One time I was able to use Opera mini after installation after that I keep on gettign the error Invalid application. Any solution? Same for nimbuzz too-I was able to run one time after that gettting same error message.

Am a long time 6235 user... Finally got WAP to work on the phone.

Here's a summary on how to do it (as available in earlier posts):

1. Enable Mini Browser by typing *#BROWSER# (*#2769737#)

2. Go to Gateway Settings > Server Details and enter server details as: 160.036.057.172 port 3127

3. Go to Mini browser under Messages & you are connected!

You also might want to install:

GmailAPP (for direct access of Gmail)

OperaMini (super browser, much better than inbuilt minibrowser)

For both of these you could:

a. Install from minibrowser by visiting operamini.com or gmail.com/app (But this seems to be problematic since the Java files can't be accessed directly from the phone. You have to go via minibrowser again and again. Hence option b.)

b. **Recommended** Install the Jar files as attached

(Note latest OperaMini Jar can be downloaded from www.operamini.com. Don't know how else to get GmailApp Jar)

Another Update: I was able to install and successfully run GMail's mobile application from the mini-browser. However, it is installed in the sub-folder C:\predefjava\carrier and am unable to use it from the Phone's Menu. Am still struggling to move to C:\predefjava\applications. Any ideas how to go about it?

Please let me know how u came ot know that gmail mobile application is installed on C:\predefjava\carrier and not on C:\predefjava\applications. Got any idea how to move it. I installed nimbuzz but cant see it on my phone menu. How cna I find it?

Used MobiMB to browse through the phone contents, and saw the GMail application installed in C:/predefjava/carrier. Am not sure about Nimbuzz but you can use MobiMB to browse the phone, and look for it.

just wanted to knw yaar atleast we can have some good music player which we can use rather then playing it like da 1 we have so asking i havent got any mp3 player for java mobiles but der r many for symbian so was asking abt it

No music player for our phones as yet (6235/6265/6275). Have to use the one which is pre installed.

I dont know about 6235, but in 6265/6275, we can run music player in background. Infact I play games while listening to songs. When you play songs in 6235, can you just come out of the player, by pressing the end key on the phone?

This phone doesn't allow to set any ringtone, other than the standard ones that come pre-loaded, for a specific Name in the address book. Is it a standard feature...err bug? or is there a problem in my handset?

Yes, otherwise 6235 is a decent phone, although it does not support customized themes.

can any1 give me details abt all settings required for WAP access thru minibrowser. I used to use Opera earlier bt it doesnt seem to work anymore. Also, pls tell me if username and password need to be entered in settings.
