  1. I think Jio is coming up diversities so that they can offer Multiple services combo in economical price.
  2. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

HOTSPOT with 2 Laptops and 2-3 mobiles with 10 hrs battery life ???
  3. AIRCOM ?

AIRCOM or may be AIREL ?
  4. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

Check if voice & SMS is working or not - because EVDO only works for DATA and for voice & SMS 1x CDMA is required AFAIK.
  5. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

You can migrate till August 16 for Mumbai circle (as mentioned in TRAI Notice on rcom.co.in for Mumbai Circle). You can check for your circle specific date in the notice - the 90 days lock-in period will start from 16th August for Mumbai users (Probably the commercal launch will start on the same day). Update: It is same for Delhi too - 16th August 2016. Go to this page http://www.rcom.co.in/Rcom/aboutus/news/4G-notice.html
  6. Smartphones that will work on Reliance 4G

    Well said !
  7. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

In my 2G mobile it shows either Reliance 4G or Reliance whereas the connection is 2G/EDGE. In my 3G/4G Mobile it only shows Reliance whether I connect to 2G or 3G or 4G. Weird !!
  8. Smartphones that will work on Reliance 4G

IMS is present in latest SOC's only and not in all older ones - No need to frown go and download datasheets of SOC.
  9. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

A few only - who recharged ₹97.00 after migration when 4G services became active.
  10. Which specific model ? VS985 or LS990. LS990 supports : LTE band 25(1900), 26(850), 41(2500) You need to unlock Band 3, 5 & 40 to use it.
  11. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

Forget 4G - No 4G data will be given. If you got 2G its your bad luck (you cannot use it as 3G.) Seems you activated your SIM in a 2G handset. Check by dialing codes: *367# , *367*1# , *367*2# and see if you got promo talk time R2R free and 150 min local & std for one month.
  12. Reliance CDMA Shutting down

VoLTE should be enabled in order to use calls.
  13. Smartphones that will work on Reliance 4G

VoLTE depends on IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) which should be present in the SOC used in the mobile device - and only then software can be used for communication through this feature when enabled on handset as well as on the operator side.
  14. Smartphones that will work on Reliance 4G

But If you have a handset with Band 5 support - you will have a better indoor connectivity. As we all know the quality and speed of Mobile telephony and Data is all about signal strength.
  15. Your phone should latch to 4G and Data will work only if you recharge with 4G pack (Prepaid) or Subscribe to 4G data pack (Postpaid). For calls and SMS it will switch to 2G/3G network. Is your phone able to connect to 4G network? Is manual scan showing Reliance 4G or any other 4G network?
  16. Smartphones that will work on Reliance 4G

Yes manual search will only scan radio frequencies which it supports.
  17. Smartphones that will work on Reliance 4G

As mentioned on Asus Website: WCDMA/FDD-LTE Data Rate: DC-HSPA+: UL 42 / DL 5.76 Mbps LTE Cat4:UL 150 / DL 100 Mbps 2G : GSM : 850(5)/900(8)/1800(3)/1900(2) 3G : WCDMA : 850MHz(5)/900MHz(8)/1900MHz(2) /2100MHz(1) 4G : FDD-LTE: 2100MHz(1)/1800MHz(3) TDD-LTE: 2600MHz(38)/2300MHz(40)/2500MHz(41) ASUS phone 4G/LTE band compatibility varies by region. Please check compatibility with local carriers If intending to use your ASUS phone outside the original purchase region. SIM1 Support2G/3G/4G SIM2 Support2G/3G/4G / It is hardware dependent - Hardware should support as well as Software should also have facility to invoke/enable VoLTE when required.
  18. Lets Ask Arun

I have few suggestions: Why not Rename Reliance Mobile - CDMA Services to Reliance Mobile - 4G/LTE Services. (Is it too early to think of it or GSM Services will be renamed 4G services later once it is commercially launched ?) Why not include Reliance 4G option in the Network selection box in profile. (We have already moved to 4G from CDMA and we are selecting GSM instead, though I know that the basic network for 4G is GSM.) Reliance Mobile Handset or Secondary Handset option in the profile should be updated with new models or Custom option should be added so that one can write the correct model. (Otherwise it remains "Not Listed" for many users - after adding Custom option "Not Listed" could be changed to "Not Disclosing/Telling". Also include R-Jio in the Network selection box. Will suggest again if any thing else comes in my mind.
  19. MTNL Mumbai (Dolphin/Trumph) is offering 3G 2.5GB + 2.5GB = 5GB 3G data (for 28 Days) for ₹299.00 (Offer Valid till 31 July).
  20. Nothing for Delhi yet.
  21. Now all Data packs are listed in MyServices Online recharge.
  22. Go to Reliance store and collect your 4G SIM (Free of cost). You may take your handset and keep your ID proof as well. Go to rcom.co.in and on the first slide saying Upgrade to 4G, Click on Register now or go here http://myservices.relianceada.com/4gm/ directly and register. Store people can also directly take activation request for your New 4G SIM - just ask them.
  23. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

I am using 3G data since 7-7-2016 and almost consumed 7.5 GB but the promo balance still shows 9216.00 MB valid till 8-8-16. This is an old Reliance trick to eat up your core balance once you cross the limit. I have nothing to loose as I have kept balance ₹0.01
  24. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

Read below - He already tried other operators with no success in his area. So porting will not help. Rcom will not do for a single customer and neither any other operator will do for a single customer. Since he was happy with the CDMA network, I suggested him to wait for 4G - which will be on the same band. But if he also wants CDMA like solution for voice he can opt for VoLTE option of R-Jio since 4G band will be the same band which CDMA was using i.e. 850Mhz (LTE Band 5). So the coverage will be very good.
