List of 4G Handsets that works for India - Band 3 & 40 (1800 Mhz & 2300 Mhz)

Recommended Posts

I bought Galaxy s7 edge. Indian version supports all the major bands across globe. Especially if you are planning to take phone to USA then you are covered. Phone also supports all the possible bands rjio might use.

You are a rich man!

Since Indian Moto G3 supports volte already, I think Moto x play as well as style both support volte as well.

lg g4 sprint ls991 , i added band 3 and band 40 myself. still need to test 4g though. high chances of working.

Just by enabling the band in DFS Will not help, Becae i have did on S6 Sprint but still 1800 it comes searching only

I was planning to get s6 for my brother brand new costing 330$ around ₹22k

But now I am skeptical if it will support indian lte bands as seller mentioned it might be a verizon or AT&T device

VZ&ATT Both has 1800 band So both works on jio Tested by me

^^Is there a way to unlock all the bands on any phone??

All the Qualcomm chipsets have many bands, would be very useful.

There are many threads on xda to unlock bands as per device. Some got sucess, some didn't. If the lock is implemented at software level by carrier then more chances to unlock it, if band isnt supported by hardware or it is locked at radio level then its kind of difficult.

Not all handsets have easy way to unlock and support each and every band. Namely two of them with good specs standout. HTC one m 9

And galaxy s5 (us version)

If CDMA is Dead Why to Stuck with RCOM

Airtel, Voda, Idea All has very good network,

Punjab Circle Porting Results for RCDMA - only 4% Cusotmers have Opted Rcom else all have shifted to Other networks

Trying to enable LTE bands through successful methods given on XDA on imported handsets. It has nothing to do with cdma or rcom Parin Bhai.

Imagine if you wouldn't have answered I would still be skeptic about s6 which is 33k on flipkart.

Haha. Well its just not dfs, dfs won't save 6229.. Technically there are few more things needed to be changed like band priority list, band preference, disabling band 41, 26. I tried enabling both band 3 and band 40. Changed band priority list and few parameters, there is not much about it on xda I am only enabling LTE ony phone, no gsm or cdma. And it shows jio lte, but no band 40 lte. Technical reason behind it is sprint didnt added band 40 parameters by default and when you try to read it. Its just say its inactive. That is the main reason sprint phone doesnt work other band cause no parameter for other band. I had lost hopes for enabling band 40, but i saw nexus 5 sprint someone chinese did added parameters of few bands and it worked, which again making me curious and wanting me to dig. I am scared of bricking it lol . i did added few parameters from same chipset 810 phone and which support band 3 and band 40 but still going on .. No matter i get success or not, its just fun for me.

Positive people inspire me. I am following most unlock band threads and i saw some actually got success and problem is lack of people wanting to enable band 3 and band 40 which makes developer to show less interest and european and usa doesnt have those band where most developer comes from. Mi people got good success in enabling bands. Chinese mi phones for europe, except band 20..

This aren't set for sprint devices, these are the nv responsible. it works on lg nexus. but for ms8994 signal parameters maybe different.

RFNV_LTE_B3_C1_RX_GAIN_VS_FREQ_I 20322
hope i get qcn of lg 4g devices. for band 40, band 3, i need to manually search for the parameter responsible.. lg g4 is costly lol. i cant bear bricking of it, though i already bricked it 5 times.

I also tried enabling band 3 5 & 40. It is sticking with 6228 but not with 6229. Is 6229 belongs to gsm LTE & 6228 cdma? Might be a foolish question but curious to know. I am playing with sprint m9

read these

http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/general/guide-enable-unlock-edit-add-gsm-lte-t2948822

http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/general/how-to-add-rf-lte-frequency-bands-to-t2886059

these 2 links shows the ways to enable lte bands , just by enabling bands on dfs will not help ...even don't try on each and every phone it sometime can cause issues to phones such as

imei , baseband will show unknown, sound will stop working (mic , speaker none works) , phone not responding to hidden codes , not connecting in diag mode etc.

i and few others have faced the issue even flashing rom won't help ...be careful with experiments :hypocrite:

htc m9 sprint doesnt have parameters to work on band 3 or band 40.. it wont work even if you enable band..

if someone who have m9 international or other variant which support band, 3 and band 40.. then maybe there are chances..

one of the location of supported bands of htc m9 sprint,

/rfc/5/ATuner/lte/b12_device0_ant_tuner_char.dat: size 65, timestamp 2015/08/28 00:07:32, attributes -AD
it looks like antenna tunning..
I can try help you, if you get me international variant m9 which support m9 band 3 and band 40

HTC 510 do not have 2300 Band.  Moreover it do not have GSM.  Sadly, this phone may not work other than CDMA in india.
