Ask for KCI registration certificate at the time of purchase. - The pup should not be less than 6 weeks at the time of purchase. Till then it requires it's mother's milk. - Lift to see all its (small) teeth and genitals. Also check its paws and tail. - Get them vaccinated for Rabies and also a 7 in 1 vaccine for various diseases as per schedule after purchase. Contact any local vet in your area for these or best any ex-army vet if available. They are the best. - Feed small pups with cooked Daliya mixed with raw egg and warm milk every day till it grows to digest solid food. Then normal food that you eat can be give to the dog too. Do not rely on costly supplements alone. These are all marketing gimmicks by these companies. Avoid salt, potatoes and raw starch with dogs. Also dont feed them raw vegetables and green vegetables. Milk, Eggs, Roti, Dal, Minced Meat, Bony Meat and similar is the best diet for them. - Deworm your dog with Albendazole 400mg tablet every 3 months. - Training can be done in-house if you have time or through professionals. - Potty and Susu training is must in beginning and dog must be scolded if it does that in the house initially. It must be trained to do in proper area designated in your house like I have trained all my dogs. I don't take them out of the house for this purpose but you can if someone is living in a small house/flat without proper area for its daily urges. Once a dog lover, always a dog keeper. I have now been keeping dogs constantly in my house for 40 years and I always keep them in a pair for their long life. Sterilize them to avoid regular breeding, if necessary. My current pair -

1 pointI know many dont want to root the phone but want to have complete backup of their app+data and here is a guide how it can be done: We will see how you can take backup of Android apps along with their associated data and settings without rooting your phone. Those of you who are not running a rooted Android OS and are looking for ways to take backup of saved game content, this tool can help you with that. I am not sure about the fact, but I think that the tool only works for Android devices running Ice Cream Sandwich and above. Still you can try it out on the Ginger Bread devices and let us know if it worked. Of course, you should proceed with caution and only proceed if you are sure because we aren’t responsible if you brick your phone in the process. Note: The tool requires Android SDK to be installed on your computer and if you don’t already have it, you can refer to this article (the first two steps) to install and configure it. Taking a BackupStep 1: Download the latest build on the Ultimate Backup Tool from XDA Developers Site and extract all the contents to a folder. It’s not necessary that you make a folder in the path where you have installed ADB. The tool will automatically detect it on your computer, if it’s installed. Step 2: Turn on USB Debugging on your Android phone and connect it to the computer using the data cable. You can find the option to turn on USB debugging in Android Settings—>Developer options. Check the option and close it. Step 3: Now run the UBT (Ultimate Backup Tool) batch file from the folder you extracted the tool. UTB runs in command line mode and if it detects both: the ADB and the connected device, it will load up after completing initial checks. If the tool fails to load, there might be some problems with your ADB drivers or USB Debugging mode which you will have to check. Step 4: After the tool loads up, the first thing you will have to do is configure the backup directory. The default directory that the tool uses is C:\backup and the best thing to do would be to keep it as it is. Having done that, you will see many backup options that it provides and each of them will have a number associated with it. If you would like to backup all the apps along with its associated data, select the option 4 and press Enter. Step 5: The tool will start the backup process and prompt you to confirm the same on your phone. You can provide an optional encryption password before taking the backup. After the tool completes the backup process, you will get a confirmation dialog box notifying you about the same. The backup process may take a considerable amount of time depending upon the number of applications installed on your device. So that was how you can take the backup of the apps. Let’s now see how to restore it. Note: Currently there is no way to take backup of only selected apps. It’s either everything or nothing. Restoring a BackupWhen you want to restore the apps, connect the device to your computer using the data cable and run the Ultimate Backup Tool batch file. This time select option 8 corresponding to restore. Once you start the restore process, the tool will prompt you to confirm it on your phone as well. If you have encrypted the backup, provide the password while restoring the app. That’s all, all the apps along with their associated data and saved content will be eventually restored to your phone. ConclusionI am sure non-rooted Android users who always criticized their phone when it came to backup will love this trick. The only problem with the current version of the tool is that it does not provide selective backup and restore options. But you never know, it might be fixed in the future updates. Source
