KanagaDeepan 1,084 Report post Posted February 22, 2011 For convenience of prospective 3G Mobile and High Speed Data service users, there is no changes for Voice and SMS tariff and it will be charged as Aircel 2G GSM Plan and customer can clubbed any 3G data plans as their needs and suitability.The 3G local, STD and Roaming Video Call cost will be 5 paisa/sec (Rs.3/minute).Aircel introduced various 3G data tariff plans starting from Rs. 92 but there is no Unlimited 3G data plan launched by the operator. Aircel Data Plan for Rs. 132, Rs. 252, Rs. 502 & Rs. 802 the consumers can enjoy 75MB, 150MB, 350MB & 1024MB data respectively for a month (30 Days Validity) with inbuilt voice & SMS services. I don't want to see separate pricing for mobile internet and internet through mobile(like dongles). It's a horrible retrogressive step. It's must be left to the customer choice on how he wants to use his 3G. EVDO failed miserably due to such foolishness of different tariffs. Let us hope Aircel will not make that mistake that too when rest of the 3G players(BSNL/MTNL,TATA,Reliance,Airtel) have not committed that mistake. The base rate for data will be 3paise per 10KB. This is really a rocking base tariff !! approx.Rs.3/MB Just compare it against others. BSNL -- 2p/10 KB (approx. Rs.2/MB) - recently increased from 1p/10 KB TATA Docomo -- 1p/KB (approx. Rs. 10/MB) RCOM -- 10p/10 KB (approx. Rs. 10/MB) Airtel -- 30p/20 KB (approx. Rs. 15/MB) Way to go Aircel..... @Kanaga, I feel Rs. 802 for 1 GB should be a combo plan with some voice minutes & video call minutes.
