@csmart

I also received a similar mail from Paypal and I have responded to them as below by sending them an email through their Help centre-

"Status Update on My Claim - Case no.PP-001-xxx-xxx-xxx

The tracking information provided by the Seller (Tracking Company: ttp://intmail.183.com.cn/

Tracking Number: xxxxxxxxxxxxx) seems to be bogus and after entering the tracking details on that site it says "cannot find a suitable item". Neither have I received the said item which was also removed by ebay after i had made the payment because it seemed to be fake item. So kindly expedite my full refund in this dispute.

Thanks

Dhiraj Kaile"

well i checked today n it shows it status as departure from outward office of exchange....

i dunno whats gonna happen next..

Are Buffalo drives supposed to be "good"?

Haven't use one myself so won't comment conclusively.. (Particularly to match with your rigorous standards... Lolz Just Joking...). Bufallo is major brand in US, Other Asian Countries.

But Buffallo, Transcend et all would be very similar in hardware aspect in Economy range. None of them manufacture HDD's...

All use HDD from one or the other few HDD manufacturer like Seagate, Samsung, WD, Hitachi etc.

Also in this economy range its a Commodity Market out there and not much to differentiate between HDD's also as the technology has matured a lot.

All HDD will be having very similar specs & performance & reliability record..

They try to differentiate with the bundled software, quality, shine & shape of the enclosure which i don't care much about.

So my mantra, leaving aside those chinese unbranded hdd enclosures, For the Economy Segment, one can go for the cheapest ones among the branded & known without much concern. (Unless one is able to find out some great hidden jewel..)

Enterprise Class Drives like Scorpio from WD is another ballgame alltogether.

it's good that

Discount is given for cart value.

It'e not case with ebay.

So better experience for user.

It's even goes BEST, that we can use gift voucher coupon within same purchase.

I read an article in times of india that

With introduction of COD(cash on delivery) model by many online sites.

their user start buying more, even new user are added very fast.

surprisingly, even yatra.co and similar also started providing COD for services they are offering

This one looks a good deal.

Use this code RCOMLSB ( provided by Rajan Bhai )

http://www.letsbuy.com/panasonic-th-l24c20d-p-12382

so the cost would be Rs 13,079.

how about this one... Using Rcom code.. it comes to 17k..

@Dkaile and @rajan lmk please..

Won't suggest Onida. Reviews are so, so, not very encouraging. Review here http://tech2.in.com/.../158662/0#story

As Dkji also said, my first preference is for Toshiba and then AOC.

If your friend now wants LED only, Toshiba has a 24" LED Model in the new Power TV Range - 24PS1 MRP Rs 20,490.

If LED thing is not essential (Which should not be considering the absolute unbelievable value this thing provides), there was one AOC 32" Full HD Model AOC L32 DK99FU at just Rs 18,990 listed here http://www.rimweb.in...post__p__212585

It should be available now also.

Thanks, that was kinda reassuring. In fact i was wondering if all these companies even made HDDs or its re branded stuff. Personally, I'v not had a great experience with Samsung drives. But That was few years ago. Dunno if they have improved now. Seagates have been good to me. Anyway, had almost decided to make the purchase, but due to unavoidable reasons, could not get online again before midnight that day, so missed the offer. crying.gif

After our experience with Onida CRT TV, I'd not recommend Onida as a brand to anyone, anymore. Even build quality of their stuff is not upto the mark. Sometime ago, was in the market for a microwave oven, and Onida caught my eye as they have some really attractive stuff. However, a closer look at the build quality made me quickly change my mind. The shop-keeper confirmed that its all sourced from China but probably made by "grade A" Chinese companies" (if I recall correctly). Well, the products did not come anywhere close to my definition of "Grade A" anyway. tongue.gif I'm pretty sure its the same case with their LCDs.

Their CRT TVs in the past used to be really durable though. I'v known people using them since a decade or so. I guess they weren't made in China, lolz!

It is difficult to get an electronic product which does not have any of the part sourced from China.
