    You have to flash cdma radio via cmd. There's a separate topic by Dr.faramroze in this forum. It'll just require 5-10 minutes to flash the radio.

    I am using cdma with sim (Sprint version). Can anyone confirm if data n all works after updating to LollipopSent from my SCH-R530U using Tapatalk 2 Yes data works but after updating to lollipop the phone goes in digital roaming mode. So, once it goes you have to flash that radio via CMD.The update will not harm anything.

    For those who are using it on omh mode they have to flash radio once again as the phone goes in digital roaming mode. I didn't faced any issue regarding the battery level. If anyone faces it then you can use the solution which is posted by dkaile.

    There are many phones in your budget like ZTE Engage, Samsung Stellar, LG Tribute, Motorola Razr M, Electrify M. By considering your points you should now select the models. USB Tethering and Hotspot works fine on ZTE and Electrify M. Whereas on Samsung Stellar root is required and a 3rd party app is required to use. Don't worry about network point you posted it changes model to model.

    You shortlist the phones you would like to have and then distinguish each phones with your concerned points. Around 85% of the forum members are cdma users.
