That was rolled back really.. Reason see below.. Yes aalok ji.. I recently got some more info about preview offer. They thought to extend preview offer till launch date initially [thats why the Nov extension of validity shown in MyJio app initially], so that they need NOT disclose the tariff plan to those people whose 3 months FREE offer is over. But later, they got the idea that, if Unlimited 4G offer is NOT extended, then most people may again buy LYF phones to enjoy another 3 months of Unlimited 4G as they got the taste of high speed internet -- more like blood smell shown to veg Lions.. At least those who bought decent phones like Water and Earth, may buy flame series phones for sure, to enjoy UL 4G continuously.. For the old preview offer users, they may give some small quantity limited 4G data as free per month till launch (for eg: 10GB or 5GB per month at 4G speeds and then slow / NO data -- Number NOT yet finalized just like free calls and sms). Let us wait and see...

Yes.. He said clearly in his last post.. Even I have checked it personally.. The SIM I got with Wind4 for my relative is working without any issue in my Water1.. But the Preview offer sim is NOT working with even Jio MiFi.. I am using employee sim in that MiFi for now.. I will post the review of Jio MiFi once I get some free time...

A query: If Rcom starts using Jio 4G network, will it be only for data or will the voice also migrate to VoLTE ? Asking coz if voice remains on Rcom 2G, then don't see the big advantage as it is absolutely pathetic.

If you have been using RCDMA as a secondary number and need a new handset, then this is really the best option. OEM is Haier, as against other useless chinese companies in case of Flame or Wind 6. As long as you do not intent to use this as the primary handset and do not load too many apps it would work fine. Build is not that back and has a good grip. Touch is also reasonably well. You can use it as a mobile hotspot for your primary handset. Jio Play/Beats/Movie apps working perfectly on other android sets with same user ID, as long as connection is routed through wind4 via mobile hotspot.

You can't move to yet another operator via MNP before 90 days... Your only option now is submitting proof to the showroom again and try complaining on pgportal as well

RCom gets nod to launch 4G services The first 12 circles are Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Gujarat, Kolkata, Maharashtra, Punjab, east and west Uttar Pradesh, Mumbai, Orissa, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar Subscribers of Reliance Communications' CDMA devices, who have a 4G SIM, will now be able to access the service as the company had received the legal intercept and monitoring (LIM) approval from the department of telecom in 12 out of 22 circles. The first 12 circles are Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Gujarat, Kolkata, Maharashtra, Punjab, east and west Uttar Pradesh, Mumbai, Orissa, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar. RCom is in the process of shutting down its CDMA services and has offered subscribers to move to its 4G services since May this year. However, the telecom service provider has not been able to activate the service due to the pending LIM approval. While the company has got the approval for 12 circles, it is expecting to get the requisite approvals for the remaining six circles shortly. Approval in the remaining four circles (Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan) will take another at least 45 days, as Reliance Communications liberalized its spectrum in these four circles only last month. RCom has been attempting to wean its five million CDMA customers to Jio's 4G LTE network since May. While the users will continue to be RCom subscribers, the network will be powered by Jio's all-IP based next generation network. While the low-ARPU customers have already migrated to the company's 2G services, the high end consumers have not been able to experience the service as the company had not got the requisite approvals. With this approval, RCOM can now begin the process of moving its high-ARPU data customers to the shared Reliance Jio 4G LTE network. source

If we look at the connectivity specification of Lyf smartphones - all of them support LTE-FDD Band 3(1800) and LTE-TDD Band 40(2300). Majority of them, but not all, support Band 5(850) too. Apparently, any phone that supports all three frequencies should work on Reliance 4G / Jio. Happy to be corrected if I missed anything though. I guess I will settle with 5 inched Oppo F1 because it supports all three bands, has good technical specifications with seemingly good camera power. Here are a couple of links that could help you understand and explore the technical capabilities of LTE bands: https://www.quora.com/What-is-the-difference-between-TD-LTE-and-FDD-LTE http://electronicdesign.com/communications/what-s-difference-between-fdd-and-tdd
