    Has anyone tried Tata ruim. I have an inactive ruir from Tata - and when I put it in the iphone. It detects the sim application. Also my network settings got changed. No service - as I am waiting for the porting to complete.

  9. Hi, I want to purchase a CDMA based smart phone. I was hoping to get some help using my iphone 6 (A1586) on a CDMA network in India. But it seems nobody has cracked that as yet. Meanwhile, I want to purchase an LG Tribute or Moto E from Ebay GEB. But not sure which model will work out of the box. So any link will be helpful. I understand that Moto E Verizon works out of the box but what about Boost model. Also, are there other alternatives to Moto E / LG Tribute. I dont want to spend more than 6K. Any link to handsets that work with Tata/BSNL/RCom CDMA is welcome. Please folks - help me out.

    The SBI eBay page shows the offer but not the coupon. Can you share your coupon or was it single use only?http://deals.ebay.in/partner-offers/sbi/ It was one time sms code coupon that I tried to use again but did not work. I can share that with you in case you want to try.

    The actual price was 5497. I had a 30% off coupon from SBI card. ( Max discount of 1000). Plus I used pay back points that I had earned using my ICICI. The exact price I paid is INR 2901. But for others - it may be 4500 which is again not bad. That listing ended.     Finally ordered a brand new sealed Moto E LTE Verizon version. Managed to get it for 2.9k through GEB. Not sure how many days it will take? Keeping fingers crossed.

  15. As far as I know, the iPhone model sold in India are GSM ones. But looks like it is capable of doing CDMA as well. Has anyone in this forum tried to make it work with any CDMA provider? If I buy a reliance OMH sim and pop it into iPhone 6 A1586 - will that work? Any geeks here? Please throw some light.

    Sammy phone! No way. Its too futuristic and so cheap(cost less) that makes it so down market. You actually have to wait for like 6 months for it to become obsolete. But iPhone ... its awesome. It already obsolete the moment its announced. "Its has kind of a retro feel which I like." Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk Pretty smart reply. Vertu. People across the world as so dumb making the undeserving Apple the No. 1 company in the world. I am currently using a Samsung Note ( Streak before this) and I still find my iPhone 4S better. Play with your Quad core phones with LTE in a country that does not even a proper 3G coverage.

    I find Apple better than Samsung. Apple products are beautiful and yes they are not dumb. They are very innovative. They changed the way world we see it today. I don't care if Android has better and powerful OS, there is no WOW factor in it. I agree they are costly and most of us cannot afford it.

    Now using WIMAX in Trivandrum. I get close to 1Mbps dl and 550 ul (avg). Plan is 750 unlimited. Pretty good experience.

    Let's not impose our likings on each other. It's more about what do you want to do with your phone. Both iOS and Android can do things for you. Both has great features to the taste of consumers. Decide what appeals you. Personally I feel iPhone is a neat product. If I have money for Galaxy S2 and iPhone 4S - I would prefer an iPhone. Love Siri. It is way ahead of any speech recognition stuff out there on any platform. PS: Currently I am Android user.
