3 pointsTheoretically, RGSM cant deny port out...but then they should not have denied data connectivity (As happened during CDMA -> 3G switch). It is difficult to assume when it comes to reliance...anyways...lets see how it goes. Right now the projected tariffs would drive customers away....as airtel is offering better services and prices. These are highly impractical rates, if these are final ones. Guys....once we are in GSM/3G/LTE domain...as Reliance has forced us to....we are in open market. No more buying expensive CDMA/EVDO handsets and bearing reliance behavior.... so as soon as reliance behaves irrationally...people are gonna jump ship. I am sticking to reliance for now...as my postpaid plan is the same as earlier with same services. Coverage is bad but i never used reliance as primary connection anyways...just for data.

2 pointsThis whole thread is full of this answer and the post just above yours also details the same nicely. What exactly do you want, you will have to move your eyes a little bit to get the info you seek.[emoji12] [emoji41] [emoji23] Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk

1 pointredmi 3 also comes with hd display, vibe K5+ comes with full hd display. G4 good choice but it comes with 5.5" display but sanju needs a 5" display and btw G4+ is more VFM compare to G4.

1 pointaligobi RGsm coverage is not good. Aircell merger will take long period. Wonder is, lot my friends are Aircell customers in Coimbatore and they feels displeasure over this merger and believe Aircell going to loose its present status on take over by Rel.

1 pointI started getting 4G at Shalimar Bagh, New Delhi area in the evening. Speed is not impressive though 4~9mbps (mostly on the lower side) Tho making phone calls is problematic as whenever I try to make a call 8 out of 10 times I get message that "Network is Busy". Maybe they are working on the towers nearby.

1 pointYes...it is hard to imagine if Reliance was my primary number. I dont even get GSM network inside my drawing room. Even Aircel has way better converge than Reliance here.

1 pointRcom lost huge revenue in Gujarat. As said Dr. Faramroze. Maximum connections port Out to Voda and Idea as there is no Rcom 3g. Before 6 month We have CUG Group of 250 connections and other around 500 connections of near and dear. Today above 90% are ported.
-
1 pointThat's what I say.. If its NOT a primary number, then the 4G transition chaos of RCom is bearable.

1 pointhello again fellow members with all the craze going on about 4g lte and what handsets to buy, i had recently posted that two of the xperia z series which are now affordable and fully support all three bands of lte. but this thread is for deals and this one seems just perfect, could be for a limited time as its seems like a replacement product which comes with 6 months manufacturer warranty. yes its selling on ebay india - Oneplus 2 http://www.ebay.in/itm/201555711389?aff_source=Sok-Goog Rs.16,499/- fabulous phone with all 4g lte bands supported for indian use and dual sim support, you get snapdragon 810 processor which is just a step below 820, 4 gb ram unbelievably and 64gb onboard storage. amazing construction with official various back panels to change looks when you want. an impressive 13mp camera with OIS for great low light and fast moving objects. for this price i think its one of the best smartphones to buy in india right now. the only new gen features you can complain for are NFC and quick charge, which are missing but i am sure you can do without them as well.

1 pointRCOM CDMA used Lucent network cards and ATC hardware, Tata CDMA and BSNL CDMA used Cisco network cards and ZTE hardware. Reliance GSM used China made cheap hardware, some components costing a mere Rs 60. Moreover RGSM is based on 1800 mhz hence frequent maintenance. Reliance cannot improve voice quality after some extent so they have made illegal icr to Tata Docomo GSM even where it's own network exists. Idea and Vodafone have invested astronomically in 4G components so they will any day provide superior quality. If the upcoming 700 Mhz LTE slots are bagged by idea, it will be pack off time for RCOM-RJIO alliance. RJIO has an obsession to create and expand it's LTE capacity because it feels even if they dont get enough subscribers of their own, they will trade 4G icr with other GSM operators like Videocon and Uninor. 4G monopoly of RJIO will be destroyed further when 3G operators will give narrow band 4G on their same spectrum. There is no sim card ICCID IMEI binding like Jio in other networks. Reliance will definitely be instrumental in providing cheap 4G as LTE revolution but ultimately other networks will succeed. 1 point(1) Actually the problem is not about the coverage. It's about the voice clarity of RGsm [or lack of it to be precise]. My home is just 200m away from RGsm tower. But if anyone calls me in old RGsm no, they always hear some motor running sound in background. Compare this to the earlier crystal clear voice clarity Rcdma customers are used to, then it's better to port out IMHO. (2) Another thing, 4G will take minimum 1.5 months to get launched by Rcom and instead of dealing with Rcom 4g chaos, knowing no 4g coming for 1.5 months, people can use other network [incl 4g] for 3 months and return back to Rcom 4G, if it was still good at that time. (3) Last but not least, people often forget one important point. The 4g coverage of Rcom will be as good as Rcdma earlier, but voice coverage will be worse. Seeing the half full signal bars of 4g, You may think that you are in good coverage area, but in reality you may be missing so many voice calls in the background due to lack of voice fallback network. Simply put, data coverage better than voice coverage is more like a curse in the disguise of boon, IMHO. So my best advice for Rcdma customers of TN, is port out for time being if it's your main number. This whole thread is a very good proof of Rcom's inability in handling such delicate situation. Else if it's just a secondary number, then you can surely take chances and enjoy Rcom's comedy. sent from my Lenovo Vibe P1 using Tapatalk

1 point@Jagan T for safer side we have to keep porting code generated... As it's primary number can't take risks...!!

1 pointYes.. He said clearly in his last post.. Even I have checked it personally.. The SIM I got with Wind4 for my relative is working without any issue in my Water1.. But the Preview offer sim is NOT working with even Jio MiFi.. I am using employee sim in that MiFi for now.. I will post the review of Jio MiFi once I get some free time...
