Here is a full ODIN , yes its full odin package of GEEWIZ rom

has everything ,

ROM - geewiz 2.8

KERNEL - geewiz 2.8

MODEM - (eh03 )

Recovery ( geewiz recovery - you you like red recovery then you can flash it later as well )

http://www.mediafire...jft23n4h75x5lpp

This will do a full wipe of your data so backup data on whichever ROM you are ( except ICS - for ICS you should ideally flash eh03 odin with atlas pit and then over it this geewiz ODIN )

I just got my phone and the its on 2.1(Eclair) ! :censored3:

So to update it to the geewiz rom, I have to use ODIN, put the above file in PDA section and pit file. Right?

Also with this ROM, can i put the phone in diag mode for programming or I have to use stock EH03 only?

With stock EH03 also, do I have to use the pit file?

Well I flashed the stock EH03 with pit file and all went well. The after I flashed the above Geewiz ROM with pit file. It was successful as well. But now when I boot phone, it goes to the geewiz recovery only. Even after exiting, it goes again back to geewiz recovery!

What possibly went wrong?

@joshm..

Successfully upgraded to AOKP Ics rom. Installation went neatly.

But i have lost my data connectivity. It does not show 1x or 3G signal at all.

Please help soon. I've just got time till sunday evening or else i'll have to revert back to GB which i sincerely do not want to do as i have stared liking this rom already

( I use Data connection extensively on my phone & without it the phone is of very less use.

i have flashed the data fix file for isc & installation was successful.

I think you have to copy and paste these two files chap-secrets and pap-secrets to system/etc/ppp folder. You should have saved these file before updating to ICS. If you have not saved the file, I think you have to revert back to GB rom, save these files and again flash ICS.

Correct me if I am wrong.

Strange

First wipe cache and dalvik and if not enough data u have added then wipe data too

After that flash Google apps then data fix

Should work

If not then flash the 3g dump settings via cdma workshop again

After that flash the data fix

I tried flashing ics data fix files using recovery but still no result.

In the meanwhile as i thought of reinstalling the rom again, i flashed atlas pit & stock eh18 rom. It went fine but when the phone rebooted, it showed some error of not able to format datadata. The booting process went fine & i am now able to use the phone for both data & voice.

Next i odined the red recovery & then via recovery wiped data, cache & dalvik & then installed geewiz rom & kernal zip. Now the phone is not going beyond the VZW screen & keeps rebooting.

ok so now you are back on GB

anyways

just go into recovery again

wipe everything , data , cache and dalvik

flash geewiz 2.8 again and then geewiz 2.8 kernel ( make sure the files are alright which you are using

if it fails then

use EH03 + atlas t go back to stock and start over.

If its too much then i would suggest stick with froyo or GB alone and dont fiddle around anymore.

@joshm

As mentioned in my earlier post I am on eh 18 froyo . I'm not even able to flash geewiz as whenever I try to do that, the phone boots, shows Samsung logo, shows Verizon animation, stays for a while and then restarts and does the same thing again.

Is there anything else I can do to flash geewiz or any other custom gb rom?

Hey Amitrotray... good to hear that you are now on ICS. Even I was able to seamlessly move on to ICS (thanks to the superb guide by joshm) from my geewiz setup but i had to revert back to froyo as my 1x/3G data could not be enabled. But i did enjoy my few hours of ICS. Its awesome. So smooth. So many features. Loved the status bar screen. Its just awesome. I just wish i can re upgrade to iCS again but this time with data too.

@joshm & other seniors... kindly help me get back to GB first & then ICS please.

@ Maverick don't worry, you must AOKP ICS, with all data work. my best wishes with you.

@ Jasmin my experience is awesome. everyday I am thinking, let's do it today. but having some fear if something happens like, when GB updates at last the phone asking for language choice. if some similar thing happens. But today I have done it. thanks to Joshm, without his guidance & procedure I can't do it.

I started one by one step, when one step completed without any problem you can't believe how much satisfy you feel. But you should be on STOCK EH03 & atlas pit with repartition option. Make a nandroid backup of your current ROM first.

again Thanks JOSHM. :hi2:

Well I am happy that I was of some use to someone after all.

M5 is great.

Although I am on an even higher build but would suggest you to use M5 and set it up.

Add all contacts and settings apps and all. After that using my backup root backup everything.

And even make a nandroid.

After about a week or may be 15 days based on my experience with my latest build I will tell you all about updating it.

Have fun

Hi Joshm,

what we have is all your effort only.

one thing is it first uninstall all app before going to GB to ICS ?

How can I uninstall/delete all the App of GB, that install in the memory card.

And all the best for your research work.

wiping data, cache memory in blue recovery before flashing ics will uninstall all apps. you can also format your memory card to remove data installed in it. @Joshm you can correct me if im wrong.

its pretty simple only WIPE the card

but before that copy all its contents to your PC

and norte down the type of file system it is having , i mean FAT or FAT32 or ntfs , generally its lamost always FAT but no harm in havin a look

once done

wipe the card using either phone or PC

once done , transfer back some essentiual folders like clockworkmod , rerware and titanium backup and stuff which will be useful later on

@Sliver $ Joshm : what I have seen in my card is that, previously installed app's folder like game soft is 1.8gb, viber, Whats app etc. so, that's why that thing comes to my mind. now I am deleting manually one by one. But so many folders is there that name is totally different and contains data. that is the main reason I am worry about it.

At this point there isn't Amy way

Try this if it helps

*#*#4636#*#*

I haven't tried it and don't intend to

I always stay away from those things.

Try on ur own

You may lose data which I think can be recovered after reboot but then I do no that either.
